It's great to see someone mention Nail'd, I loved that on the 360! I need to play that again.

Yeah, it's a shame that a lot of people will miss out because it's PS-only. I don't know if there'll ever be a sequel, but I really hope Vanillaware build on the formula for a cross-platform audience.

Certainly a great game, but it's more a sim than an arcade game. Geoff Crammond has done a hell of a lot for the industry.

I know what you mean - the muscle car-type vehicles in particular are very 'drifty', it takes a bit of getting used to.

It's all about context. You can currently buy FlatOut 4, with DLC, for 60p/$0.60. It's a decent investment for that sort of money.

But for a quickfire arcade racer that costs as little as $0.60 today, especially when so many people have been struggling with the cost of living, it will still be worth a look for many.

That's a fair point. Evolution Studios eventually more or less mastered arcade racing across MotorStorm and Drive Club. I'd be delighted to see either make a comeback, if a suitable new developer could be found.

All decent games you mention there, and I've covered many of them in previous videos. But I maintain that both Moto Racer 4 and FlatOut 4 - with a combined cost just recently of under £2/$2 - are well worth a look for arcade fans. Thanks for commenting and watching!

I absolutely loved the Destruction Derby games. They really felt like they had heft and the graphics were excellent for the time. Wreckfest really builds on that raw gameplay and I cannot wait to see the sequel in action. And V-Rally! Excellent. I used to play that with friends using a cheap, ropey steering wheel and pedals I built into a bedside cabinet for 'authenticity'. Great memories.

Hello! Alley Cat? Woah, you're taking me back now! I haven't seen that game anywhere for decades. I'd love to see some more feline action in games. Stray wasn't bad - bit short and basic in the end - but another cat-based platformer along the lines of Sly Raccoon could work well.

I take your point. Super Woden GP 2 is slightly more manageable than the original, but it does slide a fair bit. I think the developers worry that the handling won't be any fun if the cars grip too hard, but I agree that at least certain vehicle types could hold the road a bit better.

Not quite. The version I'm covering is from 2017, but it's been completely overlooked by many people. The price regularly crashes to sub-£1/$1, so it's definitely worth a look.
