This video is quite long as I did not want to edit certain parts so you can see in real time. If you are using version 20240314 of JELOS, you might be out of luck. I was only able to connect using 20231230

Finally Found My Retro Game Solution | End Game |
I finally got the Mini HDMI to HDMI cable for my RGB30. I had installed that last / latest build of JelOS (Feb or March 2024) and Bluetooth won’t pair my SN30 controller in handheld mode. It only paired for me after I connected it with the HDMI to my TV. Went through the process with it shown on my tv and it connected perfectly. I guess each version of CFW makes the device work differently. Thanks for the video - hope my comment helps others with the same issue.
That’s not a lot of controllers 😂
it begins
There's plenty of cheap loose condition retro games, so buying a few would be NP. You don't need to go deep into it, just get them hooked up with some random games that catch your interest and enjoy. Playing the originals on the OG system with a CRT is a vibe, so if you can, why not.
if i was a collector, i'd only go for complete in box games. but sadly that has become too expensive and difficult at this point. the only important thing is to have a CRT, that's a must. the games can be emulated or saved on flash carts.
I got around 800 -1000 retro games. Honestly I prefer emulation on my SteamDeck over original console now. Why? - Convince - Save States, Space in the house, Save time, complete games due to save states. - IMO steamDeck controller feels nice.
Just hook them up and buy a few games. Trust me bro.... Youll be happy you did
Yes get in it before it gets really expensive. Most stuff now isn't to bad but I think it's going to shoot up over the next few years. I been collecting and loving being able to play stuff from back in the day
Short answer: NO, you should not! It´s just a waste of time, money and nerves. At the end of the day, what for, just to show off? So you can share pictures of your collection or whatever with the internet, just to get some desperate confirmation on how cool your room looks like from people that also collect? Don´t be a manchild. Besides and again in regards to the upcoming costs, it´s absolutely bonkers, it was expensive 15-20 years ago when that Retro-Scene exploded and it´s even more expensive now. Leave that stuff where it is. And if you still want to get into that scene or whatever do yourself a favor and only invest in modified consoles´n everdrives. You can get them Rom´s/Iso´s very VERY easily via web. But hey, if you still want to carry on with it? Heh, off you go. . .
This hdmi out feature is awesome!
Awesome!
Ot would be interesting to see it from someone who isn't familiar with them. I don't play any games or have any consoles, but id be interested in doing the same.
Short answer: YES! Long answer: Only if you have about $5000+ USD set aside for a decent "authentic" collection. If you want to spend less than $5000, then you should get into homebrew carts made for those aftermarket consoles, which brings me back to $5000+ mark. An Analogue Mega Sg and the Analogue Super Nt will be running you above $500+ in the market right now. Good thing about those are they connect natively HDMI and upscale output to 1080p (so no expensive dongle/adapters needed). Both of those Analogue consoles support NTSC (US / JAP) and PAL formats (so no weird modding/soldering needed). Getting a Sega Saturn is np at all, but you also get what you pay for. If you spend under $200, you will most likely get one on life-support and being packaged and shipped by someone's aunt trying to get rid of their nephews "junk". Also, Saturn consoles aren't expensive, but you will pay premium for any of their game discs that aren't scratched up and beaten up cases/boxes. I'd say, invest in an Analogue Mega Sg and a Super Nt, and a Sega Saturn MK-80000. For the Mega Sg and Super Nt, get those multi-cart games, but get multiple versions of them, as some ROMs on one cart might not work, but would work on the other, and vice-versa with all the other games. For the Saturn, get that Black All-In-One Pseudo Kai cart and also a Saroo cart w/ 128Gb micro SD. After that, you should be set to be well on your way with that full Retro-experience, at a fraction of the cost of actually collecting each "authentic" one by one.
HA i love the short answer, for now my short-term goals are to get the SMS and NES to add to the other consoles. I'm not even really sure that i will play them much on real hardware as I do have a Mister now and love it. My dilema at the moment is do i want to mod or upgrade the existing consoles i have to RGB + SD carts or just leave them be as stock eye-candy more than anyting. I agree the buying game carts is really going down a $$ rabbit hole and at this point its just to satisfy a personal itch. I would really love orginal box systems but those seem to be x3 the price.....appreciate your advice i didn't even know about the Mega Sg as i am kind of noob to all this!
@@MrMyBub My man, I would not mod any of the consoles you have shown in this vid or the ones you are talking about now. These consoles were made for composite video on a crt. Get yourself a small to mid size crt and plug those composite cables in. Look up videos about dithering on the sega genesis and ps1 for one small example of why to not rgb mod these consoles. As for controllers, Retro bit makes great controllers for these consoles that are basically the originals but not mushy. Use them or any other third party
This also works on RockNix OS, i just tested mine and it works. The only issue is that if you want to disconnect your controller and use the console buttons, you will need to reset the entire console. Other than that, it works.
Can you connect 2 consoles together on 2 hdmi monitors? for 2 player fun?
Can you use it for ps4?
How does it compare to playing SF2 on Groovymame?
can it connect to TWS Bluetooth?
나는 왜 블루투스가 연결이 안될까?
Next game for you. Elden Ring for sure. It loves you and will hold your hand the whole way. Definitely my favorite way of decompressing after A hard Day's work.
It's okay! This game is not for everyone. I, on the other hand, loved getting lost and searching every nook and cranny in each quadrant of the map. Somehow, I had more luck than you did and didn't hit any brick wall. By the way, you get the Power Bomb upgrade much later in the game. And you open that green door with a super missile (but I believe you already know that). Hope you go back to this game soon!
yeah i really think i need to be in the mood to back and forth , lately that has not been the case but overall i like the game 90's platformers are prob my favorite.
Yes I too can feel the difference playing on the mister compared to on software emulators. That goes even for simple stuff like typing and programming on the computer cores as well. I’ve been laughed at when saying this before, but there is a difference that somebody who hasn’t played around with it won’t understand. On several games (like Gran Turismo, Rage Racer etc on the psx) I can perform noticeably better on the mister than even on the best emulators on my higher end gaming laptop. The difference is clearly there. I love emulation, but this is a level up.
i mapped a ps4 controllers and mapped it as you shown but when its in game, the abxy button (in snes) and shapes button (ps) just messed up. do you know whether theres any way to fix it?
The purple or white color looks better, the yellow looks plain ugly. Also ypu wasted selecting all the poqerupa for thay first stage, thays why yoy were at the default bomb blast radius for the 2kd syage.
Thanks for the video! Glad it’s not just me! I’m new to it all. How do you roll back to the Dec 23 version?
you can download the older image file from archive.org and flash it to sd card. search for JELOS RK 3566.aarch 64 20231220
@@MrMyBubcool, thank you!
I’m really wondering if 4 controllers can work at once (preferably wireless). Would be wild to use all 4 players for X-men or TMNT arcade beatdowns!
Can you use wired controller? It seems to detected by device but it cannot power it up correctly? Have you tried this before?
Hell yeah, mate. Welcome to the club. I have a Mister set up for running offline fighting game tournaments and for personal enjoyment but even without SNAC stuff every USB thing I throw at it just works. It's amazing for less tech savvy like you and me and now I can't live without mine even if I payed a high price for it.
Can you use the hot key for save game with 8bitdo sn30 ?
Controller
Where can I buy
I wonder if you can connect this device to a tv then connect two controllers and play.. I want to play the games with my son this is why I'm asking this or maybe you can connect one controller with cable through the otg and then second one with bluetooth, if you have seperate controller can you try and let me know? If two bluetooth is possible it way better for me :) Thank you for the video :)
Yes you can connect 2 bluetooth controllers, just remember that i am using the old build so i would install that if you can. I have not much luck with the latest version of jelos & bluetooth
The "update hdmame-gerrer" script does not work, it gives a 404 error. What should I do?
not using that one , where did you get it
I was going to ask you to do this since you have 2. Thanks
Hi can you please show how to connect the bluetooth controller?
its a pain , hit and miss but will do a vid.
Play some Pico-8 games.
whats the best video tutorial that shows how to do everything with this (because im def not tech savvy) even if its off of youtube just so you can see how they set it all up lol
i think it was one from lu's retro source that i mostly watched for the basics. Its really pretty easy once you get the update_all script. I transfer all my roms using Ftp cause i hate removing the sdcard and such
Now there are also purple, green and peach
Direct video will do exactly what you want. It’s basically a hdmi to vga adaptor that you can adapt into component for a crt. Svideo and composite are also possible but it needs another convertor box.
I did read a bit on this and intend to try it out as soon as i find a table or something to put this crt on.thanks
Where'd you get the kickstand? Thanks.
just a regular cellphone kickstand
@@MrMyBub Could you provide a link, please ?

The first Miyoo Mini has no wifi. So out of luck there.
i planned on collecting three colors but knowing powkiddy it'll never drop in price like the rgb20 🤣
Yeah , they know they hit with this one.

I think the screen size and ratio is just genious for a handheld emulator. Good video!
Does this play GameCube?
No, it is not enough powerfull. I have one.
yeah not GC..maybe next version! but errr maybe not
In retroarch settings for game boy you should turn on LCD ghosting in interpolation, put on LCD3x shader and change the pallete to Special 1. It looks so good and really feels like OG gameboy
I will try it !
Amazing console though, prob best ever made so far
Agreed , so far rgb30 - although I want to get my hands on the x55 or the next gen version
