Hi Maria, I started Part 2 this morning and realised I'd missed Part 1 so I went back to that first! I think you’ve chosen a perfect fabric for your mermaid. I too love OFE Carp, I started with the carp then put it down so can't wait to get to the satin stitch. Planting. See you next time, really enjoy your videos.

Great video, Maria! 👍 I also stitch primarily on scroll frames! I use 2 brands: Millennium and Artisan Designs. I use scroll frames because I don’t like how hoops and Q-snaps leave marks/wrinkles, crush stitches, and distort the weave of the fabric, as you showed. On occasion, I might use a hoop/Q-snap for a small project that fits completely in the available space. My scroll frames are a bit different from yours, but what I’ve learned from you today is that I can sew some fabric onto the top and bottom to avoid unnecessary fabric usage which lessens waste/cost! I love seeing your name show up, so more often videos would be great!!! My sweet spot is about an hour for Flosstubes…anything more than that I have to watch in segments. BUT, you are providing your time and content for us, and I am a firm believer in doing what fits for you best…I will watch no matter what you choose!!!

I get a lot of joy when you show up on my notifications Maria! I would love to see an update more often however you need to do what is best for you. Re Jodyri Designs, she is no longer dying fabric or threads - sadly. You are very busy planting yourself a garden with your cross stitch.

You have some great favourites there, it's funny that you like all the English Country Cottages, these charts have been around for years including John Clayton. I've been stitching for nearly 40 years and these designs were popular then. I can't get hold of the Mill Hill Autumn orange wreath if you ever see it could you please let me know 😃

Thanks for sharing your holiday with us. The pictures and video were beautiful and what luck: Coming across a Mirabilia "in the wild!" I so feel compelled to make an observation on your love of stitching many cat-themed projects. This may never happen to you, but 30 years ago, I too had a love for stitching bears, floral patterns and anything with a Far East motif. I still love all my completed and framed projects and three or four of them hang proudly on my wall, but over the years, my taste changed a great deal. The majority of my bears, flowers and lovely Far Eastern ladies or words of wisdom in Chinese against bamboo backdrops and such - are all in storage. Hopefully, waiting for a future generation of stitchers to discover them in a thrift store one day.

Oh and the Annual Border is just so dainty and perfect in all those tiny details. Looove it
