    How much does IR light does an LED produce, I have the IR filter on mine which I use.

    How do the LEDs affect the IR filter?

    • @TacticalSouthnz
      @TacticalSouthnz Місяць тому

      I was reading an old forum that might answer this question "white LEDs emit very little infrared light. Infrared filters will not produce an infrared beam when used with LEDs; the result will instead be *no* beam."

    Why is it over $72 ...I mean is it because of the high price of fuel in Brandons America to heat treat the thing.

    • @TacticalSouthnz

      I agree, the Wave is a much better multi-tool...but If I lost the MP600 in the middle of nowhere...who cares, not the same with the Wave

    I carry the Gerber Dime everywhere. I used to carry the Leatherman Micra but I think the Dime is more useful, especially the scissors. This is a very small tool but I think it is perfect for around the house. By the way Gerber’s lifetime warranty is unbeatable. A few years ago I sent an old Leatherman multi tool in for servicing. The tool had been completely abused. It was broken, bent, and twisted every which way. Leatherman replaced the tool but sent a note saying there warranty is for 25 years. About this time one of the kids brought me a Gerber 600 DET back from Afghanistan after his first tour. I use it more than my Leatherman tools. I enjoyed your video about the Gerber 600.

    I'm very familiar with PALS and MOLLE, and I also have a good understanding of ALICE. I've looked at these adapters many times (I get your regular email) and thought "what's the point?". It was not until this video that I saw the point. And now, I see the point. The name is the problem: it's really not a Kbar adapter at all, it's a belt-loop to MOLLE adapter. In my opinion, if you called it that, you'd sell more of them :) Thank you.

    My first multi-tool was a 400 then a 600, both blunt nose. Sadly they went needle nose to compete with Leatherman. The blunt nose is more of a work horse. I prefer the LM Wave/Charge/Surge line up but still pick up black 600s at airport sales.

    I have one that's about 10 years old and still going despite regular use. The beauty is its simplicity - built for general utility work. Works well as a fixed blade hiking knife. Nylon sheaths get a bad rap but this one is ok. I actually got a kydex one made up but summer in Australia just made the kydex too soft to use - no such issue with nylon (or leather if you go that way). Although prices are going up, this blade is still good value and easy to recommend. Take care.
