I saw this at MCW. Amazing machine!
Can you provide link for the pieces used
Sure! It is also in the video description! www.ebay.com/itm/183679172451
This was really useful when i was reinserting my headlight units. thanks again Chris!
Happy to hear someone found this useful! GT4 lights are notorious about getting out of alignment.
Feeling your pain Chris. You’ll get there with it and I’m sure you’ll connect more with your car as you work it back to life. Will be worth it in the end. ❤
Car week was so much better back in the 1980s befor all the big money showed up.
OMG 😣! I am sorry about the turn of events with your gorgeous Dino. I fell in love with your car when we briefly met in the Town of Pescadero a couple years ago, I thought (and still do) it was the most beautiful 308GT4 I had ever seen 😍. Glad to hear you’re keeping it and not parting with it 🙂. Wishing you the best and as always great MCW content this year. Best of luck, cheers 🍻
Thanks for the video. I considered buying a new ‘73 Dino Spider in early ‘74 from the Portland Ferrari dealership. They had three to choose from, and wanted to move them. They were asking $18,500. I passed and bought a new Datsun 260Z for $5,400 and later in the day I bought a pair of plaid bell bottom pants. I have often rethought both purchase decisions.
Keep your chin up and and good luck with the engine rebuild 💪
Most people never get to see the rainbow. I’m dm’ing you of f-chat.
Ugh sorry to hear about the beautiful Dino! Take some time and work on a plan. My guy in Fremont had a GT4 and he might be an option.
Chris, for inspiration you should watch UA-camr Number 27’s series on his Influenzo, a 308 GTS that he worked on.
Dont give up. Make a plan and save up to get the engine rebuilt. Maybe even hot rod a little during rebuild. Those cars have the sodium valves, prob needed to be changed at some point.
You have some great thoughts !! I think the New Mexico specialist sounds compelling since the can do other cool things to your GT4 !! It will be back before you know it better than ever !!
Thank you Primo! And I think, mentally at least, I've made up my mind and that's where I'm going. Now I just have to "financially" catch up. 😁
So sorry to hear about the Dino. It was a car that I lusted over as a young man too. I hope the repair turns out to be a straight forward repair. That two lane road looks a LOT like highway 156 between San Juan Bautista and Hollister. Nothing but filled-in pot holes the whole way... Good Luck!
Oh Chris, sorry to hear this. 😢 🤞 hoping things fall into place and ur able to get her rebuilt without having to wait too long.
Who's hacked into my phone, 3-5 honey badger is not around
For what its worth - no music does justice to the din of the crowd and some color commentary - even if you're just giving a read of the signage. IMHO.
English definition of patina- rust.
The Monterey car market was a mix. Good cars sold while a number of models (that have been overpriced of late) saw a market adjustment. Usual for the car market and not related to the economy, which remains strong. Overall sales were only down 8%, which is considered a “light” adjustment. While some auctions saw some record numbers on desirable cars.
This is not a Bugatti T57S Atlantic, it's a T57S Atalante. The beautiful Atalante body (which I find prettier and better balanced than the Atlantic) was offered on the T57 normal chassis, and on the T57S (surbaissée) chassis, as this one. And no, it's probably not a $10-11 million car. A T57 Atalante is $1-2 million, possibly a little more, a T57S Atalante would be $6-7 million. Can't really understand the hoopala over the Atlantic (is it because of the exposed body rivets - which the car here does not have, not being an Atlantic) given that the Atalante is better proportioned in my view.

Please reach out to tiafo! Garage (email contact available on our channel page) if you are interested in purchasing Terry’s beautiful 1977 Lancia Scorpio shown about 5 minutes in! 5:00
I heard they were paying people $750 to attend.
I saw this live. Most of the big ticket items didn’t sell. This might be due to the coming economic downturn.
Agree- it seemed like the high dollar cars especially (ie over $1M) had a relatively high percentage of Reserve not Met.
Great video! I, with my gold 1977 Scorpion was honored to be interviewed along with the other informative interviewees. It was fun to see all of the cars at Concorso Italiano 2024. After owning and loving my Scorpion for 45 years, I am looking to find a new home and appreciative owner for my Scorpion. Thanks again for the well done video.
Hi guys, just found your channel while watching Monterey Car Week stuff. I LOOOOOOVE the content, and have been watching a bunch of your videos, but the repetitive music is KILLING me. (the same music that starts at 0:17 in this current video). Ambient noise is 100x better than the same music over and over and over again. Just wanted to write a constructive comment so hopefully I can enjoy many of your videos still to come!
@@DrVenkmanPHD Really appreciate the constructive feedback! We often have to do some background because music is playing that would flag the copyright police. That was not the case on this video but was on quail. We have also got feedback that the video cuts to the music make it more watchable.. will see if we can find additional music to mix it up and perhaps less of it where the setting permits. We had mics at Concorso that we will also use more broadly, as the sound suffered in some of our other content for lack of mics as well. Again thank you for the comment and feedback! If others have views/opinions please feel free to chime in! We want the channel to be the best it can be! -Greg
that porsche 😍
Another excellent video! Thanks! Yes, cool to see a Daytona with seats like UR Dino. I watched a good chunk of the auction on UA-cam, so it’s neat seeing the staging/presale area. I would have loved to have seen the 410 Sport in person; so cool that u were there. 😎
Love your coverage, just saw on the news that the Ford Ghis prototype burnt in a fire.
Yes.. saw that too.. so sad. www.thedrive.com/news/historic-ford-ghia-probe-concept-scorched-in-trailer-fire-after-monterey-appearance

Congrats to the Best is Show winner! Car is forsale for $185k apparently
When I saw that Maserati, I instantly fell in love with it. There was just something special about it and I thought it was the best car there-was very surprised that it won Best of Show" as I usually like the cars that don't win! That's a very fair price for that car too, if I had the money and space it would be a no-brainer. Super great owner too!
at 14:47 you caught my blue Maserati GranCabrio S behind the Sebring 🙂
Loved seeing the green GT4! My 1st Ferrari was a 1975 Chiaro blue GT4
When I was searching from mine, blue was the "ideal" color in my head. When I found mine, it was red, but knew the original color was green. Once I saw that green, I fell in love with that color. So happy and lucky to own it!!
A friend informed me that what is labeled as the 1957 speedster about 4 minutes in appears to be a 1957 A Cabriolet built before March of 1957 which is when the transition to tear drop lights occurred, and it has a correct split over rider bumper bar in back and a “shine up” license light were part of the change to tear drops. It also does not have Rudge wheels (I thought it odd there were no knock-offs on these “Rudges”!) He said it looks like a very nice 1957A Cab, but not a speedster. The only thing I can think of is the speedster was a ‘no-show’ and they maybe swapped it out. If anyone knows the backstory, please consider sharing here! Thanks much! -Greg
4:48 why didn’t u register your 308 gt4 for Wedge show?
These were all prototype wedge cars at the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance, and Chris’s 308 gt4 is a production wedge car.
Hey, thanks for the wonderful footage. Next time perhaps use a longer lens, this one distorts the beautiful shapes of the cars.
Thanks for the tip! We are doing this mostly with our cell so far. I will consider SLR or even one of those new mirrorless digital cameras.. maybe once our subscribers hit 1000!
Thanks for showcasing the cars of these California events. I own a 1975 Lamborghini Urraco, so I share your appreciation for mid-engine 2+2 sports cars. I showed my car at this year's EyesOn Design show in Grosse Pointe Michigan. I was kind of hoping to see one in one of your videos, but it is a rare car.
We will keep an eye out for one!
hey that's my red 1976 scorpion in the background at the 5:00 mark... I wish I was there when you were filming, Terry is a super nice guy!
Next time! Terry is very sweet.
Fantastic show amazing venue friendly staff but come on CI go to 5-6 shutting down at 3 made it so you couldn't even relax!
I would love to take my 430 Scuderia there, but having to drive on that off road trail is best left for my Jeep lol I had heard that the road in was fixed and/or paved. I guess not... Great videos by the way. I think yours are some of the best. Straight to the cars/info/owners and non of the hipster nonsense!
Thanks for the props! Would love if you share to help grow the channel! We really appreciate it & are trying to share the passion!
1 of the best Porsches I’ve seen
I did incorrectly state the introduction year of the 124 Spider- it was 1966. Thank you for taking the time to interview me about our pride and joy. Ciao!
Thanks for the correction Frank! And thanks for sharing!
Really enjoyed the interviews. You can really tell these guys are enthusiasts. Like hearing all the little details. Never would have expected that the silver Maserati would be a twin plug.
Great video 👍
Thanks 👍 glad you liked it!
Excellent interviews. Super interesting! Thanks!🙏. Cool to hear the enthusiasm from the various owners n history.
Thank you for the feedback! So glad you liked it!
The 1937 Delahaye type 145 featured at 3:25 into the video won best in show!
Thanks for making these videos for those of us who don’t live out west or have the opportunity to attend. Great content. Love it!
So glad you enjoy it!
