Me to Just got mine !
Thanks for this video it’s so helpful! What size are the saddle and top tube bags can you remember?
Tread wear is already visible after 1,000 km. Which is quite early.
you're an idiot, just saying 🤣😉
What sort of wheels do you need is it all on the road
Yes, all on road
Very annoying and loud intro music.
Don’t forget the bike !😅😂😂😂😂
I think your running them way too low on the PSI. I have these exact same tires and run them with tubes around 60PSI.
but my ass is big
Thank you for review. OT - I like your mirror on handlebar, what is that?
Great review. I’ve just ordered a pair myself!
I bought it today. Lost in fifteen minutes… The ball joint that joins the mirror to the support is much too shallow. Installing it and seeing how easily I could detach the mirror from its mount, I had a big doubt about how long it would take me to lose it. I got my answer: fifteen minutes… $30 (CDN, but still) lost… Maybe I'll try the little Corky from The Beam. I hope the ball joint is stronger.
since it's small size, does this mirror do it's job well?
Are the £30-£35 tyres not tubeless compatible?
Great work m8
Ya could of made that from an empty soda bottle or plastic folder, save yourself some money
I have a different type mirror that's even smaller and folds back into a bar end cap when you're not using. In my experience, not being convex is good, because you get a better perception of distance from approaching vehicle. Also you want to set it up that you can just barely (very slightly) see the side edge of your leg when it's at the bottom of the pedal stroke, and you want to see the horizon of the rear roadway dead center across the mirror. I'm a trucker, who only has side mirrors to see from behind.
Is it solid? (See my comment on my experience with the CatEye)
@@SuperHyperExtra no doubt the Cateye is a much better all around mirror. I use my little mirror, because it folds inside the handlebar. It takes a little getting use to, because of its smaller size. It doesn't move, because it's very light weight. I once owned a heavier mirror (Venzo), definitely not as good as the Cateye but similar, that would move when hitting bumps, because of its heavier weight.
Thanks for your reply! I can answer my own question. The shop refunded me the (lost) Cateye BM-45 so I bought the little Corky Urban. The ball joint on the Corky seems much more solid! Hope I will get used to so tiny a mirror... I found a review of the Cateye BM-45 and the only "Cons" was: "Ball and socket joint can separate if knocked"
I had a puncture my first ride out with these. Then another about three months later. I had Marathon Plus tires on my previous bike and never had a puncture on them.
Marathon plus is probably the most puncture proof of all, in fairness to the G-ones,
@@aarontaylor1679 I think I got so used to riding on the Marathon Plus tires that I was riding with less caution than I would've otherwise
Thank you.
Mine are not looking that good after 1000km’s, but I have 35mm.
Yes.. the 35 mm version. That must be why.
usan cámara estos neumáticos ???
Good review! These are fantastic tyres, run 40s and 35s...✌️
This is big ass sawer?
In your video, the tire label is exactly the same as mine -- they do not have TLE or TLR. Do you know if these are actually tubeless compatible? I'd like to go tubeless but worried that because it does not say so on the tire, that they wouldn't be tubeless compatible. Do you (or anyone here) know the answer?
There are two versions: "Tube" and "TLE" (=Tubeless Easy). If you have "Tube" they are not tubeless compatible. Sorry.
The knobs disappeared very fast for me... but i am a very heavy rider, so that might have to do with it. They feel great though.
Esses pneus são APENAS para terra. Pneus para ruas são LISOS.
There are much better mirrors out there which will fit into the end of dropped bars, the Cateye is far to small, and for me totally usless
Which ones would you recommend that are better than the cateye?
I have an even smaller mirror that gets tucked away back into the bar end when not in use. You have to get use to it, and you have to adjust it just right. When your leg is at the bottom of the pedal stroke, you should just slightly see the very edge of your leg in the mirror. And you should see the rear horizon of roadway dead center across the mirror. You use these mirrors just so you know when there's an approaching vehicle so you prepare. You still need to look over your shoulder when changing lanes and such.
Great video mate. I’m riding this on Wednesday for the first time and was feeling a tad anxious about the hills. Good to see that you walked it, I was thinking I may have to do the same. Keep up the videos. 😃
That saddle bags gonna get soaked though
Hi - need some help to select the right gravel tire. I currently have the Bontrager GR2 Team Issue Gravel Tire (700c 40mm) - but get flats all the time (even when i ride on the normal street - 1 week riding - flat - 4 flats on the back tire, 1 flat on the front tire in the last 4 weeks). I got the Tannus Armour Tire Inserts - but that doesnt fix the flat problem. Can you recomment me another gravel tire (high puncture resistance!)? which one has the best quality and prevents flats Panaracer, Vittoria, Continental or WTB or something else? My terrain: Road and also some Offroad (forrest with gravel and fine sand). I would say 60% road, 40% offroad.
Donde encontrar neumaticos ( 28x1.35) ó unos similar ????
On the internet.
сколько стоит велосипед?
How did you get these on your bike?!
Hi, what's the model for the saddlebag and size? Looking for something to pair with my ass saver
What is the max speed with it?
Hiw fast can you pedal.
99.9% The speed of light
What the maximum speed with it?
your review made me decide to get this mirror, put it on the bike, havnt looked back since. Thanks, great review.
Best comment I have read for a while 😂😂
LOL
Great Dad joke that went over everyone’s heads! 😂
I ride them since 1500 km on Snow, Mud, Trails and Road. They are excellent. On the road with 4 bar, on Gravel 2.5 - 3 bar.
Will this fit for iphone xr?
how fast you can ride on asphalt with schwalbe g one?
Not fast, I use them and to go fast you need other tires
This does not deserve the name of mudguard
Dosn't work...
I keep getting caught out and surprised by cars or white van man especially when going a bit quick with the wind you just don't hear them until they're basically on your back wheel! I ordered these the other day so I'm looking forward to trying them I just finding out if I made an ok choice. Cheers, ride safe!
so, how do you find it because I need to get one but not sure yet
@@realhass it is quite small, and holds well in place even over bumps and stuff. Really it's just big enough to make out that something is coming without having to keep twisting around to really see. Also it depends whether you're on the hoods or the drops as to what angle you set it. Overall I'm happy with it but I can see the small size might not be too everyone's taste. Works for me though👍 😊
@@ollieb9875 thanks I’ve ordered one prior your reply 😆 since it has most positive reviews when I looked around. Again thank you.
@@realhass Oki ,😁 hope you enjoy it. Take it easy, ride safe 👍😅
@@realhass any good?
Thanks a lot for such a detailed review. I am definitely gonna buy it now. Cheers.
Marathon plus for me, am declaring war on punctures
Ditch tubes to begin with.
@@kamilkurzynowski3836 why
@@magnumllama400 Cause inner tubes are the weak point of the system, good puncture resistant tires + good sealant will do a better job. Patching tire is easier than patching a tube too. Running lower pressure gives you more puncture protection too.
@@kamilkurzynowski3836 you ate some tubeless bullshit. Stop suggesting people. We're bored of it
MRathon plus is the best!!!!!!!!!!!
How are they on wet road/autumn/winter situations (not snow/ice)?
I have been running them for 2 winters now and there great. HTH
I had some problems on Iceland with flowing magma.
big shit. 3 punctures in two years. no grip in terrain or ice.
Late to the party but I have to say my two cents. I had the G-one allround 29"x2,25". Got the tubeless variant and set them up as such. First tire, got a micropuncture after a 20km ride which I assumed the sealant would seal but to no avail. It just seeped through. After inspection it was a really small rift and I would expect the sealant to do its job. Anyway, the hole was plugged with a plug kit and off I went. Reached out to the website that sold it. Got a replacement tire as they agreed that this should not happen. Got a replacement in time for a bikepacking trip and off I went again. The same thing happened on kilometer 320. A micropuncture which the sealant just seeped through. Got my plug kit but that would not hold with pressure over 15psi. Put a tube in finally but had issues with that, probably because of rubbing on the puncture as I had to make it larger with a plug which popped out repeatedly with pressure over 15psi. Now I was stranded on top of a mountain in pouring freezing rain with a storm coming. Thankfully got down but had not faith in these tires after this experience. Decided to test out my last tire with four different types of sealant. No sealant worked properly on micropunctures, not even Stans. Got refunded for the tires I sent back but will not try G-ones again as I lost all faith in them after this experience. Have to say though that while they worked, they are a superior tire, rolled better over packed gravel than badly laid tarmac and were comfy. But the reliability issue is a deal breaker for me. Now I run Race King from Continental, rolls a little bit slower but everything else is up to par with the G-ones and had zero issues with reliability.
good experience to share!
Bad sealant?
How about Schwalbe Hurricanes four an all round tyre? They are smoother in the centre, but have knobbly bits on the outside for grip in off-road.
I'm onto my 2nd pair of hurricanes, love them. It's possible that the first model of these tyres were faster, not sure, but they are a good tyre
I wonder, how do we tell if the G Ones needed to be replaced?
when the air leaks out from the thin carcass
Thank you! Do you find the mirror you use useful? If yes, what make is it?
hello and many thanks for your 2 reviews on this tyre. I ve noticed that Schwalbe offer 4 types of G-One Allround : EVO TLE, Performance I TLE, RaceGuard, DD I RaceGuard. Which one is the one you have reviewed? anythoughts on the other ones ? thanks !
good kit list, mine is almost the same and most crucial is the Redshift Stem :) takes out road buzz and well worth the weight added. However tyres on that bike look a little on the grippy side get some GP5000's on that and roll with less effort
