    these great commuters ..cause : they take off fairly fast and tote lots weight ..and hvy enough not blow around road and great gas (68 to 72 depends how u drive it ).

      650cc with only 375 lbs of weight ..!!! All other ~650cc bikes are well over 600 lbs

    This bike looks kind of like my Savage. I have a 2002 Savage. It has been turned into a Bobber. I didn't Bob this bike. It was like this when I purchased it.

    Suspension front and rear was my best upgrade along with an Airhawk seat pad. I do like my pipe though.

    New sub here. Cool project mate, the bumper looks great. My choice for color would be white, because of the white wall tyre it would make a cool black and white theme. How about a pod filter on the carb and a dewire behind the battery ? Cant wait to see the next step

    Over 60mph, my 2012 starts shaking too much. I gotta hang in the slow lane, but hey… I’m fine with that. I ain’t got no death wish like those 120mph lane splinters.

      Someone who wants to ride but can't afford expensive bikes. Plus, people that don't mind wrenching on their bikes. Learning how to keep their machine running. So they can ride. Plus, if they buy a cheap bike, fix it up themselves. They save money on labor. And can fix their own bike if it breaks down on a. Trip no. Need for a tow truck. And no payments or full coverage insurance.

    I paid $2300 for my 2004 purple suzuki savage and I think it was worth every penny. You got a steal!! I also ride in Texas! Cypress/Houston area

    I have the same Savage 650 1998 since 2002... 185 thousand kilometers through Brazil and the south of South America. Simple, basic and amazing motorcycle. Top speed? just o necessary...

    Hey , did you have to get wires for the throttle when you bought the ape hangers? Did you have to cut and extend the wires for the starter switch. I like your bike a lot , wanna make mine to look as cool as yours

      I did have to get a throttle cable and clutch cable from the Savage years, which had the bullhorn bars. The control cables for the electronic stuff were plenty long enough.

    I’ve just got a 05 savage 650 , it was someone’s bobber project they stopped on , needed a tank and the carb fixed but for her running today ! Such an awesome engine , love the noise it makes , something a bit odd sounding through , does everyone have the timing chain problem?

      theres videos.. timeing extension .. its basically a hole with spring in it.. bar comes out.. too far and falls into engine gears,, and poof u sol.. add half inch to bar is upgrade lol .weld on .. do what u got to do.. like 5 videos on it.

    Just got a 05 savage 650! Was already in middle of bobber when dude sold it , all I need is a new carb ( dude broke wire off in jet ) I’ve got a peanut sportster tank and a tank off a Honda. Nighthawk in may use …love your videos brother one of the reason I got mine

    You can turn the battery 90 degrees and make a simple box to cover it. And a second box of the same size to put all the electronics in it and mount it beneath the relocated battery, Clean look. Really like what you have done wth the fender, currently doin a similar job on mine

    I just brought home a 2024 Kawasaki eliminator 500 , just rode it home and I have always rode dirt bikes and this thing is not the fastest thing but a lot of fun very easy to move around ! Safe riding and a very cool video

      ​@jonathanpagano1595 the only thing I wish it had was a fuel gage other then that it’s a very basic bike to learn on, no bells and whistles. Belt drive is nice low maintenance with that, get on and just enjoy the ride,

    Food for thought that at $750 buy-in for a bike that's worth twice that gives you a lotta money you can "dump" without going under water, IMHO. BTW, you should think about naming your bike "Chameleon" given all the color changes! LOL Welcome back and don't be a stranger!
