This video was part of my reason to actually go out and trade in my CB500F for a TRK502X! I was wondering, what did you use to mount your phone to that windscreen bar? I was looking at quadlocks motorcycle mount but it seems the diameter of the bar would be too small for that to fit.

When you change the rear sprocket with a smaller one, the speedo accuracy will increase :)

Abit late,,but Iv just got back from touring Europe (down to the bottom of Spain then across to Romania ) I used cheapo gear,my tent was from Lidl was waterproof (totally) and I wild (its cheaper) camped for over 20nights of the 33 days tour,,,nothing wrong with cheap stuff,checkout Temu

look at the Duke lifting it's skirt and tip-toeing through the mud 😁 -- still more off-roading than I've done. So, walking, Dog walking and 'other' activities 😆.. If Churchill was still around I'm pretty sure he'd reel off a belter about your off-roading mate, although not sure what he'd of made of the ITALIAN AXIS engineering! (But I guess the did swap sides after seeing sense 😋)

Surely "you're not a peloton, you're a pillock" would have fitted better? We're getting plagued by MAMILs round here being as it's summer and they need to ride around on their expensive bicycles for some reason. Could get a real bike (with an engine) for less.

Bought one for my bikes, does a great job on the car as well. Not tried it on the patio tho.

I totally agree that no bike with EFI and ABS and any other computerized garbage is or ever will be a "classic". I have a 2006 H-D Sportster 1200L, last year for carbureted Harleys in the U.S. But it has that really wide 4.5 gallon tank, which to me ruins its looks, and because it has the rubber mount frame, I have not been able to find a peanut tank made for carbureted bikes to fit it. I also have a 2013 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 that I bought new. It came with EFI, but within a week I had replaced that with an Amal Concentric MK1 carburetor, using a kit from Hitchcocks that converted the tank from EFI to one you could put a petcock on. It ran about 10 times better after that. I also put a much smaller non cat con exhaust on it, also from Hitchcocks.

Well 3rd time lucky worked TF,although would be far worst if it happens while on 1 of your "Epic Adventures" this year Phil! 😜👍 As for those folk with no sense of humour...They're just a dead loss as is using your legs & own energy to pedal a bike,when engines are profen to be more efficient...IMO! 🤣✌️

Planning a euro trip next year, there’s a few places I must go to on my travels, will be my first time taking the bike abroad. Lots of planning, can’t wait :)

I tend to believe that Cyclists are either drivers who have been banned (because they're selfish and incompetent) or can't pass a driving test (as they're useless). Otherwise, why would anyone want to pedal everywhere? Cycling is something you're supposed to stop doing when you're about 16. Either way, cyclists are a danger to themselves and others and shouldn't be permitted on the road.

Love the cyclist rant, for some reason my FB feed always has the pretentious, virtuous, wank merchants and their cycling groups berating the world because it caters to cars. This aint Amsterdam, the roads have got every busier and cycles are a menace to most of it. I am of course, joking 🤗🤗😏😏 -- I appreciate, as many of us do the equipment failures!! Sounds like a super tour you've got planned, Weston. Having lived in France for 10 years I would advise when driving there to adhere strictly to the speed limits. You never see the Gendarmerie and their cameras and they can now send the summons to your UK address. They can also fine you on the spot for speeding and for many motoring offences like failing to completely stop at stop signs and failing to reduce speed when it's raining. French cyclists are also sacrosanct so try not to swear at them or kick them off their bikes. Classic bikes can run forever providing they are maintained properly. My only bikes now are a 1958 Velocette Venom and a 1969 Norton Commando Fastback.

The trip sounds awesome mate, I hope you have a lot of fun on it and the weather is on side. I get really annoyed with cyclists not peddling... if they are gonna hold me up, they should at least pretend they are trying to go a bit quicker... and if they are not fit enough to peddle after a hill climb, then obviously all that cycling isn't working and they may as well buy a motorbike, especially if they are not gonna peddle! 😀 Hahahaha 😀

I had an 883 for about 10 years and 35,000 miles. My passing technique was time my run up behind the target vehicle picking up speed and time it right when no traffic was coming and make my pass.
