I would recommended nailing a few words that put real emphasis on the ყ at the start of the word. ყოველთვის, ყველაზე, ყოველდღე. And listen out for the loud and abrupt "kick". It's all about producing 1 sound at the lowest part of the throat.

@ i struggle with it most intervocalically tbh. i can do it well in isolation but not in actual words especially not between vowels or in clusters. yv and yl suck

@lurji let's take a look at ყ-ლ. In this case thin of the word "colour" and reduce it to 2 sounds. Forget about making a word for a second. Sound 1 - q'uh ( it should klick in the back of the throat and not blend into any other sound. Like opening a bottle of wine, it just pops. + Sound 2 - luh q'uh+luh. Now make the sound really hard. q'luh

You will always need to add +ს (+ის is for words that end in ი, for some people they imagine you remove the ი and add +ის) for others they just add +ს to the word ending in ი. There is a video dedicated to this, ბირმვა number 3. I would recommended watching ALL 7 seperate videos, and making notes until each 7 case is 100% clear. There are no shortcuts. It's memorised. Ბრუნვა is a core aspect of the language. 😜👍

I think that you'll find the big cities, Tbilisi, kutaisi and Batumi all express nuances, that are are distinctive to their region. And although different not frowned upon. With that said,👅 some things are considered simply "uneducated" and unrefined. For example, ალბად ( instead of ალბათ) კარგათ ( instead of (კარგად). And many other არასწორი mistakes.

I also struggled. Every NOUN must have a case. (7 ბრუნვა) Every ending, (approx 15 თანდებული) must then, take a case. It takes a while to get used to.

So when you hear . Twali and Tkwen. Don't bring it up. 😂 Გვაქვს = gwak'ws (Natives can get VERY precious about it) Same with მ. Sometimes it's barely, barely audible, ( somtimes) Მშობლები - 'შობლები Არის = არი' (No ს) Იმიტომ რომ = 'მიტომ რო'

"Woessner" is my surname, and learned in Georgian my first name was "Jeikobi" but asked "what would my last name be with no "W" sound?" oddly enough, "V" in the beginning would be more true to the Germanic pronunciation. lmao, plan on going for the first time in Sept or October this year. Will need to visit to hear how the locals say it. Plan on living off my military disability and hear there are plenty of stray dog volunteering opportunities in the area. So can try to extend my year long stay citing volunteer work, while working something I care for, and not worrying about income.

Technically, yes. I also thought about it. But as I grew up listening to fairytales in Wales, the unique style of this genre we'd say. "Hansel and Gretel lived". In fact, "used to live" is a lot better. But as nobody in the tale is intended to be genuinely "alive",and never actually even lived anywhere in real life. Got it!! Imagine you were buying cups in IKEA, that are designed for coffee "coffee cups",cups for coffee .ფინჯანი ყავ-ის(ა)თავის. Changing the order suggest one is counting the type of cup, and the number counts the cups. Rather than a number of cups with coffee poured ( inside them )? ☕😉

Concretely : English language can express in screeves with regular actions with "use" + VERB. I used to / I am used to / I'm getting used to / I'll be used to / I'm going to be getting used to / It's a seldom explored facet of English but, absolute fluency with this Form helps one understand Georgian screeves. That's an easy question to answer. You can employ a Georgian language teacher, who will take you from level A1 to B1. If you need more fluency, B1-B2. And then levels C1 and C2.

That's another good reason for hiring a professional. They will know by talking to you. But if you can't have general conversations yet, then you are in the A range. (Where are You need to demonstrate skills in speaking, reading, writing and hearing). For example, all the grammar and examples on my vidoes are all in the A range.
