Just got my first big bell for our driveway entrance! Why are they so enchanting? We also call our mini donkeys and horse from the pasture with another bell. We love them!
I was just told yesterday about people using bells to call animals and at first I thought it strange…but then I recall the troubles I have going outside and talking because the cows come to my voice…clearly there is wisdom beyond just simply calling them with a bell for the sake of feeding!
Having problems with my bill that I installed. No matter which way I put it, it. Leans to the opposite side. Any suggestions?
Thank you I need a little more confidence thank you for the video! Kentucky
You should of dug your hole at least 3 to 4 feet deep and used more concrete.looks like 2foot deep and 20lbs of concrete?
There are three bolts at the bottom of the yoke. The video shows them.
What is the best Way to install it on the post? I installed a 4x4 post. The bell is 15" cast iron.
Use a 6x6 or 4x6 dig your hole at least 3 feet and use 2- 80lbs of concrete packed in with fill dirt.
I make bells like that in my back yard..Hot job but fun...

We have this bell at our lake home in Wisconsin mounted on a post. The kids love to ring it every time they are near. What a cool piece of history.
I have one way up in the roof attic and cord runs 2 floors down to kitchen by window and all the cats come when i ring it.
