@@sonic_trek Thanks dude, turns out I was trying to update the EMX2, all I need is SD card, so I did not use the usb lol : ) updated from 1.07 and now it can backup all patterns : )

Me too. Even after years, it's still a great synth track and one of the best A4 only tracks on Yt.

Yes indeed, a bit of Italo is in there. :) Leads are from the toraiz as-1 synth.

The closeup was a 30mm f2.0 lens on a Samsung nx300.

It was recorded track by track, then I added mixing, fx, eq, compression etc. in post.

Yes, it is done by configuring the A4 as the midi master and the Takt as slave (connect the A4 midi out to the Takt midi in), then using midi program changes: On the A4 under settings/midi/sync you set the checkmarks to "clock send", "transport send" and "prog ch send". On the DigiTakt you set checkmarks under the same menu to "clock receive", "transport receive" and "prog ch receive". Finally make sure on the A4 under settings/midi/channels, "prog ch out ch" number matches the DigiTakts settings/midi/channels "prog ch in ch". If you want to use "auto" there, then configure the "auto channel" to the same number on both units.

Yes song mode is available, I used it here too. This song builds from 16 patterns iirc. You can have 8 banks of 16 patterns in a song in any order and repeating at will, and there are more tools to elongate, like having a pattern played but with a track muted when switching to it, etc. Very powerful.

That is a wast list of instruments for the job, hard to say, but here's my opinion. I would imagine the A4 and the MC 707 as the centerpieces in this for melodic parts, the later complementing the limited polyphony of the A4. Both can sequence your outboard gear via Midi, which is useful. There is some overlap for drums, the Rytm and the TR8s is for very similar things, so you could omit one of those, based on which sounds better to you. The TB-3 and mb33 also overlaps for acid. I can hardly imagine the E2 for a prominent role in this setup, so that may be omitted. The Toraiz has great sound and is powerful for bass/solo techno lines, the Minilogue Xd good for the saw heavy heavenly trance sounds with the good reverbs in it, so I'd keep those.

Yeah, it has JV-1080 dna in it for sure. :) It is a much better form factor, than a rack unit if you can grant a little more space in your studio. I was eyeballing an Integra for years to get the Roland sound, but wasn't sure because it is after all just a 'box' without tactile controls, but when the Xm was released, it has finally pushed me over the line.

The versatility of the A1 sound makes it a better choice in my opinion, especially if you don't have many other synths in your setup.
