Dr Michael R Hamblin gives the keynote address at PBM2021, the virtual joint meeting of WALT and NAALT. It covers the history and mechanisms of photobiomodulation with a focus on brain disorders.
Potentiation of antimicrobial photodynamic inactivation with inorganic salts
Переглядів 4363 роки тому
Dr Michael R Hamblin summarizes a body of his research showing that a variety of inorganic salts can dramatically potentiate aPDI by up to 6 logs of cell killing. In vitro, and in vivo studies are discussed as well as a pilot human clinical trial.

Great talk thank you
Fascinating, thank you
So helpful , thanks so much
Swiss Mountain Sanatories treated tuberculosis not only with sunlight, but at the same time with mountain ( rich) milk = vitamine D and obtained sterilisation of pulmonary tbc foyers within ~ 6 months. Light furnished the necessary energy incentivating the general metabolism and Vit D directing the specifical metabolical healing of a bacillary disease.
You know that Nattokinase, K2-MK7, D3, Nitric Oxide, Omega 3 can clear out your arteries?
There is new science out about TRPM2 calcium ion channels and linking issues with allowing calcium into the cell to ME/CFS.....it's being treated with Low Dose Naltrexone in the lab....could light do this then?? Where would we shine the light?
I've been taking LDN every night for about 2 years. It's for low level, whole body pain management. Can you expound a little about LDN in the context you referenced?

Excelente 👏👏👏🇧🇷
Excellent presentation. Dr. Hamblin - many are using photobiomodulation to activate exosomes and stem cell in vitro before injection, Though there is not much agreement on wave length, irradiance or pulse. Ive read where some doctors are applying green light to exosomes to improve efficacy once injected. Are there ay research studies on these topics ?
Ive read your research, happy to find this video!
Thank you very interesting I’m learning about red light therapy and photobiomodulation
Hi Micheal. Do you have any recommendations for PBM dosage for ADHD?
does it matter if you use a panel to get your red light therapy or a helment or hand device like symbyx to help with parkinson? or even a nasal device?
I have this same question.
It matters in terms of how much power per area it outputs AND how close it is to your skin. Ideally, you would want it to be pressed up against your skin with no gap. Search up the contact method for red light therapy
Is there an optimum dose time ie is it possible to overload mitochondria by giving too many photons too quickly? By this I mean if you gave a dose of energy in 10 minutes vs the same dose in 1 minute, would there be any chance of 'overloading' ? I see a whole range of devices, especially laser from 1w to 30w. Isn't 30w overkill for most scenarios?
Very well explained!
Thank you, Dr. Hamblin for this informative lecture, I value all the lectures you have shared on youtube. I look forward to learning from you!
Thank you Mr Hamblin!! This is life-changing information for SO MANY people.
Thank you for your great work Mike.
Thank you for a great presentation Dr Hamblin.
Can infrared light damage the eyes?
Does not high altitude also increase UVB exposure?
yes but there is no evidence that UVB increases PBM effects in fact the opposite is true that PBM can prevent against UVB damage
@@fluoro11 Thank you so much! I much appreciate all that you have done to bring PBM to the forefront as a very viable treatment for some of the most devastating conditions we know.
I'm trying it now along with excercise and Lion's Mane for my GAD.
Complex topic but even a layperson can take away extremely valuable information. Thank you.
Thanks for all your work in this field!
Do the hair lasers penetrate to the brain as well?
Dr. Hamblin, could you direct me to some producers of photobiomodulation devices for neurodegenerative diseases which you feel are reputable?
Red Light Man, PlatinumLED, Joovv, + cheap 850nm units on eBay.
Vielight is reputable
@@fluoro11 thank you.
Dr. Hamblin, thank you for your presentation! You are an awesome teacher! Obviously no one knows that you have a channel or you would have hundreds of thousands of followers. Word will get out because you are fabulous. Everytime that I have the privilege of hearing a lecture I grow in knowledge, understanding and wisdom. God has blessed you and you are blessing others in your good works. Thank you.
Dear Dr. Hamblin, thank you for your presentation. Could you somehow translate this "therapy" into a sunlight dose recommendation? How much sunlight do you need everyday for improved/optimum health? Or is it important that you exclude other frequencies? Considering that our body has evolved under the sun? I can immagine that this depends on skin type, location, season and time of day, but is there some way to explain what is a healthy daily dose?
Really enjoy your presentations and interviews Dr. Hamblin. Would love to see one on pain and arthritis.
