E85 Gen V M90 GTP rolling launch.

Finally got out and did a couple pulls with the new setup! Car is currently running on summer blend E85 with Deka 60# injectors. Mods include GEN V M90 with 3.5 pulley speed daddy Headers with 3inch Downpipe autolite 104s and the car has been tuned by myself with a DHP Tuner. Trans doesnt like the added power but working a built one next! More mods to come stay tuned! for all your Pontiac needs...

The only thing that holds these cars back is fact the it’s transaxle with a weak trans to bad these cars wasn’t rwd with a decent trans they would’ve been something else

I’m not trying to hate but u might have a lot of kr this looks like my stock gtp all I got is down pipe n air intake n I think my shit is quicker than this but I’m about to put a 3.4 pulley n put the speed daddy header w a tune I’ll lyk how it goes
Watch my prior videos, definitely having a fueling issues etc, Still have the car just on to other hobby’s, I have an Aeroforce Gauge and watched it pretty often. The light will kick on red after 3 degrees KR, monitor your KR if going 3.4

3 years goes quick! This car is now on a GEN 5 Eaton M90 and converted to e85.
For the whine this is worth it hehe all I want for it to do is make noise and power all at the same time 😂
It might be old but I’m sure it moves a lot better than newer cars of this generation hahah it’s just harder to find parts but that is no biggie 😂
Sounds great at idle until you hit the revs, and sounds like tin cans shitting.

wats the boost diff on a gen 5 sc from a gen 3 stock with a 3.4 pulley ?
In comparison of the blowers the Eaton M90 Gen V is said to be slightlly more efficient as far as the air charge goes. Running a Gen V over a 3 can be equivalent to dropping .10 of a pulley size. So essentailly whenenever I swap mine Im going to install a 3.3 Pulley thus being similar to a Gen 3 with a 3.2 pulley. The gen 5 swap is well worth it I recommend it.

@Jakob Kay i know this is a dumb question but what does KR mean? i just bought a 2004 impala ss and i just installed msd coils, msd wires, and k&n intake 57 today. im new to the 3800 world. thanks in advance brother
It stand for "knock retard" basically shows how much knock is being detected
You don't want KR in these cars. Get a scan tool, and check. I've owned a few l67s. Some do have KR, and they are stock. Usually from running poorly. If you keep up with these cars they will last a long time. I'm running a 3.5 pulley in my 2000 GTP and it has no KR.
KR = knock r3tard. The computer retards the timing when the knock sensors detect knock.
3.4 with slp headers, custom 5 inch intake tubing, ported blower from zzp, with hp tuners made 60 in 5.7 many people go with speed daddy, the slp with a *real* tune with get you farther, a real tune consists of someone having the tune it, some of the these come stock with knock some dont, thats why you shouldnt use a drag and drop tuned ecu. just my thoughts on the matter :) getting that bad ass cam and dropping into 2's soon.
Ze Mole yes indeed. I went from a canned tune to an in car tune and it runs amazing now! No knock and fuel trims are in line. You can see on my other new videos that the car is alot better now compared to this one haha.

Found out the tune was holding the car back a bit. Now with a custom tune the car is alot better
How fast with tune
at the time of this video the cars supporting mods included speed daddy headers with a custom made 3inch down pipe and then I ran 3inch pipe all the way back until the exhaust separates for the stock mufflers. has a 4inch Cold air intake tube ran to the bumper along with 11mm Taylor Racing wires and Auto lite Platinum 104s and a 180 thermostat. was running stock PCM for this pull. however I found out my MAP sensor plug had broke and now I have a tune. Car runs so much healthier now and constantly pulls 12lbs of boost on 93 Octane. if you have any questions about the L67 or l36 platform feel free to add me on Facebook!
