30 minutes in and I've had enough of trying to reconcile the characters with the uploader's description. Turns out the uploader provided cast and plotline from some other movie. George Raft is John Torno, Virginia Mayo is Carla North, Raymond Burr is Nick Cheney. Nick Cherney, a trusted employee, embezzles funds from trucking-company owner John Torno and is sent to prison. Seeking revenge, he pays Rocky, another convict about to be released, to kill John's brother Jess, an Army-chaplain priest just returned from Pacific war duty. Jess, shot in a hotel room, dies in the arms of his brother, gasping that the answer to his killing lies in the Bible. Torno, finally realizing that Jess meant the Gideon Bible which had been in his hotel room but has disappeared, sets out to find the Bible and the killer and avenge his brother's death.

Well, if you can get past the melodramatic beginning and the religious stuff, it may turn out to be a movie. But I doubt it and left.

Uh, Civil War? Knee length dress, others looked like they were from 1900. Shine on Harvest Moon playing- written in 1908? Other music sounded like something from ther 30s or 40s early on. If you're going to do a period piece, choose a period. Had to leave early on.

However, she watched helplessly as the fire ravaged the main building of the castle on the night of 30 to 31 August 1968. To preserve this important heritage site, the Baroness created the Hautefort Castle Foundation, which was recognized as being of public utility in 1990. The patronage of Michel David-Weill, nephew of the Baroness de Bastard, and his wife Hélène, both great collectors, was decisive in the restoration and preservation of Hautefort.

What a CUTE Movie…That Young Lady Mary Astor was BEAUTIFUL…

A good movie. High quality print too - no scratches/blurs topped off by a great audio track. Hard to believe the movie was made 89 years ago. It was nice to see Mary Astor. Can't say that I liked the story; I'm sure many wives would agree. Nonetheless, the acting was superb. Linda Darnell's costume at the nightclub scene was a knockout as well as Linda herself. I always thought she was one of Hollywood's best actresses. Thank you for a wonderful upload.

This might clarify the final scenes in which rout of the Turkish army is shown. As shown in the opening screen, the setting is WWI, when Turkey was aligned with Germany. Turkey was then controlling the Ottoman Empire which included Arab countries. The Arabs (and Lawrence of Arabia) were fighting the Turks. At that time, Istanbul was called Constantinople.
