That’s an interesting point of view. I think most people who like their watches would probably say that they enjoy them for their own reasons. Some people do buy a Rolex as an investment, others buy them to show off because they think (incorrectly) that it makes them look cool. Fortunately, there are lots of people out there who buy one because it makes them happy in the same way that cars or playing football or going to the gym makes others happy. Each to their own, I say

@@oakleighwatches7444 I bought one brand new from AD in 2017 with the hidden clasp. 2 things… first, looks much better with the hidden clasp and second, its value went up by 2,5 times. As it was discontinued and never ever will be made again 🕺

@@infinitychina3944 I agree on the clasp thing for people who like their watch to have more of a bracelet type feel. The value has nothing to do with the looks - I just think the blue dial, fluted gold bezel and Jubilee makes a superb combination.

No, it absolutely hadn't. We have a Rolex certified watchmaker on the premises and have owned thousands of Rolex watches - this had never been close to a polishing machine.

@@overlord999 I appreciate that Jay - but with no way outside of Rolex or Rolex certified watchmakers to check wether a serial number is legitimate - (there is no accessible database) I wonder how much difference that actually makes. People stress unnecessarily over what is a bit of a red herring
