Complete frame-off, nut & bolt, restoration. Two different tops installed in the slides, the standard Bestop top, and a top made for the Jeepster Convertible out of blue Stayfast canvas. To get the Convertible top to fit, I had to make a lot of hardware such as window frames, back windows, and new bows. The engine is the original Dauntless Oddfire V-6 that Kaiser bought from Buick. It is called...

Jaguar E-Type Restoration - 2 1/2 years in 8 minutes
Переглядів 216 тис.13 років тому
Restoration video of a Series II Jaguar E-Type. The restoration took two and a half years, thousands of hours of labor, and much, much more $$. The Jag was last licensed in 1983 and spent the last 15 years outside with a deteriorated car cover. This was a nut and bolt restoration. Everything was rebuilt or replaced. Every motor, caliper, assembly, etc. was dissassembled and rebuilt.
The etype os possibly the most gorgeous car ever made and only the finest resto will do for these beauties. No etype should ever be scrapped
Now this is some killer work here on this classic!! I love the diamond plate and the fix it tough but nice mentality very much!!!
had to turn down the awful music
How much did it cost?
Sharp looking Econoline pick up truck.
Such a pleasure ... !!!
Beautiful job done ,i could never afford one but appreciate the most beautiful car ever built
NIce restoration but I hate the music!
Fantastic video.........................................bloody annoying music!
It's more like an art restoration of a museum piece. The care you took in the restoration is evidenced in the padding you used to support the car on the jack stands. After seeing the finished product I'm surprised it was completed in only 2 1/2 years.
Outstanding work of professional craftsmanship. Beautiful job well done.
Hope you turned a nice profit when finished👍
sexiest lines in the universe
Stunning and superb music 👍👍👍
Damn it, we support the criminal in Moscow. Putin can only be defeated if we implement an immediate energy-saving lockdown. No more private trips. Heating only at night and only one room with light and electricity, you can simply set that at the fuse box....Cities could, for example, switch off every second street light and companies could switch off their neon signs. We can initially limit driving to pure business trips and hospital trips, etc...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop driving now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brilliant well done , you must have had great satisfaction when you finished
カッコイイ~秀樹感激Goodです=3
Excellent work. I have a 72' out back on jackstands right now. Welding in the Inner and Outer rockers this weekend.
Love it! Any idea how many hours/dollars you spent on this?
Amazing
What a lovely piece of work. You were lucky to acquire the car from its previous owner. I saw an Austin Healey 3000 go from decent condition to rusting hulk and finally dust, because the owner would not let the car go. Any approaches were met with a definite 'not for sale' comment. I could weep, even now.
absolutely a fantastic job...Love it
Very cool rebuild🤠
Fantastic job. But why not fit three carbs?
Because there was only room for two on the manifold. He put it back to it's original showroom condition.
nuke the music please.
Well done, good show, chap from Blighty
I’m a little late in spotting this post, but hey, no way to not comment on a phenomenal amount of exhausting but high quality work you’ve done there!! Well done you and I really hope you’ve had bucket loads of pleasure in return. Great work to a beautiful car!
a once in a lifetime achievement...
How do you remove the hard top?
From past experience, not in flip flops by yourself. You cant imaging what the corner of a 150 lb hard top can do when you drop it on your toes... Think smashed grapes. Some guys throw a few rings in the top for hoisting it off, I had a buddy who made a little dolly with arms he slid in from the back and drove out from under it...
Brilliant job 🌟🌟🌟🌟💎

wow!
My dream car....even the right colors!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
As a Jag mechanic and owner, I am very impressed. Nice job
Beautiful restoration!
Just lovely and the perfect interior and exterior colors.
Well done, good job for sure. I enjoy working on my '68 OTS & taking it for a drive after 35 years of ownership never gets boring.
Wonderful work, well done. One day I will own an E-type, one day.
Sweet !
Sweet restoration. I live in a rural area and had one given to me. It could not pass the annual inspection because just about every thing on it was rusted and not safe to drive on public roads. The Buick V 6 still ran fine after a tune up. We drove that in the fields and woods for years until the body just fell off the frame and you could not steer it anymore. I hope your commando gives you the same pleasure mine gave me.
I am green with envy. The most beautiful car in the world
It has been decades,,,,and still no car built today can even come close to the lines,,,,the beauty,,,the class of these jags,,,
how could anyone not love an e type jag?
The best colour for a british car,the car looks great.
So sad. The resto cost (not counting his labor) more than the car is worth. Now you have a pretty car that no one under 50 identifies, slower than a mid-size new car, terrible service intervals, high oil consumption, and you can't park it anywhere.
Nice job👌👌
