This is how I ran and installed my Acrylic LED Strips. I used a micro2 fuse tap and used the POWER fuse slot (cigarette lighter) and grounded to the chassis inside the left side behind the dashboard. link to light strips used: Acrylic Interior Car LED Strip Light with Wireless APP, RGB Dreamcolor 6 in 1 with 175 inches 593 LEDs Fiber Optic Ambient Lighting Kits, 16 Million Colors Sound Active F...

Thank you. But did you considering that the fuse tap it is for 20amp CKT max. I have a question did you or someone know wath fuse it is or worksimilar to Dome ligths. I try to found the fuse for diurn light or the short ligth but I think that are controlled by a module not a fuse. I need a fuse socket that turn off when the car it is off byt come life when open the door locks.
Isn't a 25 amp fuse a little too much? I feel like a 10 amp would suffice.
The 25amp fuse is only for the original circuit that powers the cigarette lighter sockets. The fuse tap adds an additional circuit in which I used a 5 amp fuse for the lights.
Yes, You did nice but carefully. Qnfmd thank you for show to us. Grate job. But did you considering that the fuse tap it is for 20amp CKT max.
@@javiergonzalez6920 I did NOT consider that 0_0 but that is a really important point to bring up, thank you for that heads up! I may have to swap mine out then.
What fuse did you tap into?
The power socket fuse (20amp). It's the cigarette lighter socket basically. I used a 5amp fuse for the lights and put the 20 amp fuse in the slot in line with the wire
Hey dude, thanks a lot for this video! I was the one who asked for it and I really appreciate it a lot. You've gained a new follower!! Keep it up, and btw that looks really OEM.
Thank you! Glad I could help!
Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure! Hope this cleared things up!
@@b4iwakegamingdid you everinstall the doors? I'm wondering what wires you tap into on those
@@TheComplainingRanter no not yet, but I spoke with a friend of mine who is very handy with this sort of thing and he said the best idea would probably be to use the power to the door switches as they light up when the car is on. We just don't see them light up during the daytime, but they should be on anyway. Once we do that, I will try to film the whole process so I can be as detailed as possible.
@@b4iwakegaming I appreciate it. I will buy a volt meter this weekend and try and tackle it as well

thank you for this. i was able to do it myself because of your video. appreciate you so much 🙏
Does the sub controllers have extra connections to connect another strip to the sub controller ?
They have 4 connectors for each sub controller. One side has one plug where you connect the provided power wires and the other side can accomodate 4 light strips.
Hey bro nice vid!! But could you please make a video explaining about the wiring and the connection that you did to power the main box? I would be so grateful!
Yes I can
@@b4iwakegaming Thx!! I'll appreciate it a lot
@@Sorfor_ I apologize for the wait, the last few weekends were very busy and also the weather was not too good for the video I plan to post. I'll be going over the wiring tomorrow and you can all expect a little bit more detail about how I wired this up. Hopefully that will help!
The video is up!
Great info. I'm installing these in a 2024 tucson limited. Hopefully I can find all the power wires and complete this successfully 😂
This weekend I'll be uploading another video showing how I wired mine up. Should help!
Hey man have you successfully done it? I'm nervous about how to properly wire it on a 2022 Tucson

I bought the same kit so do i need to buy fuse taps also?
I recommend you do, makes it a lot easier to install
I bought micro2 fuse taps. Here is the link to the ones I bought. Gebildet 4pcs 12V-24V Add-a-Circuit Micro2 Fuse Tap, Piggy Back Blade Fuse Holder with Wire Harness, 6 pcs Micro 2 Fuse (5A 10A 15A) and Fuse Puller a.co/d/e2K0AiT
@@b4iwakegaming i have to tap into my cigarette lighter so im not sure if those would work.
@@masonhoare4203 I tapped into the cigarette lighter fuse in my car, everything works just fine
What car do you have?
You have to connect it to your radio? Or can you plug it into a simple usb?
it doesn't come with a usb plug, it comes with a black and red wire that has a plug that goes into the control box of the light kit. You would have to either add a usb plug or you can use a fuse tap to put the red wire in and then I just drilled a hole into a metal part behind the dashboard and put a nut and bolt there and then crimped a ring terminal onto the black wire and grounded it to the nut and bolt.
Can you connect them?
you can only plug one light strip into each port in the controller box. You can not connect two strips together, maybe if you splice them but you wont need to do that, they are all synchronized with each other once they are all plugged in.
Did you use the long strip with the 2 power connection one on each side? And did you cut one off?
The long strip only has one connector on one side. I did shorten it by cutting the strip itself to fit the proper length, but I ran the wire from the right side of the dash, not the left side. Wire went through the pass through behind the console up behind the glove compartment and through the inside of the bracket behind the clipped in panel on the right side dashboard. The wire is not visible at all.
@@b4iwakegamingwhat phone app did you download for some reason my kit didn’t include the app to download
@@takoathomas7266 should have a QR code on the master control box for you to download. It automatically pairs to your phone when you scan it and download i believe
@@takoathomas7266 but it's called Magic Lantern
Where did you get the ground wire ? Also how many main controllers did you use
Where did I put it? When you open the driver side plastic panel that you pop open, you'll see a metal bracket up top, I drilled into that and bought a bolt and nut with a locking washer and I crimped a ring terminal on the ground wire, then put it on that bolt and locked it in with the nut. I only used the main controller for all the dashboard lights. You may need to use the smaller ones in each door and you'll have to wire that to the electric inside the door. I havent done the doors yet but when I do I'll put another video up while I install them so I can show you all what I connected to.
The ground wire came with the kit. Red and black wires with a plug that goes into the controller
Was the 6 -1 kit enough to do the front and back doors ?
Yes but you have to wire the doors using the wires inside them to power everything, I dont believe the length of wire that comes in the kit is long enough to wire each door directly to the master control unit. I havent done my doors yet since I'm going to have a very handy friend do it for me. But the kit is enough for the main part and side piece of the dashboard AND 4 doors.
Thank you, I have an Elantra so I should see the same things that you are seeing. Question tho, when you tapped into the fuse box is there anything you have to disconnect before attaching the wires or should it go straight in. Thank you
Nope I just removed the power socket fuse and then put it into the fuse tap along with the new fuse (I believe the power socket fuse goes on the side that is closest to the prongs and the new fuse goes in line with the wire (furthest slot from the prongs). I pushed with some force and it fit right in there.
Just edited my comment to be a little more specific
Thanks for the video 😊
I wish I could've taken off all the trim again to show everyone a bit better but I was all alone for this lol
