HydrosPlus replacement/upgrade loader cylinders part1
hydrosplus.com/shop/ols/categories/kubota
After watching John Ritter, I also purchased these cylinders, and I did it during the winter and didn't have my loader on. Now that spring has sprung I'm hoping to get them installed.

BX23S with a Titan Tree Puller - Will it work?
Переглядів 27111 місяців тому
Titan had their Tree Puller on sale and I couldn't resist. I have wanted one but wasn't sure my BX could really lift out a tree, but since it was on sale, and cheaper than any other tree puller I could find, I went for it. When it arrived I found the flat face couplers were much to big for my BX 3rd function couplers so I had to order some on Amazon and wait a few days, which was probably a goo...
BEC Customer Appreciation Day - KX080 test run

BEC is where I purchased my BX23S and they were having a customer appreciation day and had food and more importantly excavators to play with. I've used my backhoe multiple times and consider myself not to bad at it, but it does not compare with an excavator. I took a short video of the KX080 that I had some fun with. It's nice and blew cool air even with the door open on an 85deg day. I love ho...

cleaning out dirt for a back yard playground

Removing 6" of dirt from a residential back yard so the home owner could install wood chips for the base of a playground for his kids. The homeowner decided how much he wanted removed, and I made sure to follow his wish. Summit Hydraulics 3 valve Rear Remotes Part 5

Part 5: This is about done. I drilled a hole in the cab, attached the cables to the manifold, connected the wires from the switches to the manifold and powered it up. They work. I had a problem where the top link head was hitting a round dowel in the bottom of the toplink bracket and I ground it out so the top link will rotate up and down. I have now realized that the hoses I had custom made fo...

Surprisingly enough I was able to figure out that if I only want to have the tractor a...

I received my new Betstco.com 48" Medium Duty Flail Mower, FH-EFG125 today and I am excited! It was in stock so it was just about a week from ordering over the weekend and receiving on Thur. My order included extra hammers and belts so I shouldn't need to reorder anything to soon.
front loader hook up after sitting all winter problem
Переглядів 38Рік тому
I went to hook up my front loader arms after it sat disconnected through winter, but then because the hydraulic pressure dissipated over winter, it would not reach. It doesn't make any sense to cut the hoses just barely to reach, when Kubota would have obviously know about this kind of issue and it would have been fine if the hoses were slightly longer.

Part 3: Here I took the completed manifold and valves and couplers to the tractor to get an idea where I could mount it on the BX23S with the Curtis Premium Cab, not a lot of good options. I think I found the only place where it will fit using the supplied bracket, but I might try making another.

Summit Hydraulics 3 valve Rear Remotes Part 1
Appreciate for it in there last night. Do you know any quick hit hitch mods I can do to make this work with quick hitch setup.
I’m having an issue connecting my top point. Should I do that one first. I’ve always used my quick hitch for everything never connected anything without it before. Give me the order such as too mount then both bottom them pto shaft is this correct.
I pull my top link up and out of the way (tie it off somewhere) and I have the pat's easy change on my lift arms. So I connect the lift arms first, then after those are secured then I lower my top link and attach it. I then attach my pto shaft, but I presume you could do the pto shaft and then top link, but that's not how I've done it.
can you show how to attach to compact tractor
Hi, it connects like any other category 1 3 point hitch attachment does. If you need to see how that works, yes I can provide that. Please let me know if you still want to see it.
I found a tractorbynet website where someone used a 3/4" shackle for the bottom quick hitch pins and they have some pictures, but if I remember correctly YT doesn't allow me to paste a url in here. I'll try it but if you don't see one, you may need to google for it. Botajames TractorByNet.com thread 418527. www.tractorbynet.com/forums/threads/quick-hitch-for-betstco-flail-mower.418527/
I've watched all 5 parts, nice job. As I'll be do the same addition to my BX23S, I have a "?" Did you use 3/8" FF for all your quick connects or are they just on the AUX & 1/4 " to the tractor? Observations: Wrapping wires in 1/2" loom will protect your wire at possible rub points. Also, LOVE THE GROMMET IDEA. Swap remote plugs to the top & hose connections to the bottom. Brings the hoses inside of the ROPS, better protected then being way outside them. Thanks for posting your installs.
Thank you, I had fun doing it. I hate making mistakes so it probably could have been done much faster by someone else. I hope I'm understanding your question about the FF correctly. In most cases I used quick connects and they were female, so where necessary I did use nipples. For instance I did have to extend the hose from the manifold down to my top link and I used 2 different lengths together so that it would be long enough not to stretch the hoses, but I did not use any quick connects there. The top link had some kind of great britan (GB) port and I had to mickey mouse several connectors to get the hose permanently connected to it. But where I am connecting to the tractor from the manifold I used quick connects on both ends and those needed nipples. If I didn't understand the question correctly please feel free to ask it again. You are right that my hoses do need some protection and I keep forgetting to buy some. As for swapping top to bottom ports, one of the hoses that came with the Summit manifold had an 90 deg bend already, and I decided to use that and it would really only work on the top. I had originally planned to go from the bottom of the manifold but I could certainly change that around. Thanks for posting...
@@tekker8308 All of that is understood. My question is, what body size quick couplers are you using from manifold to tractor? Since most are 1/4" body on the BX
@@jeffalba3940 Sorry to have misunderstood the question. You are right, they are 1/4". If I said otherwise I was wrong. I have 1/4" at all points around the tractor, I hope that helps.
@@tekker8308 very much so sir, thank you
Hey, I need some of that fill 😢
Oh no, I brought it up to your neighbor, so you'll have to ask him. 😉
ball park how much did you charge to reove all that dirt. Great job by the way
I'm not one to kiss and tell. 😁
@@tekker8308 LOL I understand great job anyways my friend great video
Love that top link... When grading a driveway it always looks bad when you start, then it all comes together.
I was surprised that there wasn't as much gravel underneath being pulled up, but the owner wants to remove 2 or 3 inches and add more later. That will be fun. Thanks for checking in. You have a gravel/dirt road don't you?
@@tekker8308 I do have a 70 yard long gravel driveway, I may touch it up this summer. Looks like you have a nice project on the go... one day when I am home more, I will start side jobs.
@@ticklemeorange8328 Are you not home often?
What are you putting in?
Hey buddy, I'm fixing the sewer, wanna help? 😆
@@tekker8308 Sort of lol... It would be fun though.
Hi Tekker, It looks like you didn't lock the stand when you stored it... See this removal: ua-cam.com/video/0lQieNmnC4g/v-deo.html
Hi friend, actually I think I did, but I know that the bucket was on a pallet and the stand was lower - on the grass, and then over the winter it sunk further into the grass and thus it was too low. But I can see how it might appear that way.
@@tekker8308 Ahhh i see, it just dug into the soft ground. Hope you got it all hooked up now.
@@ticklemeorange8328 I was able to, after pulling up on the side, that really helped. I was however contemplating buying a few extension hoses but found pulling up on the side would work.
Very nice!
Thanks Brother!
Damn, that carboard was kickin yo ass! lol Don`t they let you carry a pocket knife there?
Hahaha that's funny. I would have to be smart enough to carry a pocket knife first.
Lose the garbage music. I would much rather hear the music of that diesel!!!!
Steel where i live is just way to expensive. I`ve been using composite decking boards on my BX23s from Lowes on my bucket and rear blade. Its been outlasting the OEM steel that use to be on mine. I used the original steel plates as templates to punch the new holes, then counterbore the holes not quite halfway. I buy one long piece, then make a few extra shorter ones out of it to keep handy when i need to change them out. I leave the beveled edge on the deck boards to act as a ramp so when i come up to something uneven, i never notice it hitting. If you insist on using metal, maybe step it up to AR500 plate steel. I think that would last alot longer than the OEM steel, but it ain`t cheap by any means.
Composite decking doesn't sound cheap, but it would sure beat the price of buying from Kubota. I'll have to take a look at them the next time I'm at Lowes.
@@tekker8308 How much did you pay for that length of steel you just bought? I went with the composite boards because it was easy to get, and alot easier to work with.
@@D70340 It was like $15 bucks. I could have cut it myself but chose to have them do it and with tax it came out to $25 for 2 lengths. I also had to buy some counter sink bolts, but on ebay they were $9. Then to drill the holes and a couple of drill bits and probably saved myself $200.
Well, i can`t think of a faster way to cost myself alot of money by destroying my own equipment by plowing out the whole neighborhood. The hits you were taking, it won`t be long before you totally destroy it. Let the neighbors do their own driveways. They have the same option you do to go by a snow blower. If not, let them pay somebody to have it done. Or are you getting paid to do this(?)
Your right, I'm not getting paid, and the maintenance will surely start adding up.
@@tekker8308 Yeah, i`ve been there and done it. I don`t offer anything up anymore. Nobody ever shows up with help or money when your stuff is broken. Lesson learned long ago. Don`t do it.
Wow I don't know if any cutting edge can with stand all the uneven driveways you are going to encounter. If you were to go with a nylon edge it will probably crack out around the bolt holes anyway. Maybe some kind of hard rubber, I don't know. But that almost looked a little bone jarring every time that edge hit and stopped you in your tracks. But hey the blower works well for what you're up against.
You are right and the new metal cutting edge I bought isn't holding up as well as I hoped. I'm close to uploading a short video about that. But I also found out that I need to inspect the shoes, shoe bolts and cutting edge bolts before going out. The shoes were giving way because the nuts came off and the cutting edge was taking a beating because the shoes weren't properly adjusted and all but one cutting edge bolt came off before I noticed it hanging barely by that last one.
I’m going to try and get one this fall for my bx23s. Do you mind me asking what you paid for just the cab not the install?
Let me try and find the paperwork. It was ordered with the tractor and mower deck and I'll have to see if i can find a price broken out.
Its in the $5,000 ballpark. I was going to get one for my BX23s, until they gave me the quote on it. NOPE, i don`t need it THAT bad.
Retired OldMan reminded me to look this up. Mine was 6340 and I know they added labor into that price for install.
@@D70340 yeah mine was a bit more, nothing comes down and everything goes up.🙄
Very well done video! That is the perfect machine for those driveways and the 10 miles of sidewalks. I need a heavier tractor for some steep inclines I plow in a more rural area, but it doesn't get in the areas that you can clear. Excellent work.
The forever compromise, size and power. I was tempted to get a B or maybe M model due to power, but they just wouldn't work in my lot and situation. I envy the power of the L series. The BX front loader max lifting weight is something like 650 lbs which is only a few bags of 80lb concrete and not much use for some real work, but I make due. Thanks for the comment!
Looks like a heck of a fun morning! Love the little Kubotas, they're such good compacts.
I know I love mine, it's a good size even though I would like something that can lift a lot more.
I think them Kubota's are perfect for the 'burbs, it is easy to be the hero when you can get into most places and help out your neighbors with such a nimble machine. Keep tractoring and have fun 😀
You are right. When I was looking for a tractor one of my primary goals was to fit on the sidewalk. That's not a normal "need" for a tractor. LOL
@@tekker8308 yeah holders c75 fits too but sure dont want pay rediculas $209,000 for one thats for sure thats why kubotas are the #1 cheapest affordable side walk machine on market
Wow, that’s a busy day, the cab is a must for that kind of work.
Living in the suburbs gives me a chance to be nice to many. But yeah it was a bit of work and I love that the cab is heated. Mine doesn't roast me though so I wonder if mine is different than others who say it's too hot. Thanks for the comment, and I hope to see more of your winter activities.
That's a big job, you will be a pro operator by the time you finish... Good idea removing the teeth... i think i'll do the same to clean my ditch.
Thanks for the comment, it took longer than I expected but was a pretty good experience.
Thats a sad snow day... Cheer up you have all of winter 2022 to look forward to ;)
And hopefully many more to come! Thanks
Congrats... These things are great, and your salesman did an excellent job after sale, looks like you have a good dealer.
I probably do have a great dealer, but the supply chain issues sure drive me crazy. Fall is almost here and no mid mount mower yet but that's not his fault I guess. What a world.
I think gravity would help immensely. Thanks for sharing...
Once I got them on, I've not had the need to remove them yet. :)
Nice work man! Have great week!
It was fun, but that's probably it for this season.
Lol your time will come!
Way your dealer did a way better job at explaining everything than mine did! That is going to be a great setup! Have a great week!
Maybe that's why I paid so much! LOL
Nice additions! I use a software called videopad that is free to edit videos with. You might switch so you don't get the watermark on your videos. Great vid though and keep em coming!
Thanks for the suggestion, I wasn't sure which ones to use, I'll try it out. 😀
I have the same toothbar on my bx23s and I love it! Keep us posted on the all of the items when they show up!
