Thanks Rob for the video. I will say I wish the vegan outreach site for this vegan challenge Lincoln had a comprehensive list of the vegan offerings as each restaurant deals with their menus and websites differently - some are stand alone website and some are Facebook pages. There’s one participant from South Dakota and I can’t even tell where or when their offering will be available 🤔 I have other thoughts on the event which I’ve shared with you before on how existing vegan establishments are struggling and as local vegans we have to support those that support us and the animals. Thanks again!

1:44 Best question to ask a non-vegan. If they're against animal abuse and they're not vegan, they need to ask themselves WHY. Being against animal abuse means going vegan and staying vegan for the rest of our lives!

I was part of this event in Omaha called the Animal Agriculture Footage & Outreach on the corner of 61st and Maple Street. It consisted of using television screens to show onlookers the standard farming practices & processing of animals to be turned into food. I'm still surprised how much people do not know or understand about this topic, even though I shouldn't be, because psychologist Melanie Joy says "...people are not aware of how they have been deeply conditioned." After telling one bystander that I haven't eaten animals for 8 and 1/2 years, he proceeded to defend his choice to do so out of concern for "over population (animal)." He obviously was unaware almost all farmed animals are brought into existence by artificial insemination at the hands of humans and currently outnumber humans and wildlife; this intentional overpopulation of man-made animals is for sensory taste pleasures. There was a woman who told me she still eats fish because she has difficulty getting enough daily protein. I asked her how much protein she needs in a day and she answered with a low 20g. I know you can easily get 20g in one whole food plant-based meal. A gentleman from New York who made the comment "what's going on here... I have never seen anything like this" as he was viewing animals being killed. I felt like we could have been showing videos of people cutting into watermelons and it would not generate confusion. This leads me to believe the confusion is because the powerful animal agriculture industry makes dead animals look like food. A cow does not look like a burger. Pigs don't look like bacon etc. Nobody was comfortable with what they were viewing, so consider, peace beginning on your plate.

This makes me feel like a dork for complaining about being a paraplegic.
