    Never dated a Mexican señorita, but they sure are pretty! Have dated proper Cuban and Puerto Rican gals. A boss once talked me into accepting a position in PR. He said, "Big, good-looking white boy, speak good espanish, jou would habe a BERRY active social life in Puerto Rico!" He was right! But IMHO, Filipinas are easy to please, harder to understand (learn some Visaya/Tagalog), and need a bit more patience and cultural leeway, but are every bit worth the effort! ♥️💯%🇵🇭Filipina

    I had a non inverter generator that I used for camping here in Alaska. If you don't want someone camping next to you, Just start that thing up. LOUD. I bought a Honda inverter 2000i and have had it about 20 yrs and it is quiet and still runs great. Honda all the way.

      Hello @oceanproalaska2203 ...yeah, sure, Honda generators are great. But you're not going to get a 3000-watt Honda for $400-more like $2000. And the noise from my generator is music to my ears when I can run my air conditioner during a power outage. 😄We live in the tropics, hot and humid, unlike Alaska. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

      @@G5Philippines Yes I paid 1k 20 years ago. I don't even want to ask how much they are now. I know of a Fish Camp here that has a 4000w Honda that has worked flawlessly for over 10 years. They cost 3.5 to 4k. I think your setup along with a solar generator is the way to go for frequent Brownouts and Typhoons in Philippines.

      Hello @servicesofmontgomery, thanks for your feedback, I suppose... the “insights” that we shared in this very light-hearted conversation was Anwar’s personal experiences and impressions after spending 9 months in the Philippines. Hey there @jimbarrow9638 ... yes, so the packet you receive from the Philippines Embassy or Consulate should have a seal that says something to the effect, 'do not open'. You will carry that with you when you travel to the Philippines, and you will hand that to the agent at the Bureau of Immigration window (the one where they check your passport). They will not know to ask you for it, so be sure you proactively hand that to them along with your passport. They will tell you what to do from there.

    A great subject! A hot topic for me. My thoughts… There is no moral argument to answer for age gap relationships. But some understanding of the implications of such a relationship is important to the one who will inevitably be left behind. Whilst the older person will have a nice family unit and spouse around him for his retirement, the younger person potentially and realistically has a much lonelier retirement ahead of her. The older person therefore has a benefit that the younger person may never themselves have the luxury of. In my mind that’s the only real issue that one should concern themselves with. On this basis the younger person has a heftier price to pay for such a decision, potentially and that price is the loneliness and sadness of losing a partner and the start of her old age. But this is a personal decision between 2 people and thus it’s no one else’s business. As long as both are happy and understand the true costs of age gap relationships. From someone who is also in one, and married, and who has battled in his mind with this very subject.

    • @G5Philippines
      @G5Philippines 13 днів тому

      Hello @Philippines-Anthony-Sandra, you bring up a really important point. The reality of one partner potentially being left behind is something that definitely deserves consideration. It’s not an easy thing to think about, and I appreciate your thoughtfulness in sharing your thoughts as someone who’s also in an age-gap relationship. For me personally, I am well-aware of this very real dynamic. And to make up for the 'potential' lost time in the future, I do my best to make every minute count. I am active with my wife and the kids to make sure we make lots of memories. My wife tells me that I'm not allowed to go before she does, and she just plans on being involved with the kids, the grandkids, and she's sure she won't be lonely. We both have close-knit big families. At the end of the day, like you said, it’s a personal decision between two people. As long as both partners are fully aware and have had those real conversations about the future, then it’s nobody else’s business. Life is full of trade-offs, and if a couple can navigate those together with eyes wide open, that’s what matters. @@G5Philippines Hey G5, I couldn’t agree more. I understand we occasionally come under fire from people who don’t agree with age gap relationships. My first reaction is well, what does it have to do with you and secondly they should realise that family life in the Philippines is much more inclusive than it is here in the West whereby families do not stick together quite as much. So the chances of them being lonely when they are old are much slimmer. Like you said, or words to the effect of: make the most of everyday, keep making memories and to add one last thing, a minute spent on explaining ourselves to the haters is a minute we should learn to not waste so freely, that’s a minute we could have laughed with our family. In short. Just ignore them. They are not worth our time. All the best buddy!

    Lots of contradicting info here on different YT-channels. Some say filipinas are the best wives, others warn filipinas are the worst, they are all gold-diggers and age-gap-relationships are all transactional only. Maybe the truth is in the middle. Question: Would You say that a christian western older man can find a younger genuine christian woman in the ph? Because its difficult to find a genuine christian woman in my western european country these days.

      I know your question was for the host, but yes, you absolutely can. Been married to my 19 years younger than me Filipina for 12 years and wouldn’t change a thing. You’ll have much better luck though staying away from the city girls there and touristy areas. You’re far more likely to meet a genuine one out in the province

      Hey @Kosty19, yeah, there’s definitely a lot of contradicting info out there, I have my theories for why 'others warn that Filipina's are the worst'. But to answer your question: Absolutely, a Christian western older man can find a younger genuine Christian woman in the Philippines. if you’re looking for someone who shares your faith and values, I really recommend checking out Christian Filipina. That’s where I met my wife, and it’s been a game-changer. The site is focused on connecting people who are serious about their faith and finding a meaningful relationship, not just a fling. If you’re ready for something real, it’s definitely worth a look. www.christianfilipina.com/?affid=1566 And @gordonb1737 is spot on-staying away from the city and touristy areas can make a big difference. The province is where you’re more likely to find someone who’s genuine and shares those same values. Hope that helps, and good luck on your journey! And @gordonb1737, thanks for chiming in with your experience-12 years strong! Love hearing stories like that. Stay in touch!

      @@G5Philippines Thanks for Your reply, much appreciated! I know about Christian Filipina and I think its a good site. There are so many serious warnings about marrying a filipina and bringing her to a western country, can't ignore that. Many say social media and smartphones have also ruined and westernized the province girls these days. It's absolutely understandable that a woman from a poor family will do everything to get out of poverty and to support her family, even if it means sacrifying herself to an older foreigner and telling him what he wants to hear. In my opinion it would be necessary to start learning some of the local language first to be able to get an impression what they talk behind Your back, won't You agree? Because the real talk will be in their local language, not english.

    If we are to go by what these so-called moral police have to say, a lot of people in the Bible are immortal because they not only had younger wives but some of them had multiple wives. Even Moses wouldn't be good enough for them, but he was for The Most High. Who cares what they think? Not I.

We will celebrating our 25 years of marriage this year. We have had our ups and downs. Honestly for me I feel people/ trolls try to poke the bear or look for something to say negatively on things. Its too bad for them to think that way.

    Depends on your age, Philippines will not insure you for Health Insurance , when you reach 70 and above, there’s a waiting period, depends on your age. The best is to stay healthy, self insured, go to the Public Health Clinic, usually if your Filipino and dual senior citizen, you will get free medical help. Research and ask questions. Philhealth is a discounted privilege among Filipino seniors, visit the PhilHealth office in your area or on line.

      Hello @marianeil6630, it seems I accidentally missed your last comment. I appreciate your input and the additional perspective on the challenges seniors face with health insurance in the Philippines. The video with Marie was meant to offer general advice to the expat community, and of course, every situation is unique. While I fully understand the limitations, especially as someone in my 50s and overweight, I’ve made personal choices that work for my family, if I recall correctly, I discussed in detail that I’ve chosen to self-insure for healthcare and I have a substantial life insurance policy that will ensure my wife and children are well taken care of when it’s my time to go. It’s always good to hear different viewpoints, as they help everyone make more informed decisions. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Peace and Blessings!

      Hello @roberth7748 ... I'm happy to hear you successfully got your 13A done! Congrats! As for your ACR card, when you come to the Philippines, you'll just go to your local Philippines Bureau of Immigration office and submit for that. The ACR card is not as critical as your VISA, but it's good to have for conducting business, like banking and things like that. Thanks for letting me know! 😀

    i like your style. I would like to see a lot of videos like this. Perhaps if you're too busy, then your neice could do some herself, on your channel. I watched another video from another vlogger recently doing street interview of single Filipina's. THey asked them if they like or dislike being approached, being told they are pretty, and being asked for their number. They did not like it. That was surprising to me. The ladies in your video I get the impression they would like to entertain a foreigner confronting them, if they wanted to talk to them and maybe text. So I'd like to see more. It seems also, it's easier for them to tell the truth if they are alone, that way they don't have to conform to their girlfriends. Thanks !!!

      Hello @guydent9046 ...thank you for your comments! An update on our niece, she is now in a serious relationship with an American guy. But yeah, we did 2 of these and the viewer response was lackluster, so we didn't continue. But yeah, most Filipina's will enjoy being approached, and find it flattering. Their reaction will be mixed of course, some being ultra shy and seemingly not interested, when it really is just that they are shy, or do not speak/understand english, (or unavailable). Others will just open up and smile big and answer your questions, even ask you questions. They are super curious in general, but they are never offended if you say hello and tell them they're pretty.
