So many old school games were designed to trigger anxiety, I swear. You mentioned Operation and that made me think of other classics like Perfection where you had to get all the tiny shapes into their respective spots on the board before the timer ran out and popped all the pieces back out. We might as well have been diffusing a bomb. 😂

Happy December! I also cannot believe it's here. This is my birthday month, so it's especially unbelievable how quickly the year flew by when I realize my birthday is only a little over 2 weeks away. I tend to be a bit of a humbug about Christmas because a combination of the holiday and wintry weather conditions have a tendency to overshadow my birthday celebrations each year, but I still have a few holiday specials from my childhood I'll be watching after my birthday is past. For me, Christmas season isn't underway until my birthday is done, much the same way as how spooky season begins for you right after your birthday ends. The next couple of weeks is my time, lol. Ambrosia generally has canned fruit cocktail, chopped or sliced fresh fruits and nuts, then whip it up with mini marshmallows and Cool whip, and let it set for a day so the marshmallows can melt down. 😋

Oh Maverick... he sure is lucky he's cute. I know you could never stay mad at that sweet face. No black Friday shopping for me this year. I am pricing out a few household items across this weekend through cyber Monday but yarn-wise I don't think there are any must-haves at the moment. I have some concerns over what might happen with imported yarn prices next year, but thankfully my yarn wall is well-stocked right now. I'm currently finishing up a blanket for my nephew so that will probably make an appearance in the FB group either today or when the December Great Fiber Cake Off thread goes live, depending how much craft time I get today.

That square is adorable and hilarious. 😂 It definitely adds another layer of 80s goodness to the project. If you're willing, I'm sure many of us would love to see a preview photo of the squares all laid out, when your are arranging them to do the final count of how many Heather or black/red Stranger Things squares you need to get the right dimensions. I think today's squares are really pretty. I definitely know the Joann yarn of which you spoke. I'm not a Christmassy person either, but admittedly when I saw Erin reveal her Joann holiday yarn haul, a few of the colorways caught my eye. Some of them were already sold out, and I couldn't really justify the rest of them right now. I hope you enjoy the puppy party. I look forward to photos. Have a safe and memorable Thanksgiving!

I love the new shirt. Speaking of children, today is a special day here because it's Julian-niversary. Two years ago today I brought my little man home from the shelter. Unfortunately I couldn't take the whole day off to spend with him, but I am working remotely today so I'm sure he'll keep me company some of the day. My holiday weekend begins tomorrow mid-day, so more quality time is just around the corner. Nice timing on today's squares. I'll tell Julian you made them for him. 😉🧡 They look great! Julian has honey brown eyes, but I love your extra green accent. I'll drop a photo of him in the group later. I have two finished blankets to reveal anyway so he'll be modeling.
