i don't have any idea what the fuck is even going on, i just know i'm on the verge of tears and getting lots of goosebumps just from the sheer hype of this trailer
shadowbringer is the best final fantasy game that for me, will never get matched by anything... i have never seen or played a game with such theme, so well done and with such strong story.
It's wild how much of a turning point this expansion is. Combing all the other previous expansions at the start. This new expansion diverts so much from everything we saw in Heavensward and Stormblood. Bring back a long-gone critical character and more importantly, throwing away the Warrior of Light good guys always win mentality. Big pay offs for everyone who pay offs attention during the end and post "A realm reborn"
I am excited for Dawntrail, don't get me wrong. But I have a hard time believing that they can ever top the feeling, the vibe and the hype I got and still get from this trailer. It is just so damn perfect. Even Endwalker - while exceptionally emotional and amazing in it's own right, and the perfect continuation/close to that storyline - didn't hit as hard and as good as shadowbringers. Especially when it comes to the trailer. The music, the buildup, the style and aesthetic/theme... Just on another level.
As someone who no longer has the time to play games as I was young and especially seek many hours into mmos, I was happy to experience this amazing expansion from start to finish. The reaction still holds after these years.
There's a parallel universe in which COVID never happened and people lost their shit during the Endwalker live reveal when they showed Sharlayan or Estinien's entrance.
This reaction makes me so unbelievably emotional, you know everyone at that area has been trough the same journey as you do, and share the same hype and reaction. It’s just ultra emotional and connected.
just started Shadowbringers yesterday (took me 2 weeks to finish post-stormblood 'cause getting side-tracked etc.) watching these to build up my own hype LOL
