Here in the Pittsburgh area or within a 20 mile radius, is there a place open to have the frame replaced? I have a Toyota Tacoma truck that needs to have its frame replaced.

What header is that ?

Curious to know how much that frame R&R cost. How long did it actually take the mechanic to do the swap, & would it have been cheaper to just buy a rust free truck? That is one hard working man. Sad part is, Toyota had a warranty on their frames for the 2005s for certain, & some owners just sat on it until it expired in 15 years- or 2020 deadline for a 2005 Tacoma.

Sadly Toyota made a deal with the American government so that the US would supply the frames. If they had used the Japanese frames this wouldn’t have happened as the steel was more superior in quality and protected properly.

I would have taken the trailer hitch out of the receiver sooner.

Amazing Work! I'm going through this with my 2006 Tacoma 4.0 V-6. I bought the truck in November of 2016. They said it passed the recall and put that Undercoating on it. After owning it for 2 years My mechanic showed me how bad it was getting I got in touch with Crestmont. They said the Recall is over. I have dealt withThe Toyota Engagement Center a few times they told me the same thing. Had the Truck in for a Transmission service last Friday. You can actually stick your finger through the chassis behind the front tires. I'm waiting for correspondence from Toyota Corporate. The truck is 17 years old with only 111,000 miles on it. I bought it a year after I retired hoping it would be my last purchase.Any impt from you on what I should do?

It took my Florida dealers 6 months and a free loaner car and $10,000 build sheet. I caught it 10 days before the offer expired. They tried arguing that it would cost a little bit of money I said no it won't cost me and they refused to change out my shocks of all things

Make sure to flush your entire brake fluid system clean and install the new fluid. Willwood sells a new updated since 2020 kit. As of last week, Summit Racing has the best price for the scion tc big brake kit.

Do NOT use the blue permatex/loctite. Do NOT use regular red loctite or permatex You must use red loctite/ permatex thread locker 2710 due to its higher heat and shock absorbing quality.
