Discover the Truth: Are Buffalo Really Roaming the Henry Mountains?
I do hope the UK version does not have that socket on it. For in the UK that is a 240 volt Mains. kettle socket. I can see some confused person blowing themselves up. if that's the case. Maybe that's already taken care of for us. Funally enough, we've already had another make try to introduce those types of sockets and plugs. on diesel heaters. and they got banned from the UK. at the time. She's probably never going to be a problem in USA. But here in UK those. plugs are for things up to 3000 watts. when it's 12 volt that's needed. I hung on to the end after nearly falling asleep. My God, if you go any slower, it'll be going backwards. Only to find he skipped over its fuel economy. Just saying, oh, it's great. That means nothing. It's supposed to be a review. Could you not have worked out how many litres per hour it uses? Or the. fraction hopefully of a litre per hour. You didn't mention whether you were using diesel or kerosene. Finishing on a good note, at least. when you connected the exhaust on. you let it go downwards. Unlike so many people who let. the exhaust rise which traps condensation and then leads to all sorts of complications. I do apologise for being so negative, but people forget that UA-cam is worldwide, not just the USA. What's good in one country isn't necessarily good in another? but hopefully it'll be a different version for the UK. Market. I'm gonna start googling for it now.
Yeah. I hope they make the necessary changes for the UK then
JUST FOUND the ZAQISTAN PODCAST & HERE I AM!!!!
It is super wild to stumble across that out there!!
Thank you, I appreciate the video. I personally don’t mind the real time. Edit. Lets you know how long the process actually takes.
You’re welcome. And thank you for the feedback
Gotta love YOUR MOM!
Yessir!!
Can you tell me how to delete the auxiliary battery on a 2018 Jeep Compass
I’m sorry man I am not sure of the bat. I would assume the process would be the same. Meaning that you take the negative and tape it off and then take the positive from the aux to the main. You may need to extend the positive to reach the main because I could be wrong but I believe the aux batt might be under the seat? Or that mash be the cherokees
Great video guys, my only concern is, will it drain the main battery now that the auxiliary is bypassed? We just had our 21 Sahara serviced thanks to this damn issue. 600 bux later( addded expense for alignment)..Thanks in advance!
I have been doing this since the video came out and haven’t had any issues. But I do not run the Auto Stop/Start so it hasn’t been an issue for me. Thanks again.
great review ! I checked though, and it seems these replacement teeth are hard to find ! But still, waiting for the black friday to have a look at it for sure ! For my basic needs, it will fit the bill 100%
Mine also came with enough to do both boards twice. Once with black ones and once with red. And some extras
Thank you for this video, it was very helpful and it solve my problem.
Good. I am glad that I could help!!
Wait - at 14:30 he skips one of the critical parts - how the battery leads go together and how the two are unified! That was one of the biggest questions I had at that point.
Just did it, seems to work, no light on in dash anymore, should I run the negative up from the now gone axillary battery and loop it to the negative terminal on main battery?
I did not. My negative is still in the box and have still had no issues.
I've been driving around all day yesterday the light hadn't come on one time in dealing with that stupid ass light on for 6 months with two new batteries!@@Vikingoff-Road
@tomc9152 it sounds like this helped? Your comment is hard to understand. I hope this helped
Absolutely!!!! Was saying I've put both batteries in it 6 months ago and the light never went out till I did your modification! I hate that ESS crap! I believe what it does is just trick the computer to think that both batteries are hooked up and it's really just monitoring the main battery now@@Vikingoff-Road
@tomc9152 oh good I am glad it helped. That light is really frustrating! Happy it helped
Well I’ve pulled the fuse, disconnected the aux battery negative cable from the main battery, pulled the positive battery cable from the auxiliary battery and connected it to the main battery. I’m still getting the A and start/stop message on my 21 sport unlimited
I don’t know if it matters or not, but I didn’t pull the fuse
Thanks for having us on. It was an absolute pleasure.
Absolutely!! Thank you for allowing to chat with you guys I think it turned out great and even though I know yins I learned a lot about both of you!! Thank you guys again
You never mentioned it, but the views on the west side looking down on all those giant White and Red Navaho sandstone features are of Capitol Reef National Park and the Waterpocket Fold with Boulder Mountain on the far side of those beautiful features...I don't know if you can see any to the west if Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument other than maybe some high points on the horizon, but I know you can see all the way down into Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to the south and south west...along with the southern parts of GS-ENM that borders it.
Honestly I wasn’t entirely I knew what all those were! Thank you so much for commenting and pointing some of these things out I’m gonna have to look a little harder next time I go out there
🤔"A big Party" wasn't my experience at all. As a 1st timer, I thought the event was run very well. The guided runs happened at 9a.m. Plenty of choices with great guides. Usually finished by 1pm. ate Lunch, attended the vendor show. Picked up a few cool items. The music didn't even start until late, 7pm. Nice option to have at night...chillingnto some good music. Or go night wheeling with new found friends . I didn't run into any problem people. Rather nice folks with similar interest. There were a couple of days where after the runs I would just go back to hotel and swim in the pool(very hot this year) So, I saw zero party in those days.
That’s awesome!! I am glad you had a great time for your first time. Yeah as I am realizing. It seems I might planned a little poorly and had some circumstances I couldn’t change with people leaving and having other plans fall through. It is great you had a good time!!
Guess I am unsure why you have mixed feelings about the new format of trail hero. The guided trail rides were from 7a-2p and then the vendor show opens at 3p. So everyday we left sand hollow around 3-4p. I was there for 3 straight days doing trails in the morning and one night run with baja designs. I wouldn't have even known there was concerts there unless I had seen the adverts for the music festival. My house is 10min away from sand hollow in Washington fields. I was able to go on rides with Warn, Terraflex, Synergy, Baja Designs, Pro 4x4, and best offroad. Learned from expert level wheelers and make lots of new friends. Trails we did were Ledges, Splip lock gulch, Warns/Waynes World, and Dead Broke. That was plenty of wheeling for one weekend for us!
Sounds like you did it right. It didn’t help for my sake that I wasn’t able to get down there until Friday morning. And it was definitely my choice to help out most of Friday with the rock crawling competition. It very well could have been my issue with how it was planned. We’re all of those rides with all of those vendor invites from the vendor? I didn’t have that aspect. I do think that if it were planned out better on my end it could have been better. I should’ve come with yall haha
@@Vikingoff-Road Ledges on the day was sponsored by Synergy, so they were on that trail ride with us. splilock gulch was sponsored by baja designs so they had their camera guys out there. I was infront of one of their brand ambassadors Warns world I happened to be on the trail they did their Warn media shoot, so it made the trail about an hour longer, but i was interviewed with my wife. So that will be a fun video when that releases. Dead Broke was sponsored by Best Offroad so their whole team was out there for that run. They fed us lunch on the trail and gave us a shirt. Dave Varga was there on all the rides I did he has done work on my TJ, but I was out there in my gladiator. I have a good friend that worked for Terraflex, so I got to be trail guided by their squad. It was a riot.
@leecaldwell1029 that does sound like it was a good time. And maybe I need to become a little more friendly with some of the vendors and make better plans about getting on the trails. I may need to pay closer attention to social media when I am out there or the schedule to see when a lot of these things happen too. Very happy you had a great time it sounds like it was fun
@@Vikingoff-Road very inclusive crowd at trail hero. lots of extra runs with people who wanted to just wheel. the concert aspect of trail hero was nearly unnoticed by us except on the night run it was going on while we headed out. which was honestly kind of cool
@leecaldwell1029 sounds like I missed out on some good wheeling. I didn’t go with a big group and our plans somewhat fell apart a lil bit with people getting sick and tickets
Question- If u remove the aux battery positive cable from the aux battery and attach the aux Battery positive cable to the main battery positive post. Would this bypass the aux battery and fool the ESS into thinking it is attached to the aux battery? I would think everything would work like the factory and no check engine light or messages. (Other than no aux battery in the loop).
That is what I did. So I fed the aux positive up through and connected to the main battery and taped off the negative and have had zero problems with the light coming back on
@@Vikingoff-Road thanks for confirming! I guess this would be a way to bypass the aux battery so it does not become parasitic when it goes bad. But allow everything to operate as normal. Maybe even fool the dealership if under warranty (in case your wife takes it in before u can reverse it lol)
@@Vikingoff-Road one of the best videos on this as well. Great comments too!
Absolutely!! And thank you! Everyone in the comments have been amazing with information and things I never thought about
Now u got me thinking, the only draw back I can see with this configuration, is if u have a weak main battery and/or active heavy electrical loads when the ESS is active, then a problem could occur (like a no start) since the aux battery is not removing some of the load from the main battery. But I think this would still be better because u can turn the ESS off. And I assume the system will still monitor the main battery for low voltage issues and provide the necessary CEL and/or messages.
Great video! Thank you for sharing and explaining videoing while 4-wheeling. 😁
Thanks for watching!!
Can find the same part to fix this on Amazon for $60 instead of the $180 from Tazer.
Oh this is good information to know!!
Share please
Let's go boys!! Next year Champs!!
Yo they better be!!! We didn’t teach them for nothing eh!!
The 25' gladiator and wrangler come with the 41' color from the EJS concept.
Oh hell yeah. That is gonna be awesome
Did you connect the aux positive to the outter most (closest to the fuse box) part of the main batterys positive?
I believe that is the one that I used on the main battery terminal is the closest to the cabin closest to the fuse box of those three it shouldn’t matter which one you use they’re all connected at that point, but I believe that is the one I used
Thanks for another great video, and for all the support you gave us throughout the year. Looking forward to trail hero in a few weeks and then 2025 season next year
Thank you for the support. It was a blast being able to help you guys and learn from you guys too along the way. Looking forward to those
Who’s that in the chair on the right😮 very sweet and handsome boy 🥰
He is definitely a good young man
thanks Josh, great interview and good summary of a fun weekend and great good first season.
❤
@jimgutzwiller822 it was a great weekend and an awesome year especially since it was your first!! Look forward to many more
Too bad the company is garbage and won’t sell consumer drones anymore.
You aren’t wrong. I am not a fan of their practices for sure. In fact there are other reasons as well that I am looking at getting a couple new DJI drones.
Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome. More to come
One of the best UA-cam channels I have stumbled across
Thanks man!! That means a lot. I am glad you are enjoying it
I’ve read that it disables the remote start feature. Is this true?
I can’t speak for anyone else but my remote start works perfectly
Did you have a Tazer installed when you did this procedure or did you do it without one?
Yes I did have a tazer installed when I did this
@@Vikingoff-Road Thanks for sharing this video and your response 👍
Yeah absolutely. Hope it helped
Sorry if i missed this in the video. What fender chop support bracket did you use? Also, are you happy with the bestop front and back inner liners?
No apologies needed bud, so the fender chop brackets I used were the Artec ones artecindustries.com/products/jl-front-fender-chop-kit-brackets-rubicon?variant=41410990014670¤cy=USD&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADx9_p54cSQzz-K_fq4ZwHJfqVZl6&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkcD-lPqFiAMVIimtBh1uyC0wEAQYAiABEgIRRPD_BwE And as far as the best top fender liners. I am yes. I mean for me I was looking for one already powder coated black. I liked the way the rear ones looked inside. But yes ultimately I am happy with them i have had a lot of offroad driving and they have held up great for the last 10 months. I did hear they quit making them. Not sure if that is true or not
Great video. I definitely need to do this.
Thank you! It is a game changer!!! In looks and clearance
Best Jeep in the game
My man!!
Great drone shots! What drone are you using?
Thank ya. I have a Skydio 2+. It does really good but has some draw backs for sure
is freddys there? (this is a joke comment i know its a fictional place, but the city is very real)
I did this exact procedure and now I get this annoying buzz somewhere around 60-70 mph. The noise increases with speed once it starts. Has anyone experienced this, if so, how?
This is wild I haven’t experienced or know of anyone who has experienced this. I am sorry to hear this
Beards, Ryobi tools, rachating wrenches, removing the aux battery... INSTANT Subscribe and bell notifications! Yall my kinda people!
Hell yeah brotha thanks!!!
Big guy lol
Yeah lil bit haha
Jeeps are awesome but wtf you Jeep engineers thinking. Thank you for the video how-to.
Yeah man it’s crazy what they do or think. I am sure part of it is we need to make so they have to bring it back to the shop for work to be done but part of it is also not knowing. It reminds of working in the metal shop with draftsman that never have. And they detail things out that are impossible to build. Simply because they are uneducated in practical matters
Damn.
Haha it was fun!!!
Did you have to Redrill the holes for the mounting bars and trim them? Tent make and size?
I did not have to redrill the holes for the mounting bars. And I did not have to trim them. I could have but chose to too. That tent is an Overland Vehicle Systems TMBK. Size closed : 57”x49.5”x11” Size open : 56.5”x 94.5”x50.35” Sleeping footprint: 94.5”x55.25” All dimensions from their website.
@Vikingoff-Road , thanks for responding and answering my questions!
@SaltySeabee no worries hope the information helped
I had the same thing happen. I just used a screwdriver and it came right out. Lube the hole first, move it in and out then lube the patch and slide it right in and you're good to go.
Yessir. I also found that the rasp is designed to twist in for easier insertion the first time. But the lube helps for sure!!
Let's go Grizz!
Yessir!!
Hi whatcha up to hope all is well sending up prayers 4 healing and unspoken and 4 everyone and bless great healthy peaceful safe journeys travels and happy day everyday in name of the Creator God/ Yahweh and Yeshua/ Jesus and the Holy Ghost/ Spirit Amen much honor and respect keep walking tall always and keep praying keep watching the sky and keep on keeping on pushing forward one step at a time also where do u get the metal tire plug kit any who cool u found that in time better then than 20 miles dwn the road and ruining the tire 🕊🦅✝️💪🙂👍👍 🚌🌅🌌⛺🌄🏞🏖
Blessings to you as well. I actually found that one on Amazon. I am not a huge fan of that one after using it. I would get one that doesn’t have replaceable tips. Cause they work loose.
if I have a RWD how will I use them if I'm stuck in a sand? I'm going to UT some slot canyons in kanab, I'm thinking the great chambers too
I think the best option for RWD is a little better planning and what I mean by that is use them more than you might need them. If there is a place that you might need them, then use them to be safe. Also you can get a small shovel and bring. I know people who pack a spade specifically for digging under tires to put these boards in
thanks for the information!, I have KO2 btw if that helps but no modifications for my 2018 4runner 2WD. I'm thinking going that route actually, traction board and shovel
@dslrjunkie the KO twos are a really good tire to trouble. You’ll have 2 Wheel Dr. it just be when you get to a point where you need a little articulation as soon as one tire comes off that becomes your drive tire and that’s where you’ll spend so plan just plan a little bit ahead and use them even when you’re not sure and you should be good.
I paid $600 for my 2 and they said I can’t remove it at this time do to warranty
Yeah if you remove it you would definitely need to re install before going to the dealership for service. $600 is a lot but hopefully you won’t have anymore problems
Terrible video.
wait you are fixing it there when you don't even have a fat? since you said I hope its not the entire way through. smh
I did yes. I had a spare and an air compressor and had 30 miles of highway to travel. Didn’t want any other problems. So I fixed it.
Whats the specs on the Mojave lift and wheels?
Not sure anymore. I think at that time he had a 3.5” lift with method headlocks and 39” BFG’s. It is @crawllander build he would be the best one to ask. I know now it is in the middle of a getting a motorbike bed bob kit
My 3.6 in my 2015 Ram has 190K miles. 3.6 in our caravan has 230K. My Mojave has 12K miles. I stick to 5K mile intervals synthetic oil. I've had Toys, Fords, and Isuzus.
I do love my 3.6 this is my second one. My first was a 2013 jk that I traded in for the Gladiator with 175k miles two years ago and now have 67k miles on my 2022 JT
Dam bro just drove down a cliff, which one of the zones is that chocolate thunder?
I don’t believe so. That was on the qualifying lap 2 or 3 years ago. I wanna say that was up back behind the “Bronco” arch
Oh
