Brilliant but not a young man amongst them for the future
This recording is a few years old, we have just had 8 new choristers in 2024 one of them is 18 years old. Please see our facebook page for a picture.
I’m an American but welsh men’s choirs can bring me to tears I especially love the Welsh National Anthem the first time I heard it was at the start of a football game that utube showed a clip to listen to the Welsh fans sing with such pride n in Welsh over hear before a game they’ll have someone sing The Star Spangled Banner who really shouldn’t sing it n I’d say most of the people don’t know the words or put their hand on their heart when I watched the combined men’s choirs sing the Welsh Amthem at the Royal Albert Hall was stunning I cried with pride for them 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙋🏼♀️Pamela NC USA 🇺🇸
Beautiful, if only some young men would join too and keep this going.
Odd to see Baron Scarpia singing Welsh hymns. Nice one, Bryn

Ardderchog, diolch yn fawr....
This bring's a lump to my throat & a tear to my eye, i was born in Gorseinon many year's ago although i have been away from this beautiful place for some time now, it still is Home sweet Home, Wales for ever in this old welsh girl's heart xxx
A Welshman here! A wonderful bass a lovely choir and an empty chapel...how my heart breaks! Lord have mercy.
He’s the world’s greatest bass baritone and he loves his Welsh heritage and boy,can he sing.
Why no young men? It will be a great pity if the Welsh tradition of choir singing dwindles away.
It makes me sad to see no young men in the choir….
It has also troubled the Choir, but since the end of Covid restrictions we are pleased to say that we have taken on a number of younger choristers in all our sections. But will still work to welcome even more.

I absolutely hated singing all these welsh songs in school, felt like I was forced too. Now a decade later, its very comforting to hear it, i wish i wasn't so stubborn when i was younger.
Your parents clearly wanted you to be influenced by Welsh language and Welsh song, you clearly have had very good parents indeed...I was stubborn too but I am so grateful now for my parents' gentle guidance......
Melts your soul, I wished I noticed of Welsh in school ❤
. Don't punish yourself , you were a child , it's only natural to push against authority. I'm English and love to soak myself in Welsh music. There is absolutely nothing like a Welsh male voice choir. Even the Red Army don't come close
As an Englishman, I'm truly happy that you eventually found the beauty within these magnificent songs of praise and I speak as a Low Church Protestant.
I should have added too that my Grandmother used to play the piano and organ in the Methodist Church in Warwick. Cymru Am Bath 🏴
Che splendore ! Quanta gioia esprime questo canto grazie al suo interprete ! Grazie
Sublime! (in an equally sublime Chapel...)
Magnificent 👏👍☘
Hiraeth 😂
Not but grey haired old men. Sad that this choral tradition seems likely to die with them. What’s the matter with kids today?
I worked at Port Talbot steelworks about 1983. I enjoyed the company of the Welsh folk.
I had the great privilege of meeting Sir Bryn last year. A very kind gentleman, wonderful voice and a splendid choir. Thank you.🎼
Wonderful arrangement and vocalists.
Dont understand Welsh but love to hear the lovely men singing And the to add Bryn
cymru am byth
god iam proud that iam Walsh
There's a voice on that Bryn Terfyl. If he plays his cards right he could go far.
Haha very funny! Merry Christmas.
@@mfjdv2020 a very Merry Christmas to you, too!
Beautifully sung by Bryn and the choir, D my see enough of Bryn here in the UK.
Thank you for your kind comments. The Dunvant male choir were lucky enough to have Sir Bryn at our annual patrons concert this year. Such a special event as we were celebrating our 125th anniversary albeit 2 years late.
Love that Bryn looks up approvingly at the choir acknowledging their talent.
DMC DMC 0 seconds ago The choir is so lucky to have a friend in Sir Bryn Terfel.
He has the reputation of being a generous artist, not conceited at all.
Only Boys Aloud sang this version four years ago at Rock UK Trelewis. ua-cam.com/video/fN3YIZm1BrQ/v-deo.html
Lovely
My favourite hymn
Beautiful singing, but I wish there were some younger faces in that choir. Will it still exist in 10 years?
I am welsh-american and very proud
Amen
I don’t know when I hear Welsh music or anything to do with Wales I get very emotional and excited I’ve been to Wales twice before in the past and be one place where I like to live but I live in my homeland Australia and I’m truly blessed by the way my surname is Evans
Obviously you are of Welsh origin! Be proud!
Wow! That soloist!!!
That is Sir Bryn Terfel. He is a famous Welsh singer. Surely you must know who he is?
Love it
Mr Terfel has such a gift!
He is now 'Sir Bryn' 🙂
This version brings tears to my eyes
Diolch Yn fawr I bob un I chi. "JONES BACH" A BLOOD RED DRAGON ON A FIELD OF GREEN RHAMEN A NIGHT IN WHITE SATIN THE RED HAND GANG jc " A THOUSAND POINTS OF CANDLE LIGHT"
Nothing like a Welsh male voice choir to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
Nice organ pipes!!!
