Peeking inside an Interceptor's cockpit
In this video we try to take a look inside a dead interceptor's (Orthrus) cockpit. It is possible to notice some artifacts and textures indicating that there are detailed assets behind the "glass".

In this video we'll go through a few weird features i've found in the 3rd ring of the body 12 in the system NGC 457 Sector JS-K d8-7. Not only the strange flickering light all around the ring but vertically aligned asteroids and corridors with absolutely no asteroids.

Geyser lifting ship #EliteDangerous

In this video i demonstrate how a water geyser has enough pushing force to rise a Krait MK2 ship. Notice that the geyser has an optimal pushing height and won't lift the ship after a certain level. Flight assist is ON (with flight assist off the ship will drop to the ground), the gravity is 0.6G, 0.08 atmospheres, 58K temp and total ship mass is around 610T. Artemis temperature sensor's sensitivity test #EliteDangerous

This one isn't a proper interceptor, doesn't even have the symbol on the outside as all the others do
Yes, the lack of logogram was one of the first things i noticed! Still worths documenting though

I think the ships are living entities in their own right
That is a possibility. Or maybe they have a very symbiotic connection to their pilots. My intention in this video is to see what kind of devices could be behind the glass, perhaps even an alien body!
Nah, there's lore on them. They have insect like pilots but so far it's in concept. We're just going to have to see what the devs have planned for these guys. I remember when all they did was interdict you and scan your ship in very creepy fashion. now we have whole altercations with them and they have giant titan ships.
@ that’s old lore isn’t it, from the previous games? Because it’s not mentioned anywhere in the wiki for the thargoids. I’d assume that they’re so good at bioengineering they can make the vessels automatic or turn themselves into any biological form they wish

Yes, the reflection of the light on the glassy cockpit prevented from seeing the interior of the cockpit so i turned it off at the beginning
I used to do this as well, and I once saw something resembling a Thargoid probe inside the cockpit. There's a high probability that the Thargoid vessels are remotely controlled, which might mean we’ve never actually encountered a real alien Thargoid pilot in their ships.
This theory is supported by the lack of direct evidence of physical Thargoid pilots being seen in the game.
The ships ARE the Thargoids
@@DT-ls9bethey are not. Thargoids are an insect species, like bees in fact, and the ships are being literally grown by them like flowers.
Thargoid tech is bio-mechanical. Could the ships themselves be alive and thinking?
@@dylanbeavon2683 Very possible. Could be some type of functioning lifeform inside that is grown into the ship, or remotely piloted. The fact we have silhouettes and other things in the game suggests the Thargoids themselves have a "ground" type form with legs and such.
I love the Interceptors so much! I always find it so difficult to get a sense of scale with them, but they're HUGE!

I don't think the ship model changed from Horizons to Odyssey, so you'd probably experience the same level of details!

The anaconda also has a damage model. If the cargo hold is damaged it has holes in it and you can see into the cargo hold.

Strong magnetic field might create patterns in the asteroid fields especially if they contain metalic minerals.
Interesting fact about rings! In this case i think the ring generation algorithm was not tunned to such huge distances so when the field got stretched too thin the patterns of how they're created started to show up.

Yes! But i was scouting for points of interest to The Ringed Quest for the Legend expedition, so it was CMDR's Richard Fluiraniz find in a dataset.

Unfortunately, due to the distance of the star, it's not possible to deploy surface probes to scan for hotspots. I would love to do it and i tried! I did scratch some asteroids though and they had minerals like expected!

Funny how the Thargoid Missile and Guardian missile look the same.
I don't have a close-record of thargoid missiles but the reason behind this capture is the claim that sentinel missiles are very similar to meta alloy fragments, which leads to speculation about both species sharing technology

My wave scanner operates like that all the time, not just with Thargoids.

Can confirm this one. I've been farming Jolly Ranchers here for the past week.
CMDR LilacLight, from Canonn, told me she saw other ocurrences like that in different ruins she surveyed, even cases of towers without relics! Its cause is unknown but it's believed to be a bug.

shame on frontier for making players solve puzzles with 3rd party apps like audio spectrography software and such to find hidden messages, this caused an a abuse of the lore based players who experiment and search in vain for secrets always finding nothing for years. if there was any secrets then data miners would of found them in the game files, but there is nothing to be found and are you surprised, no new content to be found.
I don't know if data miners would have access to server-sided scripts, that is how certain things would work in the galaxy itself, how the galaxy would respond to certain client actions. There's a lot of thought put in the guardian structures, ruins and their locations. A thought we were unable to crack so far.. Perhaps another 3rd party tool would be necessary, we couldn't tell.. But we should not forget the main objective that is having fun, which I have plenty of while investigating this mystery!
Very interesting, thank you! A bit saddening at the same time, as you can see how much work the interior design would be, making it very unlikely to happen - with that abysmal player count, no less. It's been 10 good years. Maybe after another 20 park management games we'll see some Elite again, who knows..
One thing is for sure, we'd love to see functional interiors in Elite Dangerous feature portfolio

cant reactivate guardians as a new enemy without having military buildup as part of aegis or empire vs federal rivalry coz the humans are supposedly devestated from the war against thargoids
is it a bug or is it content which is a secret to be unlocked with clues and 3rd party tools, maybe for people to analyse the sounds in an audio meter app and get an image and then clues to coordinates or a riddle or something from assembling the first letters of the notes and comparing them to greek morse code . this is what frontier is like

The way all the ship models are cartoonishly out of proportion and scale in places, I don't think they can be made walkable, they would have redo the whole model.
indeed but it also seems to be textured for internal viewing in some places, ...maybe frontier toyed with the idea of ship interiors but didnt put all their work into the game files
@@gimme88 They only really model and texture interior areas that would be in view from outside the vessel. Hardpoint bays, Cargo Hatch, SLF Bays, and some hallways on larger ships. The corridors on the Anaconda are flat textures with cartoony looking scifi walls. They look great from a distance, but up close the illusion sorta falls apart.
I believe we could work with a few changes in the ship layouts if that would bring new features and gameplay
I remember when this released and sc didn't, and everyone was roasting the hell out of SC and CIG for not releasing. And everyone was all hyped to walk around in the ships. And now elite is all but dead and SC has barely even started, and has delivered almost everything frontier promised us, and more, with the notable exception of the size of the playable universe and "exploration".
Thankfully we can have fun in both games and who knows, maybe interiors are closer than we imagine. Meanwhile there's a lot more to play with! o7
Literally all people wanted was modeled interiors but FrontierDevelopments went and made Odyssey instead.
Hopefully interiors are in their delivery schedule for the Odyssey engine

Sounds like a good combination but I suspect beacons wouldn't have item reception features 🤔
They take an acient key . Which is a modified version of the relic and so is the ucr.
Exploring via magi-cam (tm) is fun ! Have you seen the Anaconda internals yet? If you have access to VR headset, with enough room and using offsets you can experience limited walk round in the ships too 😃 Much fun to dream of ship interiors ! o7
This is a great idea, i'll see if i can get one of my Conda's interiors. Did you notice how the SRV bay appears to be rotated in the wrong direction? The backdoor is positioned towards the landing gear instead of the ship's rear door. Such findings are very interesting in deed!

You can dream about getting interior and EVA gameplay in Elite or you can just come to Star Citizen and get both right away. Before you say anything about optimisation - both ED Odyssey and Star Citizen run at the same FPS on lowest settings. If anything - ED eats more of the GPU. As a person with a few thouthand hours in Elite i can say that StarCitizen even with all of its bugs and glitches is still far more indepth, dynamic and enjoyable to play.

I have been playing Star Citizen and Elite for over 6 years ... I enjoy both, for different reasons 😎 Glad that you enjoy SC, I do too 💫 Having both is great for me, along side NMS, Outer Worlds, Space Engineers, Empyrion, X4 and more. Each game has unique and enjoyable aspects, thankfully there are so many available for those of us who wish to play ! o7

Yes, in this specific configuration set, with those items. If you consider the variables involved (structure types for example), there could be so many more combinations to test. The platform remains receptive after delivering a key and the data orb is still missing a piece 😁

Weird, I’ve never seen a guardian site in daylight.
They look super cool right? Some are in tidally locked nights but others will see the light of day from time to time. Usually they're near brown stars so everything feels kind of reddish, this site not only sees the day but from the clarity of a M type star and all surrounded by ice, which is also rare.
just an FYI: it is hard to imagine the size of this (or most structural ruin) without any reference for scale
i understand but my purpose in this series of videos is just to document and display the structures as purely as possible so i try to keep everything as untouched and as without external agents as possible.
