Where can i order this kit for my JS?
Hi Mark. Are any more of these kits likely to be made? In the process of doing the same conversion, so kit would be awesome.
Where can I find the conversion bearing? That's the only thing I'm hung up on to finish my kit.
You don’t need to add the + just put in the number .0002 the control recognizes it

Why would you use the sheet metal enclosure to square your fourth. Sheet metal is far from accurate to the 'tenths indicator' you're using. You should do it to the face of the fourth or the face of the vice adapter plate.
I’m not running it across the sheet metal. I’m running the indicator across the precision ground body. The face of the fixture isn’t a bad place to check but can induce error if you’re fixture isn’t perfectly parallel.
@@markkonschak6288 That's a big error in the middle for precision ground 😞 Defo use the face plate, that's the bit that matters so that's the bit to measure 🙂 As an aside you'll get better measurements with that indicator if you turn it so the needle drags behind it rather than it being perpendicular to what you're measuring too
If this is an HRT230 then you should set Z zero on top of a set of 6" of jo blocks or 5" for an HRT160.

Awesome - I see they're in stock now. Does a 750SS couch pump fit this? What is the conversion bearing mentioned for JS hulls?
@@ryanc6574 yes the 750ss pump will work and the conversion bearing is to update to the rubber isolated bearing vs the solid driveshaft mount. Because a X2 driveshaft must be used.
How are you centring the stock within the jaws of the vice?
I used a 5th axis self centering vise.
@@markkonschak6288 yes, I have the same vice. I meant centring the stock in the Y axis. Perhaps just setting with a ruler is adequate?

Just purchased this kit. From what I see in the video the original rubber pump seal isn’t used just the sealer, am I correct?

Really depends on the engine setup.
