    There are dark forces, spirits involved in paralysis. Alcohol, yes? The darkness is trying to kill the light children, it isn't normal.❤❤❤

    I used to live in anger and spite as a teen. It took my dad suddenly passing away for me to realize that life is too short to be angry all the time. I think it's a perfectly normal emotion to feel when you are violated, and then forced to cover it up right? I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm sorry we couldn't protect you at the time, but that doesn't mean you have to suffer in silence any more. You are a part of creation, worthy of love, respect and dignity. Take back your power and REFUSE to let these things that happened to you in the past define who you will ultimately become. I'm sorry that happened to you, but you are loved and you are worthy. I wouldn't spend time writing this if I didn't believe it. Healing doesn't happen overnight but it IS possible. I am very lucky to find a few good role models later in life who taught me what it REALLY means to be a man. It's not all the stereotypes we were indoctrinated with growing up .. all that macho crap was suffocating my soul. The men I admire most are empathetic, compassionate AND strong. They use their power to lift people up, rather than tear them down.

    To the lady that the father got to her kids, I was molested too, and I do feel so very bad for you, but if you didn't block out your abuse how could you let your father around your kids knowing what he did to you. Why wouldn't you believe that he wouldn't do the same thing to your children.

    Watching videos like these make me feel even more alone and depressed. Very seldom do you hear anything about moms who sexually abuse their sons. I'm a male, and it happened to me. It took me 30 years to finally admit that what happened to me wasn't right.

      I can't forgive and my dad has been dead since 1999. My grandfather was a retired minister and psychologist. No way in hell I ever speak about what happened. Not his perfect family. I could not talk nobody would believe me. He was "perfect" in the community.

    My son was abused sexually by a trusted male neighbor. I told him that the neighbor would not do that and took away my sons toys. One day, my son could not urinate so I took him to the E.R. to be told he had S.T.D. he was 6 at that time. It took me 20 years to write a book about it that will be appearing on CBS called; 'Chocolate Flowers' God bless the men who had parents like I was and denied you. I am sorry and that's why I am speaking out to tell parents that it happens to boys just as much as it happens to girls. Jori Nunes

    I just watched the clip of this documentary. Isn't it funny how we find things in our life at exactly the time we are ready for them. I have been working the past 4 years to raise awareness of the sexual abuse of children. I was sexually molested by my father as a child. And at times, I felt like I was the only one out here fighting for my voice to be heard. But y'all at Big Voice Pictures have reminded me that I am surrounded by fellow warriors. I will never be alone again. Thank you for your amazing work. So glad to see you also did a documentary for male survivors. One of the many things that I struggle with is how to let people know the absolute reality of this epidemic while at the same time, to give them hope. Especially when I know that it will be a lifetime journey of healing. But time does heal all wounds when you don't keep everything bottled up inside. I am ONE We are ONE Thank you again for helping us come out of the closet,

    there are so many of us out there with this nasty, violent, act that any person can put on a child, am one of them,, I have dealt with the incest of my father to me, the selling of me to others, on and on, though what I still have a major issues with is that He was a convicted Pedophilia, MY womb carrier, gave me to him to raise, HOW the Heck does a mother do this,,, to this day she will not speck of it, other than to say I choice this family, i know longer speck with her,,, OOO and the very sensitive thing is she claims to be a therapist.. NOT funny.... Y is it that i can over come the abuse though not the person who gave me to him.

    I agree, both genders need the services offered but it cannot be done in a mixed gender setting. The same building could offer the services but the therapy groups themselves would be much less effective if they attempted to serve both genders at the same time.

  • @pontifixmax
    @pontifixmax 11 років тому

    Agreed that services for survivors of sexual abuse and assault should be offered equally to men and women, but I don't think that they should be offered together. I say this as a sexual abuse survivor myself who went through a male only group therapy program. Truth is I couldn't have done or talked about what I needed to with women there. However, dealing with it with other guys there who had gone through the same thing made a world of difference.

    Thank you so much. He is doing better now but it was devastating when it happened. He attempted suicide 2 weeks after it happened. His therapist is fantastic though. She has basically saved his life. We live in California where our justice system is a joke. Pedophiles and predators are let out constantly due to under funding of our prisons. You're right. They don't stop. Death is the only thing that stops them. It's harsh but true.

    thank you for sharing this however hard it is to hear your brother and this other child had to suffer the horrible trauma. I hope he has found help for healing--many more men and boys are getting help, but many more resources and stricter laws are needed. These pedophiles don't stop. We need to keep speaking out and doing all we can to make sure justice is served and healing resources are available.

    My little brother was raped by the next door neighbor when he was 14. The thing that amazed me was we found out how many groups protect the rapist but not the victims. The person who raped my brother (Brian McVoy) was originally sentenced to 26 years but was released after serving only 10.5 years. A year later he raped a 15 year old boy. He's currently serving life. If they had kept him in jail where he belonged another innocent boy wouldn't have suffered like my brother did.

    Men who set out to sexually abuse young boys are grooming them to become gay, so that they can exploit them for longer periods of time. It happened to my brother. My brother had a lot of problems with that because my mom had a mental illness, so these men in the church preyed upon my brother. I could tell they were after him and I tried to protect him as much as I could by always insisting that I go with him everywhere they wanted to take him...until I went to college. Then it happened.

    Surrounding yourself with people who believe you is key. Reading the many books out there that support you, watching films like The Healing Years that support you. Not to diminish the pain of not being believed. That is real. It's just as you trust in yourself and get more and more support, the smaller and smaller those other voices become!

    Recently in Victoria, BC, Canada, there was a Public Speaker who spoke for the Women's Sexual Assault Center, and his goal was to remove the word "Women's" from the organization and provide services to Everyone! For it's Equality that women are after, right? 80% of the place Booed him. In the beginning, there was a Men's Sexual Assault Centre, but Female Activists forced it to close for being discriminatory! Now the Women's society is doing the same! But that's different, according to Women!
