I think you need to push the outriggers down more and use the front bucket/forks to lift the tractor a little too so it doesnt try moving so much

Vines can grow between trees and cause a problem when the tree starts to fall. You wouldn’t think that a little vine can have that big of an effect on a falling tree.

Mecahnical advantage is your best friend. Especially with a tractor like that.

When a stump is large for your machine: It’s counterintuitive, fill in one side and push it up a ramp with the bucket. I found it easier and faster than a chain. My 1/4” chain broke and the hook was bent irreparably when trying to pull it out of the hole. With a bucket, you can easily push the stump an exactly where you want it. 1. Break off the roots all around the stump. 2. Once the backhoe can wiggle the stump fairly easily, fill in the side of the hole for your bucket approach. 3. Push the stump with the bucket to make sure the stump wobbles and roots are broken from the ground. 4. Dig the ramp opposite the filled in bucket approach. 5. Push the stump onto its side toward the ramp. 6. Push the from the bottom of the stump to get it out of the hole. This knowledge will cut your time down by about 3/4… you can sit in the shade of your stump for lunch.

Please use a recovery damper when pulling with chains, cables, ropes and straps. Also don't jerk a chain, slow and steady.

Check the weld on the saddle. Its a weak spot. Hope you don't have your front axle come out from under it.

Grease those pins often. That loader and tractor is not a skid steer.

Don't know if you have added ballast to your tires yet, but it make a difference in how the tractor performs. They have power but no weight at all.

Grapple would simplify the work, tractor worked well. Good video.

Love what you're doing, great tractor but you need some weight on the ass end desperately. Put a 500lb 3-point box on there and you will be amazed at the different in handling the heavy items.

I don't own a tractor or much land yet (only 1.3 acres). So I'm living vicariously through you for now.

Sometimes, it's better to KNOW things, before you do them.

I was not liking the idea of pulling a tree towards me with winch, so I was considering snatch block so that I'm winching behind or to the side of the tree just in case it falls while winching.

You need a backhoe for that thing .

Great video, but your giving me mini heart attacks man. Hitting the camera off the rip, almost running over the chainsaw. About ram over the camera and dropped a big log on it… wheeww.

I bet you wish you had the grapple. Also, I don’t think you had the brush cutter adjusted correctly. I think the wheel should only touch the ground while mowing.

it was nice to see that you had an escape route which is something many people forget about.

friend got eye damage because he wasn't wearing a helmet with a screen.

I remind myself everytime I bring a tree down that some of my best friends with lots of experience have chopped themselves up with their chainsaw because they weren't wearing the right boots or chaps.

you need safety gear to go with your chainsaw. in my experience it is a very good idea to get the strap or rope two-thirds of the height of the tree. two straps onto winches can make it a lot easier to guide where the tree will go. there are times when the strap or rope loses all tension the tree will go far-left or far right of where you thought it should go. get the strap as tight as possible. most hand winches have about 6 to 8 ft of cable. you want the most tension possible with your wench. you want as much cable left as possible so that you don't have to then undo the wench and redo it.

Man I’m looking at this rope, then at this huge tree and I’m like « this guy is not seriously thinking this rope is doing anything there? ». I would stick to something rated with real strength and put some real tension in it like you did in the other video. Do not use something that light just because you don’t have the proper length of the good stuff.
