What a day to take the sportster out, glorious weather, and a trip to talk about some new tattoos that I want which will cover up some old awful tattoos that I had when I was very young. And a great opportunity to get the sportster 883 warmed up on some nice dry roads .

The bike looks awesome!.. good job!
@SoloBlack313 thanks buddy, I do miss it 😔
@wsmv lol.. it is better to have loved once, then not at all! Stay well and happy holidays to you my friend.
@SoloBlack313 and to you and yours buddy 👍
Thank u once I pass my test and I get my bike I’ll come over to 🏴 and I’ll let u know when and we’re we can meet ⬆️ in your town. ❤❤
@ShopieLaOrone well done on passing. I don't do meet ups but enjoy riding here 👍
No it’s wonderful u did it u 🏴 specking people get right! ❤❤
@@ShopieLaOrone thank you, I would love to speak much better French ❤️🇲🇫
👋 ☝️ 🕰️ 👀ur channel so so good me I’m 16yr I have a Honda cb125F road bike on DECEMBER 25th I’m 17yrs and from the December 27th I take my cat A bike training for 3days then test I live in 🇫🇷 so hopefully I pass🤞 then I’m going to buy the new BMW 1300 GS me I 😛 to get this but I know I have to do my best rideing to get my pass fully done.👍 ❤❤
@ShopieLaOrone good luck with the bike test Sophie, I'm sure you will be fine, and then you can explore as much as you want. The 1300GS is. Big bike to jump onto though, very heavy 👍
how does it link with the phone and headset also how easy is it to take on and off if popping into a cafe etc
@mikejacks1939 it connects to the phone via WiFi, and then the phone uses Bluetooth to connect to a headset. Also uses the WiFi connection to download videos that are recorded in the unit. I would say it's not easy to remove quickly. It has security fittings to make it difficult to remove quickly but like anything there's always a risk leaving anything on a bike 🤷♂️
@@wsmv Thank you for the reply. If there is a decent flat surface on the rear of the unit I could fit a self adhesive quad lock type female attachment I could fit it directly to the Mount I have installed on my Harley. Does the footage get stored on an internal hard drive or SD card.
@mikejacks1939 good idea with the quad lock 👍 it's an internal hard drive but not sure how big it is sorry
Looks a great bit of kit. How does the device get gps data for the maps? Is it via phone signal, bluetooth or wi-fi? It seems to work like a ipad, so what apps does it support? Thanks Marc
@JockBiker hi Marc, it's just like a car android auto or apple car play, it uses the phones GPS and connects via WiFi to the phone. Works really well but this version doesn't have its own GPS. Thanks
@ ah ok. But does it not have its own gps unit on the back? So wi-Fi connection to phone not Bluetooth. Reason I’m asking is my rt connects to my phone via wi-Fi.
@JockBiker yes it's wifi to the phone, which leaves the Bluetooth free to connect to headset. Works really well and uses the WiFi to download the videos recorded by the cameras 👍
DO NOT speed in Wales. There are mobile cameras everywhere. They have about 12 vans out every day
yeah all got a bit silly now, the good news is they generally take an image of the front of the vehicle with the driver, no plates on the front of a bike 😂😂but i generally dont speed anymore, it takes too long to heal at my age if something goes wrong.
Great video! I have a C6 Pro sitting at home waiting to be fitted and tested, I have the Chigee AIO5 on mine cant wait to see how well the Aoocci compares
itll be interesting to see, i was offered a carpure ride but declined as cant be bothered to keep swapping them around for testing 😂😂
@wsmv I know that feeling
The rake trail and wheelbase is the same as 916,the motor is way better and stronger, never any headshake issues and stable at speed,I have ridden mine for twenty years in all conditions in every environment, carry a spare Voltage regulator or go to a big finned Yamaha unit.Add two teeth to rear sprocket.
Awesome bikes, very underrated. As long as you swap out the auto camchain tensioner and change the oil they are pretty bulletproof 😎👌
Great review. Never owned a bike with such low down punch as one of these. brilliant.
I know buddy, such an awesome bike, and the noise low down is immense 👍
Great review. I was about to purchase one, however my handlebar is 3cm in diameter between the clamps. Have you any idea if the included clamp will be large enough. I have asked Aoocci the question, but nothing back as yet... Thanks.
Hi Steve, really good question, when I get home I will measure it and reply to this message 👍
Hi @steveausten3413 I've taken the mount off the bike to take some images. It's quite a well designed fitment that I think could work up to about 35mm bar diameter. If you email westonsupermotovlog@gmail.com I can send you some photos I took against a ruler
Can you please upload more footage recorded by the AOOCci cameras?
I will see what I can do 👍
An impressive sounding/looking bit of kit...Although not as much as this new channel name...Harley Davidson ass-less chaps vids landing soon I bet! 😉🤣✌️
You read my mind 🤣🤣
@wsmv Hope you & Mrs Spaghetti are well mate! 😬👍
Nice video! Do you know if aoocci c9 works with gpx viewer apps (like osmand)?
Thanks Gregory, really sorry I don't know, if its an app that works on normal android auto or apple carplay then it should as the software and operating system is the same. Probably worth contacting them directly to be sure though, cheers
Can the display unit be easily disconnected from the mount, allowing it to stay safe and secure with me when l park my bike?
I am probably going to say no, however they have designed the mount and fitting so it's actually quite time consuming to remove. Like anything on a bike, if they want it, they'll take it 😔
Just missing a GPS speedometer thanks for the review 👍🏻
That would be a great addition, I know aoocci are keeping an eye on comments in these review videos so perhaps it's something they can add. I think C6Pro comes with a virtual dashboard 🤔
C9 don't have GPS. C6 yes, have GPS
Nice to see you back on UA-cam. It looks a great system, but I do worry about the distraction element while riding. They do so much these days. I'm still using my 12 year old Garmin dedicated Satnav. It's a bit dull in bright light but still works. Hope you will come out of retirement again at some point
Thanks buddy, I absolutely understand the distraction thing, but it's like anything else, once we are bored of the extras it'll just become a tool to use when needed. It's certainly a lot better than my phone 🤣🤣
Nice surprise to see your video, hopefully you might do a falow up on fitting the Aoocci c9 max, hope you are enjoying your youtube retirement 😂, take care and ride safe
Thanks buddy, I could do, but if I'm honest it's so simple it would be a very short video 🤣🤣
Great to see you back, miss your vlogs. Have an earlier similar version of CarPlay on 1200X. With all these units you can also use voice commands, “hey Siri, call so and so, heh Google, take me to Westward Ho!” Works a treat. Considering this for the cameras. Hope to hear your tones again soon??
Thanks buddy, really appreciate that. Didn't know about the voice activation, will have to try that "hey Google, take me to macdonalds" 🤣🤣
@@wsmv 😂👍
That’s a very slick unit!!!
It seriously impressed me when I used it, much easier than using a phone 👍
@@wsmv I bet!
Throwing in some great shots in this video!!!
Thanks Patrick, it was nice going through my old footage to find some 😁👍
@@wsmv Spaghetti Weston? That’s just awesome!!

Phil!!! Good to see you my friend!!!!
Thanks Patrick, I'm still trying to keep current with my subscribers, glad to see you're all OK after the awful weather you've been through buddy, Stay safe y'all 🙏
@@wsmv Thanks Phil. All is well here at Casa de Ramblings!
Nice to see this notification pop up. 👍 Lots of these systems about now, good stuff for not too silly money. That one looks good and you're clearly impressed with it. Ride safe mate👍
Thanks buddy, hope you're well. Yeah I was really impressed by it, much easier than using the phone, and although I'm not a fan of dashcams I actually quite like the security of them running all the time. Stay safe my friend 👍
Does it include its own gps sensor like the C6 Pro does? Thank you
No I don't think so, it relies on the GPS from the connected device. Thanks
@@wsmv Darn… was hoping it still had it! Thanks for your reply!
@@wsmv I had been looking at the C6Pro for Xmas but now the C9 appeared. I don't need TPMS, already have that, so the C9 version without fits the bill. However the lack of GPS now swings it for me. The C6 having its own GPS unit allows for mapping downloads and then offline mapping, ideal for me as I'm still a mobile phone PAYG dinosaur.
@steviep7706 yeah lots of choices but I am impressed by the aoocci build quality and operation. 👍
Id like one, not sure if I'd use it much but it would give me a carrot to go on bigger trips. The only thing that puts me off is finding the ignition wire on me bike I find terrifying. Good job👍
Hi mate, I didn't go into the fitment too much because I didn't want it to get boring, but I have a socket for heated clothing on my bike that I don't use so I used that as the ignition feed and earth. Lamb chops and richie vida used the tail lamp feed as it only comes on with ignition. I'm sure you'd love some long trips buddy, whether in the UK or abroad, it certainly opens doors and having a decent safe satnav is a game changer, I certainly won't fix my phone to my bike again 🤣
Hi Phil nice to see you about agian 😎😎😎😎😎😎 I think wunderlich do a clamp for a satnav that would mount on a central yoke (got one myself in the garage I'll e mail you details)
Thanks buddy, hope you're well mate 😎👍
@@wsmv backs knackered at the moment so can't ride Email sent of my mount fits up to 12 cms width yokes
@howie702 oh no hope its nothing that can't be fixed with rest mate, Thanks for that will take a look 👍
Good to see you back Phil, hope you and the family are well. Thanks for the review, I think it makes sense when you look at it as a complete package especially if you’re going to use it a lot 👍
Thanks Kev, yeah all good here just super busy with work like everyone else. It's a great system and makes sense for me, already planning next summers trip and this will make it much easier. Not sure how much riding I'll get in over the winter though 😢
@@wsmv know how you feel. Ironically I’m riding more lately than I did in the summer, hope you get some riding in too and enjoy yourself
Nice surprise to see you pop up Phil. I'd imagine that's a handy thing for when you need a handy thing. Only one road over here 😁😆😅🤣😂 so hard to get lost when your already at the end of the world. Look forward to maybe a video or 2 shortly. Take care mate.
🤣🤣 yeah if there's only one road then no real need for sar nav, 🤣🤣
A lot of finger blasting going on 😳
It was quite tiring 🤭
I use a TomTom Rider. Works great. You're right about the pitfalls of using a phone. These types of systems weren't available when I was shopping for a navigation system. I'm relieved to hear that the box is good quality and tells you about what you've already purchased. That ticks all the... erm... boxes. With all those functions, does it not get a bit distracting? Good review 👍
Thanks Noob, I think once it's up and running and the novelty has passed the distraction would go and it'll just work in the background for you. I agree there seems like a lot to take in but I love android auto and having it on the bike is brilliant for me, just need somewhere to go now 😁
Thoroughly enjoyed your trip ... thanks
Thanks Chris, really appreciate it 👍
I've got to get there one day 👍
I recommend it once, I don't think I need to go back again though 😎👍
No need for the constance use of the "F" word. I cancelled my sub.
Thanks for coming, I already closed the channel 8 weeks ago 🤣🤣
This has been a fun series to watch! Too bad it's the last we'll hear from you - for now. I bet you'll be back, just not touring :D
You never know, thanks john 👍
Tre bien 😅😅
Merci boucoup Mon ami 🤷♂️ I tried 🤣
I have crossed the country on a Honda Rebel 250. And I'm 6' 240.
Absolute legend buddy, I would love to do a tour across the States (on any bike) 😎👍
White wheels
Not a bad shout Bjorn, if I get another one I think white wheels will be the way to go, but think of all the cleaning 🤣🤣
In my opinion I believe that this review is a logical and well un bias opinion
Exactly what I was after, thanks Stuart 😁👍
A friend of mine had one back in the day. Let me ride it for half an hour up in the Ozark mountains. It was perfectly tuned, engine and suspension, and I will never forget how it would wheelie out of EVERY SINGLE CORNER!
They are such fun and very underrated because of the competition looking more 'sporty' 😎👍
It's not all Jap bikes, my GPZ500 was like a russian tractor. It's hondas. They have that reputation for a damn good reason
Unfortunately it also ticks the gas-guzzler box. In a big way, too.
It's actually not that bad on gas, just has a small tank, although having the biggest carbs of ANY produ tion bike doesn't help, but sounds awesome 😎 👌
If its range is 70 miles as you said or even 100miles, that's reason enough to forget about it. But you chose to not spend more than 2sec on the topic.
To be fair, ridden sensible (like anyone would) you could get 120, but the 2000 model onwards had a slightly bigger tank which helps 🤷♂️
Went to the Bastogne war museum last year and just walked in, didn't pay a penny 🤔
I think you can get in for free. We paid for the translation headset which means it all made more sense. Fantastic place to visit ❤️
Great videos of a great trip. Thanks! Greetings from Baarn (NL)
Hi Frank, thank you so much, just planning next year's tour which will start in NL, I can't wait, such a beautiful country ❤️👍
I've always wondered why people think you can't ride a sportster long distances. You can do it on a 250cc just have to stay off the 80mph hwys.
I know my 883 will go anywhere and be comfortable doing it, but I didn't know until I tried. Plus I've had it hold pace at 85 to 90mph without it missing a beat. ❤️HD
Can you please give details of your route
Hi John, hope this helps. Calais to riems, Riems to mulhouse, Mulhouse through Switzerland to bormio, Bormio over stelvio and through Austria to freidricshafen (stopping at the neunwanstein castle) (very long day, too long) Freidrichshafen to saarbrucken, Saarbrucken to ghent, Ghent home. We took 8 days but should have taken at least 12 because the last few days became very hard especially in the heat. Hope that helps 👍
@@wsmv thank you for responding 😊👍
I have a blue 2003 VTR 1000 SuperHawk (US version), and I'm the original owner. Only 36,000 miles so far, but no issues at all with it (3K mile GN4 oil changes, brake, clutch, and coolant flushes every couple years, and fresh chain lube regularly). Just tires, a set of brake pads, and a one chain/sprockets worn out. It still rides like new and pulls equally hard and smooth from 4,000 to 9,500 RPM. My only advice is to spend the money and get a Corbin seat for it. It immensely improves the seat comfort and does not negatively affect the tank-hugging sporty riding position! The only real down sides are the 100 mile range before the fuel light comes on, and the carburetor at altitude. I live in Colorado, so the flat(ish) "plains" for us are at 5,000ft elevation, and mountain rides vary from 5,000 to 12,000 feet elevation. It's just not possible to tune a carb to have the right air/fuel ratio over that wide of an elevation range, so above 9,000ft, I can't give it more than 70% throttle without bogging down due to running far too rich. Fortunately, I don't have to because it's just as fun at half throttle with the wide power band. It really is just easy and relaxing to ride and feels like it goes way too fast way too effortlessly with no drama and a smile-inducing sound that I've never tired of hearing. I do an annual 500 mile "spirited ride" in the mountains in late summer (on a weekday when school is back on to avoid as much traffic as possible), with about 80% of that being amazing twisty scenic mountain roads. It's one of the best days of my year, almost every year. I don't mind the welcome breaks at the 6 fuel stops along the way! Great place to live for spring-fall motorcycling :) Here's what that all-day ride looks like: www.google.com/maps/dir/Standley+Lake+Library+-+Jefferson+County+Public+Library,+8485+Kipling+St,+Arvada,+CO+80005/Nederland/40.166808,-105.4606419/40.3814764,-105.5148919/40.4182792,-105.1900624/Stove+Prairie+Landing/Toponas/38.8116222,-106.117109/Bailey/39.8524303,-105.1092043/@39.8286043,-105.3858817,9.17z/data=!4m37!4m36!1m5!1m1!1s0x876b89250054e3ed:0x72ee64f8fac21f62!2m2!1d-105.1111944!2d39.8504537!1m5!1m1!1s0x876bc6c44e45525b:0x8d645c98aaec4cb2!2m2!1d-105.5108312!2d39.9613759!1m0!1m0!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x87693d9e760b05ff:0x79083c86fcc894d0!2m2!1d-105.3891557!2d40.6824814!1m5!1m1!1s0x87421de66f1ba8ab:0xa0a1d00285f051ec!2m2!1d-106.8080984!2d40.0602639!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x876b12406ebe3e01:0xad0f96177e864c2b!2m2!1d-105.4786412!2d39.4060536!1m0!3e0?entry=ttu I hope you enjoy your Firestorm as much as I enjoy mine!!!
Thanks Chris, it's great to read someone else's experiences on a bike that I loved so much. I had to trade mine in (for now) because I needed a touring bike for the 2 of us, but I will get another vtr. The fuel problem is just a by-product of how much fun the bike is, it's not particularly thirsty just has a small tank........ and sounds awesome at full throttle 🤣🤣
Love my vtr .. there’s a reason why I sold my zx6r and r1 and still got the vtr
I don't blame you daniel, I miss my vtr so much and already looking to replace it but need a bigger garage 🤦♂️
