Correct Kannada
India
Приєднався 8 лип 2020
This is the Channel to learn Kannada correctly. Medium of Instruction is English. But Kannada Varanamale(Alphabet) is used.
We use Kannada Script(Varnamala) to teach Kannada. But we use English Grammar as a base to teach the initial steps of Kannada Grammar. We believe, this method will help the English-Educated, Adult learner, typically a non-Kannadiga who has settled down in Bangalore or Mysore or any other developing city of Karnataka. I fit the description.
Our target audience is those who respect the Kannada Language and would love to learn it correctly. Speak Kannada Correctly. Write Kannada Correctly. The target audience is also those who love to explore the Kannadiga Culture, History, Food.
In short, this channel is for those who would like to learn Kannada Language, Culture, Food and History, as a hobby, but seriously and correctly.
A lot of emphasis is given on grammatical concepts like Participles, Moods, Modals, Post Positions, Converting Verbs to Nouns.

Namaskara kara, dhanyavadagalu. Naanu Bangalore nalli irtini adakke kannada kaliyatiiddini, ee video nanage tumbda help maaditu.
11:00 can't we use "aa" in all the situations, like in Tamil & Telugu?
Like in Tamil language, in Kannada too, I can see the same Lego-blocks like Modal verbs formation like below. My question is, if their meanings are correct in Kannada, then what else can I replace the word "Beku" with?? I can just think of "Bahudu = May or Might" & "li= Let" that can replace "Beku". Anything that means "Can or Could" which can use the same below pattern?! Is "ballu" means "Can or Could"?! **Kannada:** Bēku ≈ should/Must. (or "Bahudu ≈ May/Might" or "li ≈ Let"). 1. ira Bēku = should be. 2. Māḍa Bēku = should do. 3. Māḍuttira Bēku = should be doing. 4. Māḍira Bēku = should have done. 5. iddira Bēku = should have been. 6. Māḍiddira Bēku = should have been done. 7. Māḍuttiddira Bēku = should have been doing. 8. Hondira Bēku = should have. 9. Hondiddira Bēku = should have had. 10. Māḍabēkira Bēku = Should have to do. 11. Māḍabēkiddira Bēku = Should have had to do. **Tamil:** In Tamil the following Lego-blocks like Modals formation like that of English language is there. (Replace "Vēṇḍum ≈ Should/Must" with "Muḍiyum ≈ Can/ could/ be able to" or "iyalum ≈ Can/ could/ be able to" or "Kūḍum ≈ May/ Might" or "lām≈ May or could" or "um ≈ will/would", for different modals possibilities). "Vēṇḍum ≈ should/Must". 1. irukka Vēṇḍum = Should be. 2. Çeyya Vēṇḍum = should do. 3. Çeythukoṇḍirukka Vēṇḍum = should be doing. 4. Çeythirukka Vēṇḍum = should have done. 5. irunthirukka Vēṇḍum = should have been. 6. Çeythirunthirukka Vēṇḍum = should have been done. 7. Çeythukoṇḍirunthirukka Vēṇḍum = should have been doing. 8. Vaitthirukka or koṇḍirukka (or ponthiyirukka) Vēṇḍum = Should have. 9. Vaitthirunthirukka or koṇḍirunthirukka (or ponthiyirunthirukka) Vēṇḍum = Should have had. 10. Çeyyavēṇḍiyirukka Vēṇḍum = Should have to do. 11. Çeyyavēṇḍiyirunthirukka Vēṇḍum = Should have had to do.

Hats off to the effort taken to explain the topic in such a detailed manner..
A Humble request to you! Please, make all these in a book format that will surely be a best seller among people who want to learn Spoken Kannada. Or, at least arrange all these presentation slides in a single PDF format in seperate chapters. So tgat people will hand notes to follow. This would help beginners to have an optimistic mindset to learn the language faster. Thank you for your service (vidya dhaanam)!

Sir...should have written the second column also in English script...it's not possible to read and understand your explanations when one cannot read Kannada script...
Great presentation...examples and it's variations are most informative...
Sir, Very nice explanation. Thank you.
Noorentu means 108 also? Right?
@@mudassarnagori right. Literally, it is 108. In this context it means, "many, many"
Thank you Sir...for regular posing of the lessons...helpful

@@chandrachakrabarti9803 Yes. I am trying to be consistent.
Sir doubt what does bekaagirodu maad irodhu maadta iroodhu mean verb plus irodhu types I don't understand
@@bbc6799 irOdu is a colloqial form of iruvudu. it means "that which is there" bEkaagirOdu means that which is needed. nimage bEkaagirOdu nanna duDDu taane? togoLLu. What is needed for you is my money only, right? Take. maaDirOdu - that which was done niinu maaDirodu eShtu doDDa tappu anta ninage artha ayitaa? The mistake which you have done, do you understand how big it is? So "irOdu" when added to any past verbal participle gives the effect of adding "that which" to the action. An example of using irOdu on its own: naavu irOdE nimmantavaranna hiDiyakke. We are there just to catch people like you.
Great lesson. Thank you. I am quickly picking up Kannada thanks to your videos
@@indirajayaraman4758 You are welcome. Happy to hear that.
Useful Sir...learnt a few new kannaDa words..thank you Sir
Please Show it in writing also, to get more clarity
Sir You are a Devdoot :)😇😇 From last 4months I was struggling to learn Kannada with proper grammar. Even tried some online courses. All in vain. Nobody teaches the grammar. Very few have such detailed knowledge and can map it so nicely with English. I am very good Hindi speaking person, but I will also struggle to teach Hindi with such great Indepth research and knowledge. Your videos have solved all my doubts and queries regarding Kannada language. I am deeply grateful to you and really admire your efforts and teaching skills. So, selflessly you have designed this material and imparted the knowledge. No words would be enough to thank you for your hard work. May God always bless, protect and guide you and your family. Deep Regards 🙏🙏
@@savitagupta388 Thanks a lot. Your kind words made my day!
Wonderful teaching sir. Your explanation with grammar is very good. Thanks
Great teaching! How nicely you explain grammar and how to go about learning Kannada.
My doubt about spoken and written kannada always bothered me thank you for clearing it
@@rochenik6315 I had the same doubts when I was learning Kannada
very difficult to learn when the script is different.
Yes. I am telugu person. So I can understand.
The script is actually easier than Hindi/Devanagari, as it doesn't have special letters for combined letters(Yuktaakashara).
Oh my god! These examples have many grammatical errors. "ಇರುವುದ ಕಾರಣದಿ೦ದ" ? or "ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣದಿ೦ದ" "ವು" -> "ವ" when it is added to ಆ (5th vibhakti pratyaya). I wonder if these materials were reviewed by a native Kananda speaker before being used online.
Isn't simple present tense for I am going, Naanu Hoguttene. Can this also be written as Naanu hogtini? I am too much confused. Please clarify.
@@chetankadam6637 Pls watch my video on the difference between written and spoken kannada. hOgutEne is written kannada form. hOgtiini is spoken kannada form
@@correctkannada9172 Thank you for clarifying the doubt.

Thank You. Pls check out my UA-cam shorts videos as well. I take one kannada news headlines and translate it to English
