Anderson is one of the best at what he does. This particular episode was so heartbreaking, especially the ending with the pictures of those that were killed while on their way home. I can honestly say the entire show was eye opening and I can truly say that I will NEVER get back on a plane again. I am not a huge traveller to begin with however, there have been time I thought of going to Europe again.... My trips will now be through books and the web... I will not board a plane what so ever.

Fire is the #1 threat so It makes no sense how Los Angeles didn't utilize their resources in a better way to prepare them to deal with fires.. The city has to prepare for stuff like this. I Hope we will see them build extensive water pumping systems from the ocean. They should Install water spraying systems onto the individual houses. They could install remote controlled valves so they could control the water pressure. They need to build systems that redirect & collect any rain water that they receive, rather than dumping it back out into the ocean. We need to adapt our systems so they work cohesively with our ecosystem. We should build Desalination plants & We definitely should bring the Beaver's back. Honestly, how are people supposed to recover from a Disaster such as this? We are seeing insurance companies fail us, we are seeing our government fail us. Most people are struggling to afford basic living. Our country is completely unable to handle this kind of stuff. Our country is failing these people. How does our country expect people to rebuild a second house when affording the first house was already a life long achievement.. How can our country keep functioning like this? Our country is in complete denial about the impacts of these disasters. How will our systems continue to function? We have to adapt. We have to.

I don't see any merit. These guys were just opportunists looking for another big payday since their songs revenue had dried up.

The US government is not allowed to confiscate these yachts. It's theft and they are aware of it. It's no surprise that they haven't been able to sell a single yacht.

The problem with having a yacht over a certain size is that you can't always get into some ports for easy docking. And anchoring out and having to take the tender ride through sometimes rough water to get in is a pain in the rear. It's so nice to just step off onto the dock to explore the smaller towns and villages from a smaller yacht. And as for fuel, some areas have cheaper diesel than others, you just have to plan around that part to try and be where it's cheaper when you need to fuel up. But above all that the absolute most expensive part is when you want to haul out to do an extensive refit, you're looking at millions at that point. Other smaller expenses include provisions, dock fees (and some are fairly expensive), pilot fees for taking you into the harbor, pump outs, etc, etc.

These people do not "earn" the money to buy these yachts, they take from the workers who run their companies... workers who either don't make enough to have a home and send their kids to college or workers who must work a second job. I think it is time for an actual violent class war. This show is simply promoting these billionaires way of life. It's disgusting.

Very true - these boats create many jobs and livelihood for many people. For building them and considering the 10% of their cost used annually - for maintenance. Maybe, it's only these boats that manage to properly drain the huge sums of wealth that the rich have - and allow the huge wealth they have accumulated to trickle down and be distrubuted to the poor.
