Young Couple Converts an Old School Bus into a BEAUTIFUL Tiny Home | Amazing Skoolie Dream Home
We are a young couple that decided to convert an old school bus into a beautiful tiny home. We started with skoolie demolition by pulling out bus seats. Then we painted the bus floor and removed all of the windows to start getting ready for the roof raise.
We continued by cutting the bus in half. Then we lifted the roof and started welding. Later, we added New Skoolie Side Panels. The next part was tough. We had to finish the school bus roof transition. From there, finished the rear of the skoolie and started rebuilding the rear door. Next, we had to paint the school bus.
We bought some epoxy primer and started priming the skoolie and getting it ready to paint. Then we started spray painting a skoolie and added RV Windows.
We built a Cedar front door from scratch, then we moved to the interior of the bus. We added a subfloor and water tank. We used spray foam to insulate the bus, and added walls. We finished the skoolie office first. Then we moved to the Cozy Skoolie Bedroom and the beautiful Skoolie Bathroom. Finally we finished the Charming Skoolie Kitchen.

cuanto va a pesar al finalizarlo? el costo del combustible en cada viaje es inviable
Hi. Like the work, but I have to ask, when you placed the solar panels on the roof, did ye put any sealant, silicone, or anything on the screw holes before screwing them down? From watching the vid, it didnt seem so. I hope im wrong
Hopefully, you guys are building the bus and do something awesome and please leave the back door in the front right side door on and all the tail lights and headlights that the bus has on it in case of emergency
Beautiful!
All that petroleum that it’s going to take to fill up the tank wow! 😂
I would have loved to done a project in the UK on a smaller scale your skills are phenomenal I would love to have just half of them and be 40 years younger 😂
This is minister Ford again. I enjoyed your clips. You did a fantastic job. It was so much work involved in it. I didn't realize it but you have a wonderful product. Hope you have safe travels. You and your family praying for you always.
Thank you so much! Your prayers are appreciated!
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, you did a wonderful job with your bus. I enjoyed looking at all of your clips. I wish you the best and safe travel praying for you.
You going to put all that beautiful work in a school bus and how many miles per gallon 5 ? And how good is the engine and the mileage is it worth it. Gas is up IJS. Great job fixing it up 👏.
Nice 👍
Definitely have practical buil ding experience in all aspects
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
This wasnt just a young couple doing this they had help from a lot of friends and maybe family that knew what they were doing and how to do things right. I hate when the thumb nail makes like the two of them alone did it. Not everyone has that help and it should say that but they need click bate obviously or they wouldve young couple and others that helped MOSTLY.
You’re clearly bitter about something else. If you watch our other videos, you’ll see our friends that helped, and we were grateful for the help. They helped when they could, but the project also moved forward when they weren’t present. We did more than 95%, and our friends would proudly attest to that. I hope you find some happiness in life, because life is to short to be bitter about random stuff like that.
No not at all u should say that we had a lot of help and not make it look like u two did it all by urself that's the point. Clearly u don't know how to be honest point blank
This guy paid attention in Tech studies at school
Lol I was a horrible student. Thanks for watching!
He is a hell of a carpenter. If that is not his profession, he missed his calling. He is the definition of jack of all trades. Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and welding. I envy you sir, I wish I had your skill. Very beautifully done.
You are too kind, but thank you!
One thing tho you should put some cctv camras up for safty loved your vids
Thank for watching! I installed a camera system for driving. It was a 4-camera system that records each side of the bus, plus the front and rear. Unfortunately, I didn’t film it and put it in the video.
Some hooks on either side that you can connect some netting to would help keep the books etc. up on the shelves. Just unhook the netting when you want to get something.
We used eye hooks and small bungees, but nets are a great idea too!
Thanks for watching!
Did you account for vehicle movement, the fittings should have slight gaps to reduce the chance of it falling apart during transition.
We are two years into our journey, so far so good. Thanks for watching!
How much weight did you add to the finished build?
Not sure on the exact numbers, but we’ll make a video about it once we figure it out.
Looks realky good..sorry for my ignorance but where does the waste go..how do you flush the toilet..im new to this ..thanks
We used a composting toilet system so we have to empty it every few days. All of the water goes into a 40 gallon gray tank which can be drained just like a normal RV sewer setup.
@@SojournBuilds thankyou
I'm just in amazement! I just watched the whole build video and had to come see this one. Wow ! I love your choices of color, texture, all the storage, your dogs... oh I just love it all ! 😊 My Husband wanted to convert a bus, but sadly we lost him to cancer. He was a master carpenter and I know he would have loved this. Enjoy, stay safe and God bless from a Great Grandma in Kansas 😊 I subscribed to follow your journeys !
Thank you so much! I’m so sorry about your husband, but I hope you enjoy watching our adventures!
Wow ! First , I have never watched a video this long ! Second, wow...just WOW!! So many crazy ,mad skills ! I am so impressed and absolutely love how your home on wheels turned out. Just WOW ! Someone taught you well. Enjoy ! God bless !
Thank you so much! It took a long time to gain the skill necessary to complete this build, plus I had to pick up a few new skills along the way. Lol thanks for watching!
"Tony Home" or "Tiny Home"?
Thanks!
How much did you siendo, for you end the contruction
Not sure, but we’ll probably make a video about it once we sort it out. Our guess is 30k including the bus.
Really nice bus. Love it. Although I little bit more attention to detail would be great. But overall a great build!
Ok thanks!
Das habt ihr wunderschön gemacht, mein Respekt 👏👌
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
By far one of the most amazing jobs I’ve seen so far ❤️
Thank You!

Beautiful build. Enjoy your journey together. Chris(Melb Australia)
Thank you!
Very nice job!!!
Thank you!
I wonder how many screws it took?
🤷🏼♂️
This build is art built by artists.
Thank you so much!
Yes you have just done a beautiful job from a old school bus you took all the wires and order stuff off the bus and you made it into a lovely home but the thing is you have still got the stealing wheel at the front does the bus can you drive off with the bus is distilling we'll just on the bus just for display I would take the steering wheel off and make into something that you can use like a office or unlock out
We’ve been driving the bus for two years! We need the steering wheel. Lol
Dude you are ballsy. I silicone coated my roof same bus just international and I just knew I was going down and then the ground would have stopped me. And I'm a roofer! You are just casually ice skating up there....
Yeah, I wasn’t crazy about being up there, but I always felt like I had good traction.
The Li Ziqi of bus builds. May I ask what kind of camera equipment you’re using?
Canon R Mirrorless. It was covered in paint, caulk, glue and insulation by the end. Lol
The blue that you used on the wood furniture is the same color I painted the outside of my house.
I love that color! You have good taste😉
How much did all this cost including the bus ? Did the drivetrain had to be worked on at all in all this ? This is amazing/inspiring
We got the bus at a very good price and it only had 37k miles on it. It had a brake issue that cost 4K to fix, but that was really it.
Maravilloso como siempre Abel 🎉 FELICITACIONES CAMPEÓN 🎉
Thank You!
This is the most beautiful bus conversion that I have ever seen, you are an absolute master at everything you do. I watched the whole build video and was amazed at how well you guys crafted and thought out every detail. I subscribed so I will be along for the ride, I hope you guys don't mind but I will be commenting from time to time! 🥰
Thank you so much! Please comment whenever you’d like to.
Absolutely amazing, I had to subscribe and follow you guys! 🥰
Thank you!
This video really gives great insight into the actual work effort involved in a bus restoration.
It definitely takes a lot of time and energy! Thanks for watching!
only thing i see thats a problem is not adding silicone when you screw down the solar panels to the roof as thats potential for leaks-or any other screw you put in the roof without silicone. Other than that, great build!
Every screw and bolt in the roof has silicone around it. It made a mess so it was tough to fill it without getting the silicone on the camera. Thanks for watching!
Awesome 👏 Amazing
Thank You!
