Gallagher - So They Built Piers
Переглядів 360 тис.11 років тому
I once typed this up, on a typewriter, back in the long-ago days before word processors, and mailed it to the woman I'm now married to. Yeah, the "we're all Europeans" comment's a bit racist and wrong, but the rest of it's superb.
Kevin’s just chilling with his cup of tea and street sweeper by his side. 😂
The Watermelon Smasher: A unique comedy act! So now he's selling off his props.
How do those folks in the audience compare to the wasted idiots in our country today? 1947- and still hanging in there.
If you don't think America is a European country you're a moron. America didn't happen from any other people but Europeans.
Polly Walker ( the girl that Jimmy is walking to in the pub) is currently in Bridgerton
A street sweeper shotgun . Not likely. Anywhere in Ireland. A pump 12.
There is NOTHING "racist" about his comment. A REAL Gallagher fan would BOO such a suggestion. Gallagher would have probably written a whole routine about people who are so gullible. 🤔 In fact, I would think someone who was old enough to communicate before "word processors" would reject race-baiting. You are probably posting this to cover up the fact that you are using your grandpa's WiFi to watch porn! Quit going along with haters! 1- Gallagher was making a factual generalization about those who came to the New World of boats from.... EUROPE! Most of his audience (especially in the 1970s and 1980s) was old enough to have learned "American History" in school. Those who willingly came to what would become America were also PRIMARILY white. 2- There was no insult, no slight, and no judgement associated being (or not being) a Westerner. 3- It's nothing more than an assumption... For example, you might ASSUME that anyone attending the Kentucky Derby likes watching horses run. It DOESN'T MEAN they assume race attendees eat horse meat, engage in beastiality, or have a gambling addiction. GOOD JOB... You ruined what was otherwise a perfectly nice post.

Sounds just like Californians.....never satisfied and always finding a new gripe.
He was just so great. This skit is my most favorite.
Did Kevin have a bodyguard with him? There are clearly two shooters in the house.
Yep, Kevin was just sitting as the decoy while his men hid and waited for Charlie’s men.
@@crazyralph6386 ah. makes sense because that shooter is clearly not Kevin. Different, coat, different gun.
What is the name of the track he’s listening too.
Clannad - Harry's Game
Free-spirited critically thinking Gallaghers of the world unite! 🤘🤘
Always wondered what ozone did after breakdance
This is especially funny when your ancestors were pioneers of the American West. The Denver shtick was world class hilarious!
Thats how ya know america aint that bad. All the leakin boats is still docked
Hilarious. Between him, Sam Kinison and George Carlin.. they made me want to be a comedian when I was a kid.
Going to America was NOTHING. They went to Australia too
I went to several of his concerts. One I went to I had to piss. When I got back to my seat. He gave me hell. Lol
Gallagher was sharp as a tack in his humor!! Miss him!! Clean humor other than the sledgomatic!!
He gave the first few rows clear plastic to cover with. Can't get more clean than that🤣
California didn't turn out so well. Liberals screwed it all up!!!🫡
That used to be true and a source of pride. My, how things have changed.
Gotta have style
Good clean humor.
People don't live in california.... There are no people.... Woke liberal people are not people....
Met him late in his life. Still funny as get-go. Loved the food fights, but the best was his observations on the obvious. Seven11 open 24 hours and they had locks on the doors.
I saw him in concert two or three times in the 80s and early 90s and was super fortunate to see him in one of his last appearances at the Tropicana in Las Vegas, I think around 2010 or 2011. Realized it was probably the last time I’d seem so my wife and I ponied up to meet him and get an autograph. Still was a hilarious stand up comedian!
I grew up on his comedy. I loved his style and comedy. I do believe that he had a definite impact on how I view things.
Man he looks stoned, or high as hell on somewthing.
Now, you're told to sit down and shut up, don't be disruptive, don't protest, don't riot.
Gallagher came to Spokane and he said "I went to your zoo and saw your duck."
This man was always thinking "out of the box". R.I.P. Good Sir.
Saw him live in Birmingham AL when I was in grad school early 80s. Awesomely hilarious.
Has anyone found a way to watch Harry’s game? The scene he was watching was part of that movie. The movie is hard to find
He's not watching the show Harry's Game, but the Clannad music video of the show's theme.
The show is in You Tube
Why did he hang around his house waiting for three guys to show up and try to kill him? He was taking off to their secret base in Africa anyway. Why not just split as soon as he left the pub?
Probably just tying up loose ends but also because the filmmakers wanted to establish him as a dangerous character so a scene showing how badass he takes out 3 hitmen heightens the danger that Harrison Ford and his family are in
Captain Donnelly nooooo!
Love watching him when i need a true genuine laugh.
So they built piers. 😅
He left the lights on , man , think of global warming , god dam !! (HMP Maze 85-85)
Why did he kill charlie
Charlie was the enforcer of the IRA, sent by Jimmy to kill Kevin.
That theme by Clannad is amazing but does anyone else think it’s funny that a high ranking Provo gunman is watching Harry’s Game? That’s like watching All Quiet on the Western Front while you’re serving on the Western Front lol
He's not watching Harry's Game, just the music video of the theme song.
He's not a Provo. He's part of a Maoist splinter faction.
I miss his witty humor.
Great economical car the VW at the end of this clip, and great to not contribute so much to Climate Change, even in the early 1990's, and that's me Holding me Temper
I think that's a Renault
Was born in Annapolis Maryland where a lot of this movie takes place……..the ira was always so mysterious and interesting growing up because of this movie avenging his brother became top priority over the royals which was their main target
I liked the Annapolis shots but they didn't disguise the LA freeways well as they look nothing like Highway 50.
Rest in peace miss you
Best Irish movie scene ever? Up Tipp!
Legendary man love his work

He was so underrated. People remember the watermelons but his stand up was so good.
He wasn't really underrated, just in a bad time. His videos stayed sold out at the video store when I was a kid. He is a pop culture icon. He just never kept going with tv shows and movies like say Eddie Murphy.
HIs standup was smart! Like a PG Bill HIcks.
@@tnwhiskey68 oh nvm, I misunderstood what u said
Who underrated him?
Pretty big crowd for someone that’s “underrated”
"We're all kinda English or European." Yeah, OK, buddy.
they don't make comedians anymore like this.
Intelligent Man. Made me laugh til tears ran down my cheeks
Rip great comedian!!
