But the most obvious one is that when I make those videos I am mostly tired because of some previous work, lack of sleep, etc. Good thing is that you can speed up videos here, and also I will be trying to make more organized, focused and shorter videos in future. Nice to hear that ! Yeah, for tutorials I am using Autodesk SketchBook, which is older app but still free and still great, although not updated as much as I know. It is very intuitive but for better and professional results graphic tablet is a must, mouse is very hard to use for drawing.

Yes, my computer was old too, so it could not support some more modern Windows. But more important, all my software on it was working without problem and was good enough for my personal and freelance projects too. I have recently upgraded to Win 10 and 11 because some software stopped supporting Win XP, but I think only few of those justify it with new features or workflow. Most of the software I am explaining on my channel should work on older computers and older OS.

Btw, I was using Win 7 here I think, not Win XP. But everything I said applies to both of those, if they work good and software too, why change them.

I think I solved the problem, at some point at least, because still not sure. Will have to wright it down in video description, but long story short, the cookies and the web browser are probably the problem. So: 1.Try opening the GameMaker Marketplace in other web browser then your current. 2.Try deleting the cookies or checking their restrictions, it can be that GM Marketplace is not allowed to open or needs some cookies accepted to open. 3.Try logging in first in GameMaker website, then opening the GM Marketplace Some of those strategies, on some computers, helped me finally open GM Marketplace, but still not on all. Cheers !

Windows, why ? Recently I moved onto newer computers with Win 10 and 11 because I had to "modernize", but on this video I probably used Win 7.

Yeah, it's almost impossible for them or similar companies to admit a mistake or correct errors, but they know how to push their ideas even if they make no sense. Have you tried any alternatives to YT, if yes - what are your experiences ?

Same problem here. My account is 16 years by now. Sure, I haven't uploaded that regulary lately, but they're telling me there is not enough channel history?? Not being able to pin comments is so annoying - why is this even an advanced feature?

@@TitanKaempfer Its just UA-cam trying to push its ideas without asking creators and users what they think about it, do they need it, etc. And it is more funny how they always mask it under some kind of worry for our safety, concerns about others, them being good guys and users bad. But its a two way street fortunately, content is obviously getting worse on YT and creators are leaving more and more. I myself am trying to find new platforms and ways to share my content too, and leave UA-cam making their own.

@@TBG963 It has to be broken or not working first, to be fixed then. And they don't see it that way, we as creators see that as problem if are cut out of it. For you that is a problem, a need, for YT it's a feature, not a bug. It is "for your safety and better experience". Probably because we pin some very dangerous comments or ? In your particular case, if I saw right, your channel is around "only" one year old. So they can justify cutting those options from you as - oh, your channel doesn't have enough "history",... But of course "history" is not defined in some clear limits, like: your channel has to be old 5, 10 years, or how long ? They can interpret it any way they like, always on their benefit, not yours. And they can turn it on or off ANYTIME, change their decisions or rules ANYTIME ! Same goes with subscriber numbers, comments, links,..., you just don't have control on what they implement, but because YT doesn't have real competition they get away with it. No explanations, obligations or consultations with users. That is why I am trying to transfer my content to some other platforms asap, and I talked about it in my last video on this YT channel. Funnier thing is how that "feature" as comment pinning, is something that can be easily implemented in YT or similar platforms. It literally doesn't cost them anything, it is not a "new" or "advanced" feature, it was always there, and it is just pushing one comment above others, always on top. But because they can turn that feature on or off at any time, and that way blackmail creators, now people see comment pinning as something "advanced", "complex" or valuable. Crazy... Btw,... Your channel probably already has some ads on your videos ? And from those ads you don't see any earning ? So, don't worry, for those purposes your channel is good enough and your history is ok.

But can you also be a little bit more precise on your problem with this GameMaker block. You don't know how to use it (it didn't work as you intended) or when to use it (like in what kind of game)? I will try to make some more simple example or divide it in steps so you can check it out then.

Hey, Thanks for commenting, although it's Gamemaker related on SketchBook video, haha. Can you be more specific about what you need exactly ? Turn based animation, like in games with turn based battles, so: - when its your turn you want to be able to 1.pick one character among team 2.order him what enemy to attack 3.then he performs attack animation 4.and deals damage to enemy ? If thats it, I literally wrote the game logic steps, we just need to code it in GML d&d. And delay like pause in these steps or ?

@@BigzPh I will try to make something which can help you, but I can not promise it will be soon. Since even though you need part of the battle system it is connected to system in wholeness as integral part. So even you can "cut out" one mechanics you need out of it, on the long term it will probably make you problem sooner or later when you want to connect it to system or add more features and mechanics. For example: - damage you get from fight should be saved somewhere in data, like: - player health, experience stats - items you collect after fight - ... can you do it and how ? Because of their complexity RPG game should not be your first game to develop. If possible start with something smaller, maybe try to tackle some simpler mechanics from it, then after few, go for combining those in more complex games and so on. My tiredness is CONSTANT, not a variable ! Haha, yeah, you noticed it well probably, sometimes tired, sometimes sleepy, since working on my games, real world issues etc. But also talking or explaining slowly is my thing I guess, so I will have to work on it in future to keep up with modern times. You are welcome, glad it helped you. It's always "that one button" that makes the problem if left checked or unchecked, haha. If you can not find a solution right away then work on something else or try different approach on same problem. Just don't give up, go step by step in smaller increments and progress will be visible sooner or later. Most of the features in GM, as in other game engines, are done by developers to make our work easier, but you can almost always make them from scratch yourself or find some different way to achieve the same effect. Problems mostly occur because game engines themselves are very big, complex - it takes time to explore them, and problems people fall in are mostly not explained by developer companies unfortunately.
