WHAT WEATHER MOVIE SHOULD WE REACT TO NEXT?
I would love to see a case study on This year's Hurricane season and also 2022s.
2022 Was the first year I was really paying attention to "UA-cam" weather. As soon as I saw the low off the west coast of FL, I was down to 3 storms - Ian, Helene, Milton. Placement wasn't quite right in my brain for this years storms, so that left Ian. Plus the storm name was very small "black out."
I was wondering if how small the blacked out boxes over the hurricane’s name would give it away 🤣 well done!
Huricaine Ian
Yes!
Oh well, I got close enough fir government work
N/E Ohio checking in.. 6am alarm that morning 42* lite rain Arrived @ work 7:45 am Ford dealership west suburb of Cleveland About7:55 am Hurricane winds began Lite rain became blowing ice crystals. Thot service bay glass doors would blow in. By 8:15, the call was made NOT to open, everyone left for home. My 10 minute drive home lasted 35 minutes. Traffic lites were horizontal My 1973 Pontiac GrandAm was shaking, while debris striking the drivers door window. It then began blowing heavy snow, drifting EVERYWHERE. CB
This was a lot of fun to try to solve. I hope to see more of these videos :)
Definitely a hurricane, and based on the faxes, I'd say Helene
Hurricane Milton
Surprised I was right lol, was thinking it was Joplin because of the focus on SW Missouri and knowing that the tornado risk wasn't projected to be all that severe in Missouri and more focused on areas north. Thanks for putting this together!
Great detective work! You nailed it
going to give this a try as a guy who has taken one (1) meteorology course and seen a few YT videos: -nasty thunderstorms possible along the cold and occluded fronts of this low, particularly in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Missouri. This is a warm day, so the greatest precip risk is probably rain? Clearly potential for hail though, particularly in SW MO/NE OK. Loads of wind shear near the surface-I'd be worried about tornadoes. Tornado watch for parts of MO, IL, and IA, some kind of severe Tstorm watch for much of the rest of the midwest. Big time CAPE values are concerning. Just hazarding a guess, is this the Joplin tornado?
Clearly a hurricane about to strike peninsular Florida's west coast, and probably move northwards. Don't know enough about meterology to know which hurricane this is, but based on how close it's passing to the southern tip of Florida my guess is Ian? Helene had a similar north-south trajectory but iirc was a bit further to the west before coming in on the Big Bend, while this one seems like it's almost right on top of the Fort Myers area.
Hurricane Ian in 2022
The most intense and violent tornado outbreak on record for the history books
It's a hurricane that will hit Florida and because of the area affected i think it could be Hurricane Helene
Takes place in fall, hitting Fl or at least the Gulf Coast. It's a hurricane with an associated tornado risk.
A great forecast, detective! I wonder what the name of this hurricane could be?
I'm guessing Milton. This case has a strong tornado risk and in the same general area. Plus the hurricane looks like it is approaching the same general area of Florida. And watch me be wrong, lol.
Hurricane
Good start, detective! Which hurricane could this be?
Helene, Michael or Ian
My mind went to the Cone heads. 😂
Obviously ball lightning does shoot out at people at high speeds
Weather manipulation is real, just maybe sure does look like the US government has a lot of patents under airforce. Who knows....
New Meteorology Monday, lets get it!
I’d love to hear your take on Tucker Carlson’s latest insanity, that abortions causes hurricanes. Or MTG’s nonsense about the Biden administration controlling hurricane Milton to skew the election😂😂😂
None of that stuff is even remotely true.
@@utguy381 Of course its not, but plenty of people believe it. Which is depressing as hell.
@@utguy381 I'm well aware. I just though it would be hilarious to listen to Kayla and Jim make fun of it.
Oh the things we could say on this topic…that video might get us in trouble 😂 I’ll say this: how hilarious and ridiculous is it for people to go from “mEtEOroLoGisTs gET pAiD To BE wrOnG” to “they’re out here controlling the weather!” in the span of like 2 days? If we could control the weather, we would not only because it’d save lives, but to also stop hearing that all we do is “get paid to be wrong” lol
@@MeteoTechWx Yeah bro, it was supposed to go down to 67 here last night. What happenned - it only went down to 74!!! Conspiracy to keep S Florida warm!!!!!11 (no but really, we need a cold front already, thanks mother nature being ruined by humanity)
I like the new experimental cone product! Helps to see how expansive the impacts will be.
Exactly! Hope they keep building on this product because it's been super beneficial.
it doesnt matter if the tornadoes dont have the wall clouds in movies but its still a movie.
I am wanting to become a meteorologist, I am currently a high school senior, and have always loved weather. I was wondering some good study methods for both college and for things in math (physics, and calculus as my school is BAD and never taught us those things)
Actually, My birthplace saturia. All my childhood memories belongs to this village. Lots off love from deep off my heart. NewYorkCity.
I survived hurricane Beryl and it was insane
Yay, New video! Good video as always!
Yay! Beryl really highlighted the whole climate change effects on tropical weather.
Amazing content and very entertaining, keep up the amazing work!!
I think twisters is better but it came out as I was starting in Emergency Management
If the degree is a usa meteo degree without any double major, completely useless. They do not know math, they do not know physics, they are not engineers, they can look at pictures and can deduce some stuff anyone having a hobby on this can. Compare this with mech eng degree and you will see meteo degree is all mickey mouse tv showmanship. No wonder all important meteo papers are written by people who had an undergrad in a non-meteo department. They can appear on Tv and do baby talk. This, they can do.
You Americans managed to turn a sub-field of physics which actually requires a lot more math than just calc and odes into a Mickey Mouse field of TV showmanship and basically committed a sacrilege. Go check how many and how advanced math classes Taiwanese undergrads are taking. Your concept of meteo is just a soft thing, not science, not engineering. What you call calc 1 Europeans learn in highschool. Meteorology is physics which means even if you do not apply on everyday basis, you need to learn a lot more physics, electromag theory etc. For you radar meteorology is just looking at pictures with an elementary-school level of description of electromag waves. Good that Americans did not commit the same sacrilege in engineering. I know that this channel means well and wants to inform people, do not take it personally, my criticism is the US attitude of turning a science into an entertainment and calling the dismal level of math and physics they require "high level".
HAARP, much ?
I plan on working at the NWS when I get a career!
Jesus loves you!
This year (2024) marks the 98 years since the first and (so far) only EF4 or EF5 tornado event in Paraguay. It was 1926 in the southern city of Encarnación, well into the South American Tornado Alley. It has been really hot the whole day and by dusk a storm system approached from the South. The tornado touched in the river and entered through the dock area of the old city. The winds are estimated to have been of around 250 Km/H, with 300 people losing their lives. Keep in mind that cities in Paraguay were very scarcely populated in the early 20th century. I heard horrific stories from that event: they said that, because most homes had their roofs made of cheap zinc sheets, many of the deaths occurred as they would come flying into people and striking them. Other older houses would be made of mud and their walls simply melted due to the heavy rains and extremely fast winds, with entire structures falling onto people.
You both are very talented as comedians…😂
When you look at the ship scene at the beginning of your review, and the way the ship hit the dockside, it would have probably breached most of the hull on that side, so it would never have been allowed to sail. The NTSB would have been all over it in no time.
This video was boring
The next weather movie has to include haarp and aliens
Hey guys what about doing a video or stream on Milton?
Would love to but unfortunately just don’t have the time :(
