    I didn't have any knowledge of IT and when I started to study for the cloud partitioner certificate I felt nervous, I had a lot of services and I didn't know if I needed to memorize all of these services or not. what the projects look like what I will do on the cloud what is my responsibility and work

    • @natalya_nam
      @natalya_nam 15 днів тому

      To pass the exam you need to memorise these services. You might not be using some of them at all but some key ones will be in use every single day. Projects can be different depending on many factors. Most of the time cloud engineers provision, configure, optimise, and look after infrastructure.

    Mastering multiple disciplines in Cloud is not a bad thing. It gives you insight into what Google, Microsoft and Amazon is offering as a service. You can have a more informed opinion of the different technologies and services provided by your competitors. Learning multiple cloud technologies as you said, can be challenging and everyone is not able to (or willing to) learn multiple cloud technologies. You quoted by saying, you will be known as, “Jack of all trades, master of none” In your opinion, stick to one cloud technology. I been in the tech field longer than you and I can say I seen individuals make a good living just learning one trade. I called them, “a one trick pony.” I have seen individuals who are verse in IT, Programming, PMP, Routing/Switching and these individuals make substantially more income. In closing, the quote you made to argue your point was not complete and misleading. I don’t believe initially. The complete quote goes a follow, “Jack of all trades, master of none, but often better than a master of one.” 😀

    • @natalya_nam
      @natalya_nam 25 днів тому

      Haha...I expected this kind of comment. You pointed to the second part of “Jack of all trades, master of none, but often better than a master of one.” There are always different opinions on this topic and I was aware of the second part. Therefore a couple of times in the video I explicitly said "You always can go multi-cloud but if you just started it's better to stick to one cloud" Everything that I share on this channel is based on my experience, not my colleagues or friends or anyone else. Also, I worked in government, tech consulting and now in the product, and I can tell from my observation that the Best Cloud People are experts in one cloud. Yes, they can know other clouds enough to understand high-level objectives but nitty gritty details come with expertise and time. I tried to get into Azure and AWS at the same time. It was so confusing and I just wasted my time. I'm sure there are cloud unicorns who know everything. Unfortunately, I haven't met this type yet. Thanks for your feedback! 😄

    • @natalya_nam
      @natalya_nam 28 днів тому

      Hello again :) If companies intend to hire a cloud engineer or anyone they need to work with a cloud, they typically give a lot of information on what cloud provider and tools they use. It's quite an important piece of information for a potential applicant. Some companies can hire interns, so check technology consulting firms in your area.

      It depends on what direction you decide to choose. For example, if you're keen to join tech consulting, go with Solutions Architect Associate. It gives you a solid understanding of the cloud itself and cloud engineering principles and patterns. If you decide to go the developer route and let's say you want to join a product company, then go with Developer Associate. Cloud Practitioner, machine learning and python is a good start! Hello Ms. Natalya First thank you for your video. I am a marketing representative in industrial sector and I would like to change my domain into IT. I made some research and I found some roadmaps. I decide to start my journey in data engineering. The question is : I starts learning SQL and in same time I start AWS cloud Practitioner in AWS Skill Builder. I want to know should I continue with AWS roadmap until I get a high level after that I start learning other tech? (for e.g. CS50 to get fundamentals of IT, database, cluster computing...) Or I just AWS roadmap includes all the tech that I need? I am really confused, because every time I want to start my learning I think too much what is the correct way specially in AWS CP is fundamental level and jut theory and it took to much time. Ps: Also I have that problem with choosing between AWS and Azure because I want to get a job in future in France or Belgium. When I made some research I found that Azure is more presented in Europe in general and I am really confused specially that I already start AWS. Thank you for your time

    • @natalya_nam
      @natalya_nam 2 місяці тому

      Hello Hatim. That's a lot of questions and I'll try to answer to the best of my knowledge. Let's start from the most fundamental question I think - what to choose AWS or Azure. I always think you need to know where you're aiming to work, in the Public (government) or Private sector. Public from what I noticed has a tendency to work with Azure more, just because they are trying to leverage what they already have, in most cases Microsoft ecosystem. When you're confident about where to put your efforts and time, start from top to down, and what it means you need to know what Cloud in general is and what it can do for you. CP gives a broad understanding of what services AWS can provide. It doesn't go deep but just enough to understand what it is all about. You're not wrong about SQL, it's a fundamental language in data engineering. I would say go with SQL and CP and after that, you'll get to know the landscape and be able to choose the right path.

    I'm going to graduate from college in a year. What should I do after passing the certification exam for the cloud practitioner? Should I pursue a career as a solution architect, SysOps administrator, or developer associate? Your videos are very helpful❤❤❤❤

    • @natalya_nam
      @natalya_nam 2 місяці тому

      Thank you! From my experience, stay on cloud engineering path for some time, get more skills like linux, infrastructure as code, system design, build solutions on the side, you need to understand how everything works in cloud and just in general the whole ecosystem. Start slowly preparing for solutions architect certification or more focused one like associate developer. Don’t forget about SDLC (software development life cycle), and some other skills which will complement your tech skills. Wishing you all the best!

      Hey Jeff, it's a very good question, thanks. I believe in human potential and I think you will get out of it what you put into it. I completely isolated myself for one year while I was doing my Master. Was it difficult? Extremely difficult, especially with a little baby! However, I was sooo determined and by nature I'm very ambitious and competitive (always competing with myself - how far I can go given my circumstances, age (43 for now) and all this stuff). You need to remember you're going to be in line with peeps in their 20s, and their energy, all time in the world, no kids, no families, no mortgages and they're hungry! 😂 But we have one advantage - it's wisdom, which is unfortunately comes with age or in some cases doesn't come at all! Curiosity should become your driving force, passion comes later! Good luck with all your decisions.

    Hi, I was confused a bit about how to go about this. After watching your video, it's bit more clear on how to approach the CCP exam. Thanks 🫡. I need your insights on the following. 1. I'm a mobile developer for 7 years. I have been wanting to explore the cloud/Devops for a long time. Only thing I'm concerned is switching the career after 7 years. But last month I have started learning Linux it's going really great for me. I enjoy this learning. Any suggestions on how to approach this? 2. In the context of cloud practitioner exam, I'm planning to spend around 10 hours per week. So how much time it might take to complete the preparation?

    • @natalya_nam
      @natalya_nam 2 місяці тому

      Hey there, I'm glad it helped to get more clear picture! Answering your questions: 1. It's not about switching your career and you don't move out from Tech. You're just up skilling yourself and complementing your 7 years of experience as a mobile developer. It's a very good start and you're going to nail it, man! Continue with Linux, start looking at architecture and system design. After Practitioner, start prepping for Solutions Architect. 2. 10 hours per week, it's a good time blocking. If Cloud Computing is a completely new concept for you, I would say 1 month (you need to have hands-on practice not only theoretical part). Spend time answering questions, very helpful. Good luck with your exam!

    Mam, Do AI will impact on this field ?

    • @natalya_nam

      It's a good question! Yes, I think it's already impacting the whole industry and it didn't started just in 2022 with chatGPT being available publicly. Research and implementation started more then 10 years ago. Try all these AI coding tools, and tell me that it's not impressive. It's definitely not going anywhere.

      Hi there, I hope you're well too. Answering your questions: 1. Certifications won't help you to get a job, you need to know what you're doing and doing it well. Companies hire remote workers if they are really really good. I would say look at certifications as you're hitting milestones in your career. Cloud practitioner is a fundamental one and gives you a broad understanding what you can do with cloud services. 2. If you consider 1-1.5 years to get tech skills, think about what you like and what you think will stay with us for another 10 years. I would say generative AI is going to stay for sure. Cloud computing is a very interesting segment of tech domain but I might say that because I'm in this industry. Hope it helps. Good luck with your career.

    Hey Natalya , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with Best Quality Editing in your videos better than your Editor with good pricing and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your videos to reach to a wider audience ? Pls let me know what do you think ?

    Video Editing is too low 👎👎👎👎 Edit the video in a good style. Add nice b-roll animation when you are speaking or explaining something. This will increase visualization. Put proper subtitles, effects, transitions, and colors in the video. Insert the B-Roll (footage and animation) very well because it is absolutely low in your video. Do all this and then see how the video doesn't turn out good. 🍯🍯

      If someone says that video editing should be enhanced then I also vote "yes" 🧈

      In my opinion, more attention should be paid to subtitles, transitions, effects and B-Roll. I mean do subtitles, transitions, effects and B-Roll properly. 🪵
