Hello Frank, Beloved Linn LP12 have played for me last 20 years. I really happy with great sound and I will accompany with her eternally. One thing, align the counter weight to balance zero is very difficult due to its sticky. I recommed you to change this sticky way to THREAD way. Thread moving way will be more precise and easy.

Firstly, the LP12 in top-spec guise is poor VFM, and suffers from tonal imbalance ('bloom') and higher tracking noise relative to others, thanks to its suspension, belt-drive and general construction. There are several after-market plinths which are better/different to Linn's standard offerings -- far cheaper than this nonsense.

Bit of a faux pas to put this out with such poor audio.

NAP 350 (and 250) has some questionable design decisions. It has heatsinks on a side of the case, which have no function, since output transistors are in the middle of the chassis, with their own heatsink, which is inside a case, with no vents and needs active cooling (ventilator). Form over function, I would say.

Naim isn't overhyped anymore than any of the other well regarded solid state amplifiers. I have owned some of the best and Naim amps have a "house sound" that sounds fantastic with complimentary speakers.

If I had £50k to spend on a turntable, it wouldn't be on a copy of a Thorens TD150. I wonder what the LP12 would look like, or if it would even exist, if Thorens made washing machines instead of turntables. Just a thought.

I've had an interest in hifi and electronics for most of my life, so I would say I know enough to appreciate what a truly well-made product the LP12 is. However, the two things that have always put me off are the eye-watering price and the pretentious nonsense that some people talk when describing it.

Get a lav mic if you haven’t already. Taking about audio quality when speaking into the camera with the camera mic…..constructive criticism. I can recommend rode and zoom recorders.

That's Ivor's son i guess. I like to see some historical brands to stay within the family rather than being swallowed up by edge funds or other kinds of financial sharks who are in in just for the money and not for the love of audio.

Now you have completely lost your grip. The most inflated Tp 150 ever! And now with a solid wooden frame in a special offer. Keep it up, I'm out and will now spend my money on hi-fi on brands where the value is still halfway right.

Way over priced I have a 25th anniversary Klimax level and I would sell it for 1/5 of current price which is around 50.000,00£

Afromosia with fluted sides for me, the original look and when the LP12 would wipe the floor of any other turntable made. We are in the realms of diminishing returns here, but there is no question that vinyl rules. This turntable with Naim amplification for me, always... they go together like love and marriage as the songs says... just find me some 2nd hand Isobariks!

this is probably only worth $2-3k of real parts & labour - the other $58,000 is for their research and their happy anniversary

It doesn’t matter what minor improvements have been made , is this product worth the price ? Absolutely not I,ve had an LP 12 when first launched , Fergus Fons , Thorens ….seen em all listened to em . For a product which fundamentally hasn’t changed a great deal , the price is now off the scale stupid ..

Crazy but I’ve never been a fan of these speakers. I’ve owned the 702s2 but from about there nothing else in the range is worth buying.
