I was trapped in the undertow once and was almost washed out to sea (I had lost my boogie board). My dad had ran in and saved me. Yet to this day I love the beach and I love the water and I love to swim.

He looks like he is having the time of his life right up to the point when he loses control of that wave. He is so awesome.

Not quite Baywatch!

It was somewhere in the mid- 90'. i was about 12 y.o. I was in this pool of a hotel on the seaside. I remember there were a lot of ppl .. adults and kids and suddenly i see this little girl, she must have been 5- 6 years old. She was with her dad and some other family members, but they weren't paying attention to her. Plus she was chewing on some biscuit or small sandwich or something - *while* being in the water & unsupervised.. 😑 That's so irresponsable from the parents to let her unsupervised and eat in the pool. I saw her chocking and slowly going under water attemptingin vain with her little hands to.grab on something. I didn't think twice ( i wasn't a very good swimmer either) but instinctively i just went to her grabbed her from one under arm and told her: please hang on me.. She grabbed my neck with both arms and i held on her and brought her to safety on the margin of the pool & made sure she's out of the water. I told her to never eat again in the pool and stay where water is low. She got obviously scared... I asked her: where is her daddy? She pointed him to me. The guy wasn't even paying attention to her... 😑🤨 She could have drawn and he was clueless.. He didn't even notice what just happened. Irresponsable ppl like that you see them crying after the fact saying they don't know how it happened. Ffs, parents, when you have small kids and you are in potentially dangerous scenarios, don't leave them to their own devices..you're responsible for their safety..!
