@@samuelma4821 Definitly too much yes. I think the half life of PGB is like 6.5 hours. I would have to double check to be sure. I take my first dose when I wake up and the 2nd dose 6 to 7 hours later MAX. For GAD its often prescribe 3x a day. I will ask my doc and Try it. But It is already a life saver twice a day. 12 hours between each doses is too long for me for sure.

I was just prescribed this for some depressive symptoms and overall lack of motivation to do basic things. I’m listed as having mood disorder, but not bipolar. On my chart I’m listed as having “mood disorder”. I called my dr about to and she said she doesn’t suspect bipolar. But it’s a scale. Or it’s related to my overall wellbeing. I forget exactly. Also GAD, and PTSD. I’ve been working with my Dr and willing to try different things. I’m also on Gabapentin. On day 5 I believe. Noticed maybe a bit more energy and more wanting to get outside and walk my dog, for example. And shower. Which I sometimes have a hard time bringing myself to do for some reason. Also have woken up less during the night. I have terrible disrupted sleep. Like I’d sleep 3 hours. Then wake up nonstop every hour on the hour to a nightmare. Sometimes every half hour. Anyway I’m willing to try, so we’ll see 🤞🏼

I didn’t know this was a channel. I have panic attacks so debilitating and so often that it prevents me from doing such basic stuff, I’ve lost numerous jobs because uninformed people assume I’m a medical risk so just let me go. I’m currently taking care of my dad who has dementia, weee living in a hotel that we can’t afford, barely eating and most of the reason is my inaction and fear of everything and just sort of staying paralyzed until it’s all fallen apart like it has. I don’t know what I’m going to do, I’m on sublocade from decades old opiate problem that’s been controlled for years, because of this I can’t legitantly get real anxiety meds (I’ve used every off label there is, hence why I’m on this video). I’m 38 and have nothing to show and it’s over and issue everyone and their mother says they casually have. I think we need distinctions in severity somehow. Idk I’m just rambling I’m scared and alone and don’t know what to do. Sorry for venting, I can’t do it anywhere else.

It works like magic for me personally. Extreme social anxiety, PTSD, GAD. I tried everything from beta blockers, SSRI, CBT, EMDR, nothing worked except pregabalin (300mg twice daily). BUT, and it is a big but, as others here have pointed out, its withdrawal symptoms are far worse than codeine withdrawal, so if you take it, be prepared to either take it for life, or taper very very slowly. If I had my time again, I would still take it, as it has been life changing for me, but it doesn't work at all for many. CAUTION

I like how you so casually mention they cause akathisia. No one in their right mind risks chronic akathisia. It’s brain damage. It’s living torture. The suicidal ideation is FROM the akathisia. It’s not withdrawal either. It’s brain injury being unmasked and your brain trying to rewire with what is left. They damage your neuroplasticity, the only thing you have to try and heal from the damage. So many drugs cause akathisia. I had no idea that I was making my akathisia chronic trying to “treat” it. If you get EPS symptoms, taper the med and run away. Don’t stay on them with Cogentin or anything else. EPS and akathisia and all of it is neurotoxic brain damage. All psychotropic medications are neurotoxins by the very definition of how they work. “Side effects” is a way of making brain damage sound okay. Find Dr. Josef Witt-Doerring Psychiatry and hear about his work tapering patients injured by medications. Read Robert Whitaker’s Anatomy of an Epidemic. Find Mark Horowitz and hear about his antidepressant injury and his work developing Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines. Dopamine antagonists are extra toxic. They should be highly restricted. You definitely do not give someone with nausea one w/o them understanding what they are risking. One pill, one shot is enough to ruin someone’s life.

Absolutely phenomenal for anxiety, but should not be used more than once a week at moderate doses, in my honest opinion. If you have an addictive personality, you might want to steer clear of this one. The withdrawals are equivalent to spending about seven days in the deepest pits of hell. Glutamate storms, panic attacks black depression and insomnia. If abused this substance takes back everything that it gave to you benefit wise with interest. This is not an attempt to fearmonger just to educate. Harm reduction is key. Enjoy and be safe.

It is a general serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It is also an agonist & antagonist on the serotonin receptors. So therefore it works pretty quickly. Besides some nausea, i found the side effect profile is good & i think this newer type serotonin modulator works great! Def worth a shot to try if you have the symptoms.

I use guanfacine for doctor visits because doctors trigger fight or flight response for me. It works very well. It’s almost incredible how half a pill effectively shuts down my extreme doctor anxiety. I only use it for specific situations because I have found it affects me sexually and also, more importantly, it causes me to have trouble sleeping the night. I feel like it’s a great solution for my particular issue, since I will get the benefit when I need it and not regularly experience the drawback of sleep and sexual issues.
