I recently learned that the main reason Damien killed his aunt: SHE is the Whore of Babylon! Remember earlier in the film, Charles shows them Biblical statues & one of them is called The Whore of Babylon? It mentioned the heads, which represent kingdoms & followers of Satan.....but they have no kingdoms yet & are granted temporary power by the Devil. Charles says "[The Whore] won't be ridden for long. The others shall hate the Whore & make her desolate & naked. They shall eat her flesh & burn her with fire." Ann is forced to destroy her husband, which she seems a little hesitant to do...making her desolate....she is revealed & left alone to die....thus making her naked. Ann shudders & looks upset....saying 'Its not very nice." She knew of course who she was, but its clear she did not actually expect to be burned with fire! Surprise! lol A side note, two of the 'riders' of the Whore are Paul Buher & Sergeant Daniel Neff. Paul is the name of a holy Apostle; the fact that an evil servant is chosen with that name for that here, is likely to mock Christianity. Daniel is the part of the Bible that describes the coming of the Antichrist.

What puzzles me a bit is that although Ann reveals herself as a follower of Damien at the end (and always jumps to his defence during the film when anyone even suggests he is the Antichrist - like she is his protector), but at the same time you can see she is shocked and upset when Mark dies, and although she didn't like Aunt Marion, she had a sorry face when she found Marion dead. She also expressed sympathy to Charles when his friend Joan died, and was shocked when Dr Kane died in that freak accident in the elevator. Thoughts?
I think that might've been something that got added in when they changed directors mid way through. Really feels like it came out of nowhere to me. She felt protective of him because she took on a mother role not because she was another follower.
@@HaliaStonethat makes no sense. She clearly states she always belonged to him so she always had to be a follower. I personally think all those feelings she showed earlier towards others was just a put on. Just so no one would suspect anything of her.

This might be sacrilege but this sequel I find better and more interesting than the first mivie. Some of the music from the original is better in my opinion though.
Holy shit that ending is so good. What a polite boy does not put hat back in till outside.😆😆. I used to think he killed Ann to show how evil he was but it was for a practical reason. He needed to inherit everything for his empire and her living too long might interfere with that. She was the whore of Babylon and he burns her with fire
Satan treated his acolytes as disposable slaves and wants nothing more than their souls as the source of his power. Allegiance is meaningless to him since he despises mankind. Here is a clear warning to those who foolishly think that the devil is a better alternative than God. God, Our Father loves us as His children whereas the prince of darkness only abuses us as slaves of sin. The only problem is Satan is usually successful in gaining more slaves by tricking many into believing that he is the 'victim' of injustice by God and due to man's fallen nature, he is generally successful in tempting a multitude of people to blindly serve him by claiming that God is unfair and unequal towards everyone.
Interesting analysis. The Democrat party operates through the exact same type of manipulation.

Lee Grant's previous film Airport 77 had her drowned face down in the water and now this movie had her face down on the floor burning up.

One thing I can say about Damien: Omen II is whilst it has it's haters it's the best film in The Omen series. Better than the original aswell, Damien: Omen II is my favourite.

It would have been cool to see Damien go back to the old winter house, now completely empty. Damien goes into Richard and Ann's room and has an evil smirk on his face and sinisterly says "You lost assholes. hehehehe." But then he goes into Mark's room and looks the other way. All he says is "You had your chance Mark. I did what I had to do." Mark's ghost appears with look of anger and rage on his face. Damien does not notice.

I loved the way he was dressed. He looked sharp as a tack in that uniform and trench coat. Jonathan Scott-Taylor and I are close to the same age, so this sequel holds a special place in my heart.
