It's a good idea to visit London in the winter as there are not as many tourists, but just beware that some tourist attractions outside London (e.g. stately homes) close down for winter, many close in October or November and reopen at Easter.

We have loads of coos in Glasgow. They live in Pollok Park.

Loch Ness: the British Army Royal Engineers Diving Section use this lake for training. It is a dark experience due to the peat in the water. The lake gets violent 'storms' 300 feet down usually set off by underwater landslips, these storms cause waves on the surface that travel the length of the loch and look very like an animal on the surface. The maximum depth is over 700 feet but this loch is not the deepest, that is Loch Morar at over 1,000 feet.
