    Poor sound quality and a bit of mumbling the words. I might look in another time.

    When you can repair a broken chain saw and make it work again , it’s rewarding. Especially after a tree landed on it.

    Bill I had my Stihl MS 362c fall out of the bucket on my skid loader and snapped the top handle. I know how you’re feeling about this problem. It sucks.

    Bill have you considered a walk behind brush mower. It wouldn’t take up much space in your building. It should be easier on you over the hand held model.

    So, it has been a year, how is the saw working out for you? I am thinking about buying one.

    I have a knock off as well, Bill. I placed a bit of foam inside of the filter cut to shape with oil through the foam. You can use a screw driver to open the plastic filter housing and when you put the foam in just click them back together again. A good idea also is to put a small rubber O ring over the bolt and push it down to the filter so as to seal anything from going into the carby through the gap. The Stihl saws bar sprocket is oiled by the bar oil off the chain, Stihl have made them that way and very easy to maintain

  • @briannelson4493
    @briannelson4493 25 днів тому

    Stihl designed their saw bars so the roller nose oils with the chain oil. When you sharpen the hooks you should use a file and touch up the drive link so it keeps the groove in the bar cleaned out

    Bill you should be able to get crushed rock with fines in it that packs great but you need the fines.

    It can surprise you how long a two cycle engine can sit and start. I let two of my chain saws sit for four years and start on the fourth pull.

    Bill the first thing i would do is remove the leg in the front and put a crank up down leg on it to much trouble when moving it the way it is set up now .Either one with a foot or a wheel .

    Good morning, Bill. Enjoyed watching you this morning. Especially the part where you're using the rake. Ha! It's good to see someone else on the handle of a rake other than me! LOL I'm looking forward to seeing that target range in use. I enjoy target shooting myself and look forward to some of that. Sis had a chuckle when you talked about putting that chain repair link somewhere where you would know where to find it but not remembering where that place is. I am famous around here for not finding things that I have put away because I can't remember where I put it. Have a great rest of your day!

    Nice job with the carpet Bill, I didn’t know New Holland designed their machines that way. GEHL has an external plug and a sight glass for checking the level. Thanks for the reply.

    Bill looks like one would be farther ahead to just loosen the drain plug and lower the level that way. It was a good idea though.

    I will continue to follow you, Bill. You have been an inspiration to me to get more done. I have so much to do that I get a little down and then it's hard to get started on projects. I am cleaning and organizing my shop currently. I must confess that I am one of those who hates to throw something away because it might come in handy someday. LOL It got so bad that I couldn't even work in my shop because the saws, work benches, and floor were so covered that I couldn't even use a saw or a workbench when I needed to. Thanks for the example you are to me.

    Thanks for the inspiration, Bill. My shop area is 22X26 and has turned into a mess. It began to be neglected while my wife was battling cancer and has continued for several years. It is primarily a wood working shop with workbenches and a few table/cabinet type tools. My problem has been saving every little scrap of hardwood for some future use that never happened. I have worked for a couple days cutting up scraps for firewood kindling and organizing what was really worth saving. Clearing off workbenches is next, and soon, I'll be able to start woodworking again. I make small tables, cabinets, and chess boards from native hardwoods that I have harvested and had kiln dried for these uses. So, even a small piece of walnut or honey locust has a lot of value due to all the work to get it to the dried and planed state , ready to use.

    It takes time to clean and rearrange the inside of a building. I do that with my pole shed once or twice a year. It’s 36by 48 twelve foot walls gravel floor, my new garage is 30by40 ten foot walls concrete floor it to will need cleaning at some point.

    Bill if your battery is stoned dead you will have to replace it. I’ve yet to see a dead battery come back to life. What happens is they freeze in the winter and break the plates a charged battery won’t do that.

    Bill if you go on line you could possibly print a wiring schematic then you’ll have a better idea how the circuit works. You could be looking at low voltage in the safety circuit
