What hypocrite Dayspring is! I limit myself to 50 grams of carbs and that puts me in Ketosis, especially with a 4-6 hr eating window. 50 grams of above ground, non-starchy veg for most LMHRs is absolutely keto. If he’s so concerned about APOB or LDL go eat a sleeve of Oreo cookies. I hear that works better than statins.

The funny irony is he is obese and insulin resistant which puts him at far greater risk of an MI than if he were to go low carb and become insulin sensitive and I would much rather be a LMHR than obese and insulin resistant like him

Dr Theo forgot to mention that many autistics have oppasite reactions to antihistamines. Its unfortunately very common. Like if its supposed to make you sleepy it will actually make you wide awake. It did that to me. And Benadryl made the whole inside of my throat numb the one time I tried it. A simple cough drop not only made my jaw swollen but it actually gave me coughing jags each time I took one! And its a very bad idea to give someone meds for high blood pressure to treat a behavior issue. Like my blood pressure at home is often 105/65 and once at the doctor it was 100/60. You cannot put such a person on a med for high blood pressure. That would be very irresponsible. Would only have paradoxical reactions anyway. I have the skin writing.

Hello; I am looking for some good news hopefully or at least accurate education. I just found out last week that my Lp(a) is 470 nmol/L. Apo B was 1.45 g/L. My blood pressure is low 90’s over 60’s normally and I have had two angiograms in the past 12 years (during ventricular tachycardia and mitral valve replacement surgery). The doctor said my coronary arteries are pristine! I am a 58 year old female 5’6”, 139 lbs, exercise daily (walking + HIIT 3x per week). I think my diet is decent. HbA1c is 5.6-5.9… I have been told I have very low fat tolerance so am aiming to lose 10 more pounds mostly by reducing carbs other than fruits and vegetables. I am hoping someone can suggest what I should be doing about the Lp(a) or the level of worry I should have. The internet gives conflicting information- from such a high value being a death sentence to needing to lower LDL with statins (but statins will raise Lp (a) and HbA1c) to it is actually genetically protective for wound healing and cancer and the only problem comes with a poor modern lifestyle causing inflammation in the arteries and then excessive Lp(a) going to heal them causes clots and blockages etc. If I know what to do (evidence based) I do it. Right now I don’t know what to do. Any advice or science based broad perspective information you can point me to would be really appreciated. I see my cardiologist sometime in January and am hoping to be properly informed on the latest accurate information in order to make good decisions with her. Thank you.

I have huge problems with salicylates, oxalates, histamine/DAO, mold, MTHFR, COMT, SAMe, and on and on. There is almost nothing I can eat that doesn't cause some kind of issue: crashes, gastro, intense itching, facial breakouts. I had a 123&Me genetic test done in 2017 and there are a lot of SNP issues. For about 25 years I was taking Naproxen 325mg for about 7-10 days each month for debilitating Endometriosis pain. I never had allergies in my life until about 5 years after starting the Naproxen. I was told by a couple of naturopaths that I had leaky gut and most likely it was caused by the NSAID. Do you have a video(s) that address this type of issue? There are so many layers to the problem, that I have given up trying to find a solution as my body seems to reject everything I try 😞

Folate is methylated around 18 thousand times per day and in that process it is converted back and forth from DHF to methylfolate so taking methylated form wont save you and in general it doeasnt make a difference unless you are folate deficent. If you have hard time remathylating homocysteine back to methionine just take more choline and you may want to suplement creatine to lower your methylation demand.

@@Jack-hy1zq just look at methylation of folate and fact that its doing circles and everytime you need to go through mthfr gene which is dependent on b2 and you can easly find study about that and second of all look how much methyldonor you are providing with 0.5mg-1mg-2mg of folate in comparison to lets say 500mg of choline or 1-2g of betaine which are much better source of methyldonor and can lower homocysteine much better and safer. And it was also shown that mthfr was only a problem for people with low b2 status because in their cases b2 on its own lowered homocysteine by 20-40% in dose of 3mg which is incredible

I would try creatine, its counterintuitive but it worked in my case, if you have mutation that slows your creatine synthesis then your body will overmethylate because it doeasnt have feedback signal that it has enough of it and if you take in account that creatine synthesis is around 40-70% of all methylation then there is huge potential for overmethylation if you have enough SAM-e in your system. Even if you have problem lets say with BHMT which is another pathway for remthylation of homocysteine then creatine will still help

THE ANTIQUATED TAKE THAT IF YOU EAT CHOLESTEROL YOUR BODY MAKES LESS IS ABSOLUTE NONSENSE! THIS IS WHY HEART DISEASE IS THE NUMBER ONE KILLER!

  • @3zm0d3RL

F, the problem with forest fires isn't just the presence of wood, just as the problem with heart disease isn't solely high LDL cholesterol. While wood is a necessary component for a fire, other factors like drought, human activity, and weather conditions play crucial roles. Similarly, heart disease is influenced by a variety of factors, including inflammation, genetics, diet, and lifestyle. It's important to consider the complexity of these issues rather than oversimplifying them. Just as we need a nuanced understanding of forest fires, we need a comprehensive approach to understanding heart health that goes beyond just focusing on LDL cholesterol. This means looking at other risk factors and considering the role of overall lifestyle and diet, including the evolutionary aspects of human biology.

In the big whole interview he also points out that a) you have to look at a person individually, b) unless one has some dysfunction like familial dyslipidimia or one is a hyperabsorber of cholesterol, one's organism is perfectly capable of getting rid of cholesterol in the food, so plaque doesn't come directly from what you eat. There must be some circumstances. And yes, unless you overeat fat or eggs immensely. But overeating can lead to health problems on any diet.

I also had really bad experciences with weed as a teenager and I think that was one of the causes of my anxiety nowdays. its like it woke up the anxiety tendency. I also was a vegetarian since my teens and that could have made me more anxious..

My doc has increased my statin to 40mg and still, it remains high....BP is stable with BPmed. I have cut dairy (Lost 12.5 lbs.) and limited beef to 2x a month, eat oatmeal, legumes and Veg 3-4 x week. I do not eat processed foods at all. Lost 12.5 lbs. Had a calcium screen and little to no plague visible and passed all of my cardio and sonogram tests. Before doc wanted to put me on statin I fought her and took bergamot for 8 months in the hopes it would assist me with getting my numbers in range, It did not, then I read taking bergamot before cholesterol is high is most beneficial not after the fact. I think I need the genetic panel done, Im tired of trying to second-guess all of this and plead with a doctor for testing they don't want to do.

Most people absorb little added dietary cholesterol because their baseline dietary cholesterol intake is already high. People who have little or no cholesterol in their existing diets will probably absorb quite a fair bit of cholesterol if eggs or other high cholesterol foods are added to their diets. This was known many decades ago. That's why the egg industry 'research' centre keeps funding studies of people eating standard American diets (already high in cholesterol) which show that if you add eggs to their diet, their blood cholesterol levels do not increase much iff at all.

Best treatment for atherosclerosis: Vitamin C Why do only coronary arteries clog with cholesterol and not veins or small capillaries? Scurvy = No vitamin C in your diet. Symptom: Your blood vessels break and you bleed to death. Think of the sailor of the past. Scurvy of the heart = Just enough vitamin C from food. Symptom: Arteries around the heart are not strong enough to resist high blood pressure. Damage is repaired with cholesterol LP(a) to prevent worse. After years of repair, your arteries become clogged. Enough vitamin C supplement of at least 3000 mg. per day gives strong and flexible arteries. Cholesterol is not needed as a repair agent. Cholesterol in your coronary arteries is broken down and burned in your liver.
