Lmao “sensible” banning all guns. Lib brainslop
Yeah that’s the joke lol
1:09 Pretty much 🤷🏽♂️
Well well well, isn it this time again
I mean guns are pretty much illegal in California
So this is happening right now
Gun control wasn't a conversation until the Black Panthers encouraged black people to own guns. Then people suddenly had a problem with gun ownership
Wow she is insufferable
It’s funny that PC called banning all guns “sensible gun legislation”
That's what NRA and Reagan did when black folks began being a little bit too fan of 2nd amendements
People from Nashville should relate to this
And Diane managed to get guns banned in California, thus empowering criminals and making the state much more dangerous for regular citizens. What a heroine 😂
Yeah, but on the bright side, accidental weapon discharges and male sewer slide rates in California dropped almost overnight. As did the number of socially inept losers who couldn't operate the black market with a training manual taking daddy's Bushmaster to the local elementary school because they saw Stacy holding hands with Tyrone at college and now think the West has fallen.
Man, this just hit my feed Nov 2024
LOL
Will this work in real life should all women start openly carrying while they are out?
Ask the Black Panthers.
Yes
Black Panthers callback lol But honestly, kind of predicted the 2024 election too… “I can’t believe this country hates women more than…” History really does repeat itself
People actually voluntarily watch this idiotic preachy propaganda? This is the first and last clip of this show I'm ever going to watch. The delusional writers don't have a clue about what they're writing about. American gun owners love to introduce women to shooting. American gun culture is pro-gun for everyone. People carrying guns doesn't cause mass murder, it's for self-defense and everyone has a right to self-defense. If you are as prejudiced agaisnt conservative white men as this show is, try a women's, left-wing, LGBT, or minority gun group. The Liberal Gun Club, the Pink Pistols, Socialist Rifle Association, National African-American Gun Association, Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, etc. Although big-tent groups like the National Rifle Associated and Gun Owners of America are very welcoming to friendly people of all backgrounds. Everyone has a right to the ability to defend themselves from being murdered.
The episode was literally a callback to the Milford Act of 1967. Black Panthers started carrying guns to protest police brutality, so republicans prohibited publicly carrying loaded firearms without a permit in California. Turns out republicans hate black people even more than they like guns.
definitely should stay on twitter shows like south park or the simpsons are going to be very triggering to you and musk, they make fun of the uneducated whites and judeo-christian cult insecurity/persecution complex by calling them "cis" or "vaccinated" or "homo sapiens" (yes we know, very scary and satanic heresy words). musk has a safe space set up where you can identify as a victim
i can tell this cartoon is far beyond your ability to understand it.
Do you think every citizen should get a free gun, ammo, and firearms safety training from the government, at the taxpayers expense? Because that's what I believe. My communist ideals extend to the firearm. Can you say your ideals do the same?
Salt mine over here
That “no?” At the end got me
Due to UA-cam warning me that I'm a cyber bully, I can't have a relevant comment here.
This is, by far, the dumbest take in the entire show. It was out of touch when it aired, and it's out of touch now.
This isn't even parody ffs.
"If we pretend all men are misogynists that want to control women, we can make a good point in our gun control episode!" Fuck off, lmao you have to strawman EVERYONE to cater to your slice of reality to make your point not seem stupid and unrealistic. These people are insane, fuck this show
Someone's malding over a cartoon show about a horse with depression lma9
@iamnothere3735 Don't cheapen the thing you agree with to make the people who are mad about it look silly. Does the cartoon horse show have an important message about gun control and patriarchy, or doesn't it? Is it important what values are presented in a media work, the pernicious lens through which it shows us our own world and represents us to ourselves, or is there nothing ever worth taking seriously in any animated or fantastical work? You can't sell your cake and eat it, too. No more of this "it's just a show bro" dismissal when media literacy and pop culture analysis is such a big force in the world. Actually address this fool's argument or remain silent.
@Ricky-yo6uv I wasn't being serious lol, this show is easily a top 3 favorite shows of all time for me, and I understand media literacy. I was just finding it funny that this guy is malding over the fact that a satirical episode about gun violence is "unrealistic"
Man I hate this show
Ironically the right wing crowd actually encourages women to get guns
The episode was literally a callback to the Milford Act of 1967. Black Panthers started carrying guns to protest police brutality, so republicans prohibited publicly carrying loaded firearms without a permit in California.
@ I mean now days, though you are right about Regan I believe played a role in that act
That's because they imagine it like five black guys dropping their basketball to rush down a white woman, when the reality is it's closer to Brock Turner taking a drunk coed behind the dumpster at a rager.
Reddit tier garbage
This is kind of stupid but thinks it is smart, which is kind of depressing. No one has a problem with women owning guns so no one would think to ban guns to stop women owning them. Also an outright ban on something cannot be described as common sense. This clip is a good example of how prejudiced people make up straw men to hate though. I will give it that. But not on purpose, which is again kind of depressing.
The episode was literally a callback to the Milford Act of 1967. Black Panthers started carrying guns to protest police brutality, so republicans prohibited publicly carrying loaded firearms without a permit in California.
@@averycheesypotato Does it work as satire though? The Milford Act of 1967 made it harder for unpermitted gun owners to carry loaded firearms. So it actively made things harder for those without permits. Fair in spirit but in practice it punished non-permit holders. But here the law just bans all guns in the state so no one has them. Everyone is affected equally. So I don't see how it's meant to be a slam against society being misogynistic if Men in the state also lost their guns.
@@PlanetZoidstar they no doubt planned to make it harder for some individuals to get permits than others- but regardless they did pass legislation only because they didn’t want others to have guns. You can’t say Bojack wasn’t satirizing that
@@averycheesypotato I just don't think it was an effective satire because it put everyone on a level playing field so no one in the state could have guns. So I don't understand Diane's point that "America hates women more than it loves guns" if they're taking the guns away from the men too. It's not really an accurate satire since there's no proof that women were being legally discriminated against in the show on the ownership of guns the way blacks were in the 50's and 60's. Discrimination doesn't work if it affects everyone equally. Plus it was only a statewide ban, not a nationwide ban, so Diane should be critiquing California specifically, not the entire USA.
@@PlanetZoidstar the Milford act affected every gun owner, it was just enacted for racist reasons. The ban in Bojack affected everyone, it was just enforced due to misogyny. And I really don’t think you can claim misogyny doesn’t exist in the Republican Party today.
Peak liberal nonsense. People who support gun rights believe that women should have guns to protect themselves. This would never happen.
The episode was literally a callback to the Milford Act of 1967. Black Panthers started carrying guns to protest police brutality, so republicans prohibited publicly carrying loaded firearms without a permit in California.
This is literally what conservatives have been telling people to do for years lmao.
“Sensible” 👀 sure
Democrats have been banning guns sense Republicans freed the slaves
Sense? Maybe brush up on your grammar and I’ll consider taking you seriously.
The episode was literally a callback to the Milford Act of 1967. Black Panthers started carrying guns to protest police brutality, so republicans prohibited publicly carrying loaded firearms without a permit in California.
This scene did make me wonder why feminists don’t support gun ownership as much. These days, being a woman seems terrifying, so why don’t more advocate arming themselves?
Because more guns doesn’t fix anything
They're letting us think they aren't armed, which is the smart thing to do. If you don't treat your gun like a surrogate cock, nobody who isn't a very trusted loved one should even know you have it without having to snoop.
At least in California. There, they say being a woman is up to you, and that somebody's invisible feelings matter more than visible reality, and also others people's thoughts and feelings
All it takes is the "wrong people" to get guns and suddenly everyones willing to talk about gun control. There was a short period where gun control laws were getting passed in individual cities because trans people started carrying guns for self defense
The episode was a callback to the Milford Act of 1967. Black Panthers started carrying guns to protest police brutality, so republicans prohibited publicly carrying loaded firearms without a permit in California
And people talk big like other countries are oppressing women and the west is the great liberator of women
I want to see Star Fox in this universe
When you’ve decided you’re never going to advocate for common sense gun safety laws, reacting to massacres becomes more of an inconvenience and an obligation than something that truly upsets you.
More realistic: 'Only men can own guns now.'
Its almost like the people who wrote this scene dont realize conceal carry laws were specifically passed and promoted so women could defend themselves against rapists. fire arms are the great equalizer and that is a good thing
Deep thought is just not their thing.
The least accurate part is that they actually made gun ownership illegal. They could only do that after enough people had their "Fuck you got mine"
South Park did it better.
No they did not.
1:10 thats dumbest take i heard this year :D, someone had try and think hard to make such stupid speach and show 0 accountability to even a cartoon whaman.
All I see is a retard trying to look like he knows how to write
@@micah_the_rat_the_secondsame, that’s Trump supporters for you though

bro is proving the point
Replace guns with government power
This just continues to age like wine
Nah, thats just on California. It should never happen on Texas.
California was willing to ban guns before having a "woman shooter"
The episode was literally a callback to the Milford Act of 1967. Black Panthers started carrying guns to protest police brutality, so republicans prohibited publicly carrying loaded firearms without a permit in California.
Imagine if a particular sector of the population comitted a high percentaje of crime. Im sure the goverment would ban guns
"The first mass killing by a woman since 1982 took place on Jan. 30, 2006, when Jennifer San Marco, 44, shot and killed a former neighbor before going on a suicidal rampage at a mail processing plant in Santa Barbara, Calif., where she killed six others." So the Bojack universe is better than reality. In the US, people, not just men, have normalised regular mass shootings than protecting the lives of their own people or children.
My only problem with dianes dialogue is: "you can create a society...", implying men have ti donthe work for women instead of working together.
Did you see a woman among those politicians? Who are they supposed to be working together with? Much of the episode is addressing the inherent power imbalance of women in our society.
@valiensr1037 and that balance doesnt change of women ask men to work for them
Bojack takes mental health issues so seriously. Any other issue... not so much.
Stuff like this episode is meant to be a satire, that was the intention
@iamnothere3735 I know, that's why I said they weren’t taking it seriously.
Yep. No notes. Perfect 👌
This show has always been spot on about everything.
