I've enjoyed it so far for the most part. I do agree some of the missions in the start were a lot harder and would turn people off right from the get go. On graph 5 now and looking forward to seeing the unlocks when I've completed it in my main save.

Hi. I'm kind of the odd one, I love X Rebirth (with a dozen of mods installed to be honest) and I would be delighted if in Timelines, at least one mission could be played in Albion, Omicron Lyrae, DeVries... My ultimate dream for X4 is that the entirety of the X-Rebirth's Universe would be added to it.

I just stumbled into X4 Foundations; saved game says 2days as a Young Gun and I'm having a hella good time. I've gotten lost exploring and building a tiny fleet, that I haven't even pushed the story missions! there is so much!

I am playing the x games since 1999, beginning with the XBTF. It was my first game on computer at all and i loved it so much. Since then i have played every single game from Egosoft. Now i am really enjoying the X4 ( with all realeased dlcs so far) and would be very happy to extend my experince of the X4 with the X4: Timelines and find back to the roots, get my old experimental shuttle back and remember myself how my journey began.

I'm really looking forward to playing X4: Foundations because it looks like the ultimate space adventure. I've always loved space games, and this one seems to have it all - from exploring a massive universe to building and customizing my own ships and space stations. I've heard great things about the modding community and the updates Egosoft regularly puts out, so I know the game will keep getting better and better. Can't wait to dive in and start my space adventure! Thanks for the chance to enter this giveaway!

cool video but this just isnt worth my time in the current version. Im at level 15 soldier with a legendary sniper and its taking almost an entire magazine to kill one enemy. more power to you if you have the time to sit there doing that for multiple hours but I value my time a bit more EDIT: this is because this is patched out. You do almost no damage to enemies above your level by a large amount anymore

I'm glad I played it before watching your review. And yes, Free play is the best ...I'm strictly a Tourist myself. But to be fair the game is in early access! Now, if you like a little cheese in your gaming diet and you want to take a lot of the "R" out of the RNG with the tablets then simply save your game before you use it then you can at least reload the save and try your luck again with the RNG if it turns out not to be what you want. As for staying out and away all night! You can do it a lot easier than you think. So, that removes some of the pressure at least ...Good thing the game is generous with med kits! A handful will get you through the night even when it's 80 below. Just in case you don't manage to build your FOB in time ...POIs offer a scant few degrees of warmth but it only gets that cold for the shortest time just before the dawn. Personally, I love the game! There are many games that I loved before when they were in early access but that the devs really took in another direction and screwed it all up for me. And others that just became abandonware! This one shows promise! Now, excuse me while I drive my ATV off Olympia Mons!

As for weapons, Sniper rifle is the go to. Railguns can work, the pistol that fires the purplish orb is also doable as it has a long range and a radius that can hit multiples.

How are you getting the sniper rifle to zoom in? I can't get mine to do that.

Great video. Huge fan of the X series, but I must admit this mission did make me grit my teeth a little. Particularly as it comes right on the back of the first part, which is finding your way safely to the missing gate in the first place. In the end though, I did end up using an even easier method, involving the autopilot. Placing the first beacon a little way from the gate and making sure the correct mission was selected, I turned on the autopilot and let it go. It kicks up into travel mode and every time it slowed down to change direction, I stopped and dropped a beacon. It can’t be coincidence, but each one of these stops was just the right distance between beacons and sure enough, bar one wobble, it took me right to the opposite gate. There was a bit just over half way, when I needed to recollect a beacon and reposition slightly. But otherwise it was so easy, even I could do it! :)

No faction it with owner? Yeah, I just confirmed that you take faction his if you do solo raids against other factions. The only place you can avoid it is through mercenary missions where the guy tells you the settlements are not registered.
