Love Renee & love Dan Hicks...best of both worlds
Love this song. RIP Renee
Great shame this is not on Spotify. I agree it’s better than Dan Hicks or Dolby version Vale Renee
Is that a taishan alto as well? What's your impression on it?
Fantastic horn but I only play tenor and sop these days. :)

For Americans who aren't really sure what ASIO (mentioned at 1:40) is, it's essentially the Australian version of the CIA/NSA, or MI-5 in Britain.
14:32 how good!
Can I have a link to the website
Ha, I don't know who Jeff Duffield is ... this is me :)
Also on the Double album Dirt Music that came with the first hard copies of Tim Winton's Dirt Music....Hauntingly Beautiful.

Sousaphone is perfect home decoration
Been a fan of this song since Dan Hicks, of course liked the Thomas Dolby version of it, but this... is my favorite, love it.
salmonella water splashing everywhere. stop washing chicken
Yeah, I have read that but I figure I get everything clean and make sure the sink area and even the window is clean afterwards. I don't really trust the 'processors' as much as I trust my own cleanliness. But thanks for the advice.
The Acapelicans were wonderful.
My dude my brother you need to break in that reed but that does sound pretty good
Well done Jeff- a lovely version and tip of the hat to a brilliant song. Keep em coming
hey, i love playing baritone saxophone I'm in Armed forces of Liberia, matching band.. 😎😎😎😎😎🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 thank you
I play alto but wanna play bari. What do you think
I've seen this done before but it wasn't nearly as nice as this! ❤
I’m an 8th grade alto player soon to be bari all I know is I’m getting it sometime before March hopefully tomorrow but very unlikely but still, SO EXCITED!!!
Do you think it's still for sale? At what price point?
what is this, a chair for ants? LOL awesome i gotta make one for my 4 year old she will love it. could carve an entire tea party in 1 hour
So it’s been a few years how is the sax holding up?
Hi Vlad ... well, I sold it about a year ago and apparently the lady who bought it is very happy with it :-)
Female Bari sax players where you at?
I sold it to a female player - in Bairnsdale :-)
Manda um desse pra mim, não tenho condições para compra e quero muito tocar...
Ha, in your dreams Henrique! In any case, I sold the bari last year :-(
Lindo sax
Hi Jeff, the track appeared first on a compilation album "Where Joy Kills Sorrow" on an indie cd label W Minc and Shock Records. It has some obscure covers recorded by artists like Paul Kelly, Vika & Linda and Dave Graney and of course this amazing track by Renee. Cheers, Dave
Thanks so much Dave. Just saw this :)
This version is also on the Dirt Music: Music for a Novel compilation from 2002
Do you think the color affected it
Whats it called and how much is it
Flat
I can't BELIEVE how cheap these things are! It's $800 cheaper than the alto I just bought! I'm very, VERY tempted to buy one with next year's tax refund. I'm sure it probably needs a lot of TLC to keep it up in decent playing condition, but it'd be worth the effort just for how nice it looks. As for the sound... well, a good embouchure, good mouthpiece, and a good reed can make any horn sound good.
next time master it then do a demo...sorry but its ard to judge
Infant chair.
Just letting everyone know that these are decent horns. I just picked one up and was very skeptical but out of the box it plays in tune and I was surprised! The mpc it comes with junk. I’m all about Theo wanne so I found a used Durga and boy does this sound awesome. I wasn’t about to pay 5 or 6 grand or more when this will do the trick.
Great skill with the saw. 👍 Go strong and keep it safe!
A bari sax case with wheels? 😭😭😭😭 im about to nut
Woah there.
