'59 Junior Guitar Build----Pipeline (JT version cover)
Slide show of the '59 Les Paul Junior I built with Johnny Thunders in mind. I used to own a '59 LP jr. in the 90's (Cherry red finish), but had to sell at a time when I needed the money. When I decided to make my own, I didn't want to copy his TV yellow version, so I made something that I thought looked cool as a tribute. All guitars in audio track recorded with this guitar.

Love it.

Simplemente hermoso ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fantastic. One of my favourite pieces, we lost him way too young.
Must be a rare song
I remember it being on the Testcard E.P. which was available in the States on import at the time www.discogs.com/release/239689-Young-Marble-Giants-Testcard-EP
ok
Criminally underrated
The world is chock full of souls desperately trying to be noticed, recognized but with little too nothing new to say. It's like going to an art exhibit and all the paintings are similar. Most so-called "artists" could do more good driving a garbage truck.
Rest in peace Mickey Ronson one of my favorites hope the Hollywood vampires get back together.
😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍
One of the holy trinity of slide players. Elmore, JB, and Hound dog.
Im a fan number one of Calt, hes musica i its wanderful,😆🙂
Klassick....
I was fortunate to see J B here in Birmingham, UK in early '70s. Together with a local pick-up band - just bass and drums - he gave one of the most fantastic blues performances I've witnessed in 50 years of going to gigs. Absolutely fabulous....🤗🤗
Bet you also saw Black Sabbath and Zeppelin too. Lucky fellow!
@@SpiritusMundi4EVER I saw early BS when they were (still) known as Earth. Also Robert Plant was on at the same venue - Henrys Bluehhouse in Birmingham - one night as a 'guest'. That was less than 12 months before I first saw LZ on an early - first - TV appearance. I wasn't a fan of either, much preferring the 'original' blues men that were still touring Europe in those days...👍👍
@@frank7611 you're killing me, sir. I totally understand your love for the early blues guys though. It all goes back to them as well as the country&western fellas. You can tell your grandkids you saw all the greats!

dolorio y los tunantes haciendo de las suyas
Rory Gallagher brought me here.
God bless JB Hutto's soul. His music is still helping people in a positive way on this side. Peace.🕊
Singer's name is Rod Taylor... I am endeavouring to ascertain the name of his vocal version to this riddim.
There may not be a released original . Here's a quote from Rod on his collaboration with Linval Thompson on the song "Moving Out Ever", who was most likely the producer of this riddim: "Moving Out Ever was for the album but he never put it out. I don't know why but when I would see him sometimes he told me that he lost the tape! There were 14 songs - big big songs. Some of them Scientist used on his dub albums where you can hear Rod Taylor's voice and know that is Rod Taylor but all these songs we cannot find the tape! The tapes disappeared. But the same thing happened with Sugar Minott. I did an album for Sugar Minott and he said he couldn't find the tape! Either someone stole the tape or he lost the tape! And there is a tape missing from when I did an album with Tubbys too! I voiced some songs for Tubbys and we cannot find the tape. Three tapes, three Rod Taylor albums missing! Bad bad albums!" Here's a link to that article: unitedreggae.com/articles/n1044/072212/interview-ten-big-tunes-with-rod-taylor
Many thanks for the information...
First heard this on Pandora almost a decade ago. Takes me back when I light up
you mean light up some 420?
takes me back to the rum runner birmingham
heavy riddim - love this tune. anyone know the vocal cut of this? All I can find is another dub ua-cam.com/video/hrS_uOWQY-8/v-deo.html
I found a vocal cut with Ranking Joe doing toaster style vocals, but there is someone else doing some crooning in the middle, so it might be an older song by that person: ua-cam.com/video/svtGgPTHz0E/v-deo.html The usual suspects that worked with Roots Radics are Linval Thompson, Barrington Levy, Freddie McGregor, Prince Far I, Al Campbell and Barry Brown. There's also a Dub directory to help find the original songs the dubs were made from: www.dubdirectory.de/index.htm
@@markhdz7858 Thanks!! Didn't know the ranking Joe cut :) The voice you can hear in the middle sounds like it might be Barry Brown to me ... I'll keep searching! Also thanks for the DubDirectory link (but it just has '???' for this riddim though)
@@MisterrTom Here's another cut: ua-cam.com/video/WON4FwTmtTY/v-deo.html from supposedly a pirated album (Canadian Label) with King Tubby's mix. Linval Thompson is credited with the song so if there is an original vocal version, he must be at least the producer and possibly singer with Roots Radics as backing. It sounds like a Greensleeves thing to me. Let me know if you find it.
Really world?...this tune is so frickin' cool.
joli!!!!
Natty dread ah weh she want😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love this!
Anybody know why this song is called "Curacao"?
It's a type of alcohol I believe. And the name of a country. Its probably to do with the country. I don't know, I just discovered this song 2 minutes ago.
@@pottymouthstudios9889 There is a Curaçao folkloric music rhythm called "Tumba" which definitely seems like the basis for this Tjader composition and which currently also serves as inspiration for contemporary jazz pianists such as the Curaçao native Randall Corsen. Good, intricate stuff.
Cal was in the Navy so it may have been one of his stops. As you can see, he was spent time in the Philippines by a few of his song titles.
This song kicks so much fucking ass
The arrangement and Anita's approach have allowed this to age very well.
Right in there with the best of be-bop. I'm guessing this is originally done post-WW II, 1946 or therafter. Pure gold. God bless you, Wardell!
Probably my favorite non-Parker riff, recorded 1949. The fact it became a vocalese song for Annie Ross a few years later is crazy. He died young, mysterious circumstances, possibly murdered----a terrible waste.
One of the best fantastic
