Indigo with Benjamin Orr of The Cars on lead vocals. Cap'n Swing was a Boston nightclub band in the mid-seventies; that with the addition of David Robinson and a few other changes became The Cars in 1976. "Indigo" was re-worked and released as "Wake Me Up" in 1999, on the bonus disc included with that years' re-issue of The Cars self-titled debut album as The Cars Deluxe Edition.

Талант Талантище!!! Легенда!!! Великолепный музыкант!!!! 👌🙏😪🌹🌹
Sometimes demos are even better than the actual release lol. I wonder sometimes why they didn't incorporate some of the Cap'n Swing songs into their Cars library. This is awesome thank you!
What's up with that intro?

Whenever Ben's really burning up the stage, Ric has to sidle over to soak up some of the attention.
Aww poor Ric. Ric was as in awe of Benjamin as the rest of us. He loved and wanted to be close to him.
Deixo a cargo da minha realidade paralela o fato de que poderiam ter regravado essa música na voz do Elliot Easton e terem dado espaço para ele na banda para gravar músicas na voz dele também.I leave it up to my parallel reality the fact that they could have re-recorded this song in Elliot Easton's voice and made room for him in the band to record songs in his voice as well.
The pix are awesome. 😎

Stop crying fool
Very reminiscent of catching these guys out on the Cape back in the early/mid 70s ... and exemplifies how far Ocasek's writing and Hawks electronics matured just a few years later.
Ric didn't write Ben's bass melody and definitely not Elliott licks!!!
No doubt ~ although truly think he managed the process of every player very carefully. He was the conductor!
Yeah, he probably did write the bass line and had a framework for the guitars. The Cars were Ric's band and he treated it as such.@@GooglSucksDisk
Damn! I wish Elliot and Ben sang more and old man Ric took a big back seat.
Beatiful voice

Benjamin muito gato😿❤
No matter how shitty the video, I always love watching these guys live...
O mais bonito e gato da banda❤❤💋💋
Another gem from their catalogue. Was this a B-side? Elliot Easton kicks ass as usual. What a team they were...
Isn't this pre-Cars - Cap'n Swing? Regardless, The Cars totally should have recorded this song. This and Lover and a Holiday.....swoon!!!
The epitome of a hidden gem. Given the poor performances of releases from that album, IMHO, Should’ve been the second release off of panorama. Had a darn good chance to be a hit.
Ben has such presence. Such a great performer, and so handsome too. A great loss.
Loveeeeee loveeeeee loveeeeee this and this song!!!!!
reminds me of Drive
heard this 1st time today. Love it
Benjamin so gorgeous and hot hot hot!!!!! Benjamin so electrifying!!!!! Loveeeeee loveeeeee loveeeeee this song and video!!!!!!
Thirst trap before the phase was coined 😉 So gorgeous!
Everything about him @ 1:36 is absolutely perfect. His face, eyes, lips & eyebrows not to mention the perfect head movement to that beat🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
1:36 I watched this part over & over 😂 There will never be another Benjamin
Totally agree! There Will never be another Benjamin. He was unique. I never get tired of listening to it over and over again. I can never forget it. I Will always remember it.
Benjamin Orr, the most beautiful man, and so talented, and a member of a great band - this performance is so tight. From Patricia H. not William H.
