Maestro Bernstein was the best teacher that I ever had. Thank God that his lectures and rehearsals were recorded, so even today he is still teaching. Thank you Maestro, may your soul rest in peace.
Did you know he wore odour eaters during a performance and suffered with neurofibromatosis. He had never visited an abattoir nor practised a piece under water like Trifonov.
