GrubTerra Black Soldier Fly Larvae
Soo.... We were contacted by GrubTerra CoFounder Myra Sobrio about trying one of their products.
Black Soldier Fly Larvae
I've seen them in various supply stores but never tried them with our chickens.
Our chickens were a little slow to warm up to them since we had never tried anything like these before.
Now, when my wife opens the can where they are stored, the birds flock around her waiting for them to be dropped.

Hydroponics rebuild
Переглядів 1042 роки тому
After about a 3 month delay recovery from heart surgery, I finally got the hydroponics system cleaned out and ready to be used. Put the MasterBlend nutrients in and checked the levels. Then put some basic plants in. Each tube will hold 12 plants and 2 tubes to a 55 gallon drum with pump.
Deck Rebuild
Переглядів 842 роки тому
Rebuild half of our deck at the camper. The original was made from a shipping pallet for a queen or king size mattress that we got from a local mattress store. The wood of the pallet was untreated and eventually rotted. The rebuild used the deck boards from the previous deck. I build some "i-beams" using a 2x4 and 1x4 (2 each). Laid them out and then screwed the deck boards to it. It should las...

Preparing IBC Totes
Переглядів 9843 роки тому
My version of how to prepare IBC totes for rain water collection. I've seen a lot of totes that have been painted black. I decided to wrap in plastic (extra co$t) because with heat and cold the paint can flake off or breaks down in the sunlight. A thick plastic will not break down as easy.

How to restring a HART HPLP02 40V weed trimmer
Thank you! Worked perfectly. With two hands 😂
thank you!! this was so helpful! my life has been changed lol!
Have you tried growing your own black soldier fly larva?
Huge help. Thank you.
I couldn't find any detailed instructions with mine. Everything is minimal. My wheel is already starting to wear out and I have only had it one full summer with minimal use. I have a hard time turning the wheel to get the string in, it is very frustrating. I bought it because I thought it might be lighter than a gas trimmer but better than my Black and Decker that I have had for 7 years. I am not impressed and I have already bought all the attachments for it and can't use any of them because I can't lift them. They need to make a smaller model for petite people and one that holds up as well. I hope yours works better than mine!
Is there a spring in the trimmer head? No matter what I do, the string unwinds 😡
Thank you!
Thank you! About out of my mind getting this thing restrung. 😂
Jesus dude with the heavy breathing it's annoying
Thank you SO much for putting this video on!! Walmart sure was unable to help me with this issue.
Time flies. This was our first Sukkot, and I first met you and many others. Each year has been blessing af6er blessing since. Praise the Father for these things.
I don't see the first flush connected to any of the lines to the Totes. Is that what I see or did you eventually hook it up?
The first flush is the 2 verrtical tubes to the right side in the video. When the water fillas the tubes there is a bottle inside the tube that stops at the reducer (near the top) . At that point, the water flows to the horizontal pipe above the reducer, then flows into the topof the tote.
@@OzarkGeek Okay, I see it right at the opening of the video. Thanks, man.
Very Helpful. Thank You
Thanks bro...!! H~
That dog does NOT give up! Very distracting.
Thanks man, nice and easy to follow instructions. Only took about 2 minutes once I watched this video
Thank you so much for this!
It's pretty pathetic that a company puts out a product with absolutely 0 instructions on this. Thank you for the video
You da man . thank you ✌
Thank you so much. It helps a lot for me to figure it out. God bless you.
my HART is a single string auto feed....how do I restring it?
Not all heroes wear capes. Thanks hombre~
Thank you ! I was about ready to set this thing on fire ! Im used to gas powered ones but sadly ol shitty california canceled them right when mine gave out
Thank you so much, Roger!
Thanks, OG.
By the way, Roger, got my technician ticket recently. KQ4PFB . I am already studying for my general.
@@C_103 Congratulations!
Thanks for sharing
Make sure the oil didn't drain to the block
Where did you get the black liners please?
There is no actual liner. I used thick black plastic available in the paint section of most hardware stores. Roll it out and wrapped the tote like a package. The cut to allow access to the lid and levers.
@@OzarkGeek SMART!
Is there a video on how to install it around the travel trailer
No sorry. There can be several ways. I choose marine snap locks. One side drilled into the trailer and the other side in the top edge of the tarp. Allow room between snaps to account contract and expand from seasonal heat.
Very cool thank you Sir
What size line ?
I beleive it comes with .80 Should be spect in the manual. I have tried heavier but it doesn't release as well.
Thank you ! I was gonna use a torch !
Thank you very much, I was about to get a hammer and screwdriver a hold of it.
Thanks A LOT for this video. You saved me hours of trouble and possibly destruction of my trimmer. You sir earned the lifesaver award!
That breathing is making me nervous.
Very cool design!
Thank you so much man!!
Very helpful thanks
awesome...thanks
Different head than the one that actually comes on this product
I'm sure I'm with everybody else on here. Thank you so much, we appreciate you brother.
Thanks a lot . I was lost in space until l viewed your video . Now l can say , Houston l don't have a problem. 😂😂😂
“So easy a caveman can do it” thanks for the video!
What size string
You should have saved the little plastic crank that came with the weed eater . Otherwise thanks, I was trying to take it apart to string! Good to the point video!
Thanks man I would of never figured this out 🎉
For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.
Well done. Adapt, improvise, and overcome.
Thank you this really helped me
Amazing!!! Thank you thank you thank you
Thanks, buddy!!!
This helped alot! I was trying to do it like the gas-powered ones and took the whole thing apart, which worked until I needed to let out more line.
